Overall, eh. Wasn't that great but wasn't terrible. I probably wouldn't go back but it was worth to try once. The wings were dry but the flavor was good. The Mac and cheese was awesome, needed salt but great. We also got the Buffalo chicken grilled cheese and that was also very dry and barely had any sauce. It was really just chicken and bread. The waffle fries were amazing though. The pig Mac was like a fresh Big Mac. And the wedge salad was also good, just needed more dressing which I ordered later. Overall it was alright. Came here for breakfast with my wife with high expectations. The staff was friendly and nice but the food was mainly underwhelming. We had a Parisian omelette and breakfast burrito. Neither dish had any seasoning whatsoever. The Parisian omelette was dense and the Gruyere cheese in it reeked. We brought half the omelette home and when reheated it smelled like a wet kitchen rag. The breakfast burrito was not bad but it was also not good. There was no salt, pepper or seasoning of any kind. The only saving grace was that it did not smell bad like the omelette. You are probably just as well off to get breakfast at Denny's. We may try again for lunch but $30 for food of lower quality than what probably will cost you $15 at a Denny's or IHOP we won't be back for breakfast. read more

We had two burgers that fit the bill :) The burger I had was a mix of brisket and short rib which made for a smooth tasting burger. You have a choice of sides which I choose sweet potato fries and although good could have been crispier. You don't come here for health, none of the menu items are healthy whatsoever, so you definitely have to commit to the calories. I love the Brie and Fig burger, as the sweetness of the fig jam is delicious! I also love sweet potato fries, and they always give a generous helping of fries. They are sort of soggy though and not the best sweet potato fries I've ever had. My friend loves the Mac n cheese and swears by it! So here I am, just a guy from out of town looking for a local spot to enjoy before heading back home. I peeped Yelp for some places and came across this place with some good reviews! The oldest wait staff looked no older than 15 and were generally not great/helpful. Took me a minute just to get some water to drank and I placed my order for the spicy omelette, as I enjoy spicy foods. When my omelette came out, I was aghast. You could see how dark the egg looked from across the room, this mfer was BURNT. I tried to find solace from my burnt eggs in the fruit that came with it, but christ the damn fruit was so underripe it was inedible too... When I brought this to the attention of my server, she seemed to disregard my issue and barely mustered an apology. It's really not hard to make eggs, how can you mess up this badly? I stumbled upon this place while searching for lunch while traveling for work. I was going to get pizza at the shop down the street but saw this spot on the corner and figured I'd get a burger. Who doesn't love a good burger? Especially if it's what they're know for. The server was nice, but when I got my drink he didn't return for over ten minutes to take my order, as he was talking to another server near the kitchen. He also didn't ask how the food was until I was almost finished eating, and to which I replied "it's ok." As a long time server myself, when a customer says their meal is just "okay" that means they aren't satisfied. That's when you inquire about what was wrong, or can I fix something for you? This didn't happen here. Anyway, I ordered the Chipotle Burger and paid the extra dollar for a brioche bun. The top of the bun was over toasted with black burn marks and was so dried out. The bottom of the bun was so soaked with grease I had to remove it. You could wring the bun like a sponge it was that disgustingly soaked. The chipotle mayo was literally three table spoons glopped on top, which was an overwhelming amount that makes the burger grossly sloppy and hides all flavor of the burger. The bacon was too over cooked to chew and i couldn't bite through the onion in the overcooked onion ring. I ordered the burger rare, as you can only order rare, medium or well done burgers. The rare I received makes me wonder what medium and well done means here. For a place that's charging $15.50 for a burger while also promoting burgers as their specialty, I went in confident I was going to be receiving a delicious meal. Place is not too bad, the servers were awesome and they were quick, polite, and would refill our water even before we asked them to. The food wasnt bad either, the burger was too high for me to eat like a normal burger,the patty was a bit bland but it can be fixed with condiments. the waffle fries and sweet potato fries were spot on like the wings. This is one of my local favorites. Burgers here are always solid! Make sure to let them know if you want lettuce and tomato, etc, they'll accommodate most burger toppings. A solid 3.5 stars - they were extremely busy when I stopped by for lunch on a weekend with a friend. We both got different types of grilled cheeses with fries. They were delicious - and for the price, I'm not complaining. The one thing I will say is that the server was super awkward and kept forgetting things (like our water, cutlery, what we ordered...) - not sure if this was a one off experience or an "off" day for the waiter but besides that, I honestly don't really have any complaints. We felt like the actual burger meat barely had flavor itself. The mac and cheese on the burger wasn't beyer flavorful either. The fig jam was just kinda in a blob in the middle rather than spread out on the bun. Definitely didn't live up to the expectation. The fries, however, were great. Also, after the meal we felt awful. The burger my brother had was garnished with fried pickles, was huge and looked simply delicious. Ordered the Baked Brie burger that has brie, fig jam, and bacon on two patties of medium cooked beef. Also Waffle Fries. Individually the ingredients were cooked fine. Moist patties, no overcooked bacon (though I would've preferred it crispier), simple fig jam. Flavor wise it was alright. Almost like no thought process was involved in how the combo would work together or no effort was made to make the ingredients elevate each other. Superficially the combo sounds nice and there's an expectation it would be interesting but the ingredients just sat there without interaction, particularly the brie and jam. Like oil and water. While the brie was generous, together with the jam there was no grip to hold the brie and bacon into place between the patty and bun, making some cheese and bacon slide/ooze out of the burger as you ate. Waffle fries were crispy and thick with just a few pieces being extremely over salted. A sprinkle of herbs probably would have made them even better. Overall a trendy place you can imagine in Brooklyn (chalkboard, light bulb hanging lights, use of jars to drink out of, burgers served on a steel tray with newspaper printed tissue wax paper, sustainable take home packages) whose food was underwhelming despite being made well. Came to The Committed Pig for brunch. We were seated quickly but sat in what must've been the smallest, tightest table in the restaurant. Our server was super attentive and checked in on us frequently. We started with a round of coffee and they come in individual thermos so you can refill as you go. My husband ordered the Kitchen Sinker and I got the Fuego Omelette. The Kitchen Sinker was huge and smothered in cheese, bacon, and Taylor ham. My husband was in heaven. My omelette was okay. The description says it comes with salsa but it was just jalapeños, chorizo, and potatoes. I think it needed the salsa and perhaps some more cheese.
