You got stuff. Now you need stuff for the stuff. Decent prices and unique items you don't easily find anywhere else keep us coming back. For example, I got a great free standing bike rack. Ikea has them licked sometimes, but Container Store isn't such overload. read more

Two trips for particular shelves and storage options not readily available in the big Homeowner Hell box stores, and I have to say we're fans now. The only drawback is finding someone to help you when they are busy (and they were busy both times we went), but when you do get staff help it is both knowledgeable and efficient. Super friendly, and made sure we had all the little bits and pieces needed to put the items together. I went a couple days ago. Maybe they are working on their computer systems, but I had to wait 25 minutes to check out. There were only two people in front of me. By the time I was checked out, there were 7 people waiting in each line. LOTS of employees walking around, but apparently only two people "qualified" to work the registers. No wonder brick and mortars are struggling. read more

I love this place! For me, it is all about keeping it organized. There are so many nifty containers and sorting solutions. One visit to this store will have you rethinking your clutter situation. They even make trash and laundry look good. On top of all that, the people working in the store are incredibly friendly and helpful when you need it. 13 days..... The store is great - love their products. Do not order online unless you have lots of time to wait on your products. I placed an order on Feb 15th. Still no shipping information on the 21st, so I called - should be shipping soon. No shipping information on the website on the 22nd, so I called - the customer service rep was very friendly, told me the label had been created and would ship out that day. No shipping information on the 23rd, and the tracking number she gave me was not valid.I called again on the 25th - 10 days after placing my order online - and was told it would be shipping out within the hour. Checked 3 hours later, still not shipped. My order finally shipped late on the 25th, will not be delivered until the 28th. 13 days. I will continue to get inspiration from the Container Store, but will buy things elsewhere from now on. read more

OH MY GOD! I called the store to make sure they had the item I was looking for, and they were holding it at the register for me. Although I am only doing curbside pickups at most places, I thought it would be a quick in and out. There were SO many people in the store and they only had 2 people working registers - the line literally wrapped around the interior of the store! The distancing in the line is a joke, as people milling about the store walk right through the line to get down each aisle. It was so scary I had to leave the store. They are crazy to not have more people working the registers so that people can check out more quickly AND should limit the number of people in the store at one time. Ir, better yet, offer a better, more timely curbside pick up option. SHAME ON YOU!!!! read more

Was at one time my favorite store .... they have not made good decisions. They no longer carry shipping boxes ...and I waited 1 hour to buy one one size box they had left. Last time I go to Container Store. Save yourself the headache - order from Amazon. read more

I get such a bone on for office supplies and organizational stuff so this store satisfies my every need! I make my own soaps, grooming products, and blend body oils; this place is the best for finding the perfect containers for that type of stuff. They seem to have a leak-proof version of any kind of bottle/jar you can imagine. Their kitchen section is fantastic as well. I start to get overwhelmed by all the container options for kitchen items and beverages! They also have cute little knickknacks that make good gifts or convenient items for the car or backpack. Their helpful employees are very friendly, and they seem to know every detail of the store so they can quickly guide you to whatever you need. I also think they have reasonable prices. Why the vitriol? The Container Store does exactly what it says: it sells containers. Yes, the prices here are high retail but there are containers and solutions here you simply won't find elsewhere. I especially like the office and kitchen sections. Granted, a lot of things you find here are also at IKEA or Target for 20% less, but you should go there for those things and buy the things you CAN'T find elsewhere here. And if you're smart about waiting for the sales you can score a decent bargain now and again. A number of the boxes and whatnot you'll find here bear resemblance to certain IKEA boxes etc, but the variety and construction on the boxes here are better. The cardboard is thicker, or the plastic is of better construction. Plus the service at the Container Store is always top notch. While I loves me some IKEA, it can be a challenge to find one of their yellow-shirted reps when you need one. Bottom line: come here when you need exactly the right thing and don't mind paying a little more for it. I drop in 3 or 4 times a year and rarely leave unhappy. read more

Their curbside pickup system is poor. They sent me a text but it said I had to click on the email. Since I was in my car I didn't have access to my email which I can't get on my phone. I called the store directly while waiting and waiting while parked I. The curbside pickup assigned spot, but they never did answer the phone. Poor system. read more

This store is poorly managed and rude. I stood in a line of approximately 10-12 people deep to checkout with one checker. I Asked if one of the 3 + other people could please open a new lane. Finally they did , then a return came in and they took them in front of the others who had been waiting in line a very long time. I finally checked out and She took my credit card twice (hope I don't get double charged), and then no bag. I asked if I could please have a bag and she said we only give them if you ask in a rude tone and look . Sorry I asked . Also a note that the shelves are pretty bare. read more

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Container Store and everything they sucker me into! The only reason I am not giving this location 5 stars is for the customer service, which seems to be a trending issue here. It's really hit or miss, but mostly miss with them. Yes, the prices are a little high, but it's a unique product set, that is very well thought out. The store IS dog-friendly, which is great!! I definitely get far more customer service attention when I have my dog with me though, and it's usually centered at the front of the store. I have found it a little more difficult to get help on the isles, and the employees always seem to be very task-focused and don't want to be bothered. Lack of open registers also seems to be a constant issue. They are very helpful and happy to accommodate you when it comes to returns though, because I have purchased online and received damaged product on arrival, which they quickly made right for me! I haven't personally used their closet installation services (although I would love to), but I have gotten their guidance and input, which was very helpful! read more

I absolutely love this store and the staff that works there. Have been going for years and have never had a less than great experience. Whether I am spending $10 or $3,000 they are helpful, kind, experienced and knowledgeable. From designing to installing our Elfa closet each step was enjoyable and we are thrilled with the result. Marvelous too is that they are dog friendly and always treat my little Papillon like a welcomed guest. Would give them extra stars if I could. read more

Seriously... Next to Cici's pizza these people could write a book on customer service. I've bought from them for over five years for my business and each and every time I go in, they are amazing. This last time I went in I was a little nervous because I've never return/exchange anything at the container store. No need to since with most they have is great quality and extremely affordable for what you get. When I walked in, Laurie greeted me with a smile and asked how she could help me immediately. She took the items from out of my hand and told me they would be at the front counter whenever I was ready to process my exchange. When it came time I was greeted by another friendly smile by Robin (i'm 90% sure that was her first name ) who asked me if I was a Pops rewards member, like they always do and she ranted and rave about how great the program was and telling me how smart I was for being on it. I found what I wanted which was a little bit more expensive than what I originally purchased and in less than two minutes I was on my way out the door with a big smile on my face excited to write this particular review. Keep up the good work! Customer for life! One more thing... If you're looking for a big black insulated bag that has wheels, handles and all kinds of secret pockets for less than $150, they've got it! Works perfect for transporting cupcakes :-) read more

As a Professional Organizer, not only do I love just hanging out in this store getting tons of ideas for projects and clients, but the staff here is great. Everyone is always so helpful and friendly, the bathrooms are clean, and the products (though a bit pricey) are of great quality. I had a great experience with my elfa consultation. who had the idea of making a store that sells boxes? Anyways, I was dragged into this store by my girlfriend to check out the vast varieties of boxes that I would never buy. I didn't check the prices like Cody R. did, but if i ever go again, I will. They seriously do have a ton of containers and container-like things. Helps you out for reals if you need to decorate a room fast. I did notice that a lot of the containers were rather low quality. I mean they look really cool on the shelf cuz they are all different colors and it's cool to see a rainbow them... but to buy just a couple of them, and try to decorate with them.... eh... eh. read more

I love this place. It quells the "wishing to be organized" part of me. Sure it's a tad pricey, but some things, like basic containers, are rather cheap, and you wont find them anywhere else (the underbed boot boxes, for example). I unfortunately moving from my beloved Austin, and went in today looking for space bags in order to bring as much junk with me on my cross country trip. The girl who helped me was super smart (which is becoming more rare with sales associates it seems!), friendly, and funny. She gave me a warning about flying with the space bags, as you can cram so much into them that your suitcase can end up weighing a ton. She listened to me babble about what I needed to pack, and recommended the best bags for me. What was even nicer was that when I checked out, the clerk asked if I had ever used a space bag before...and I hadn't, so he warned me not to compress the bag with my down comforter fully unless I wanted to have a never-again poofy comforter! Try having someone give you that info at a big box store. Love this place, and although it can be a bit pricey, the employees are wonderful and so helpful! read more

This store exudes good management. The staff is accessible, friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. I brought back a shelf that didn't work for me. I had dropped it in the parking lot when I was taking it out after purchase and chipped a corner; I pointed it out when I returned it, and they waived any charge without a thought. On another occasion, I was considering a purchase to solve a closet problem; the manager took the initiative to recommend another more efficient and cheaper solution, which turned out to be right on. Such attitudes and service come from the top. It's a great shopping experience there! read more

The only thing I've purchased from here is little white mailing boxes, wrapping paper, and some of those cool little colored plastic boxes that they sell. They have a ton of stuff for putting a good care package together. You can find that most of it is made in the good old USA too. One stop shopping for boxes and wrapping, I love it! read more

I love the container store. Its a deadly love though, as it empties my wallet fast. However, when they have a sale, it's a great deal. I just recently moved, and they have had a sale, which has been perfect timing. I love the new ability now to order on-line, and pick up directly at the store. If you call ahead, you can park in the special spots upfront, and they deliver it to you. Super quick and easy. I haven't tried the parking, as I just like to walk. But, I suppose it might be better, as even when I go in to pick stuff up, I find other things to buy that I thought I could never live without. There is a solution to all your messy needs. I have never had a problem returning things, and service has always been helpful and friendly. read more

This store is big and has a great selection of Container Store stuff. The staff is friendly. There is plenty of parking. I don't really know what else to say. If you have ever been to a Container Store, you know exactly what to expect. The location is prime, just off of Highway 183 between Best Buy and the Arboretum. read more

This store really does have everything you never even knew you needed to organize your life! They have separate sections for kitchen, office, laundry, closet, bath, etc. The staff is very very friendly and helpful, so if you can't find something, don't worry. I was especially impressed with their garage organization section and hook selection. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because the prices are kind of steep, and if you had time to drive around or shop online for everything, you could definitely find it for less. read more

I only go for the sales at Container Store, which are great. I went by for their Happy Home Sale & found a number of items for back to school. Salespeople weren't very friendly today but it appears that they all were re-stocking. However, the cashiers were great. This is a fun store. The Container Store sounds pretty dumb, but once going in, you find containers for everything! It's another way to get organized with your belongings and food. Containers for your pasta, containers for your shoes, containers for your medication, containers for clothing, containers for your containers! I went and bought some really convenient containers for traveling on airplane. I also bought some big bins for extra blankets and sheets, just so they can be protected from pests and water. The Container Store is a good store, makes you wish you could've thought of something as simple as that. read more

So Impressed! I have had many a professional closet installed but I have to say The Container Store has really exceeded my expections from top to bottom! My very helpful design expert, Michael, worked with me through several issues I had, in particular about the demo of my old closet. It required a rip out that I was very nervous about, as it was solid wood. I thought it would take much more than a little patch and paint but my installer, John Anderson, was so careful and detail oriented that you can almost not even tell there was an old closet in there before my new beautiful and very functional Elfa system! I have shopped at The Container Store in SA and Houston for years, have been in the store in Austin with mixed emotions about the customer service. There return policy was always very lax, and they would do anything to help. So I went in to the Austin store and bought some thing for my elderly fathers new apartment, about 3 to 4 hundred dollars worth of stuff. Not long after I rented my father his new apartment, he was confined to a nursery home after a stroke. He passed not long after that never getting to even open the things that we had purchased. After going through all the process of estates and wills, I was finally able to clean out his unused place, which all the things we had purchased were still brand new. I packed it all up, with receipts to return them to The Container Store, thinking they had a very lenient return policy. I was first told after many tries, told me I could not return then because the system was down. Finally, they said the system was up and the person at the register began doing my return. At the end of the transaction I was told I would have a store credit, when I asked why, I was told I had exceeded their return time frame, at which I said there is nothing stating that on the receipt. The register person said they could see if a manager could approve a refund, at this point, came the worst excuse for a manager I could imagine. A lady comes older, with a British accent, and I explained to her what I had just been through and it was out of my control on losing my father. At that point she told me there was nothing she could do for me except a store credit. I again try to explain why the return why the was delayed, when she said " I just lost my father as well, and that is not an excuse"! I was dumbfounded, and then explained there was no return policy on the receipt. She then pointed at a return policy posted next to the register, as small as this print, saying it is right here. I was than given a store gift card for $398 which I took outside and handed to someone walking in, telling them to enjoy this gift from the witch inside. I had been a customer of TCS for years, NEVER AGAIN! Garret Boone would be embarrassed of this, and Kip Tindell should be ashamed of letting this company come to this. I will never be back. read more
