I have gone to The Color Room for years because of the owner, Shiela Arsenault. She listens and gives excellent feedback as to how best accomplish the look I want. Every single time, I walk out feeling completely satisfied and loving everything done. As I sit in the salon, I hear pleasant conversations, stylists actually listening to their clients needs and wishes, and honest feedback. They are not going to try to just "make the sale" but tell you the honest truth so that you are both satisfied and get the look you want. Today I got a Brazillian Blowout from Allison Hackett. I have extremely thick and frizzy hair. Sheila had given me the perfect cut after letting my hair grow. We cut over 12" off. Allison did the Brazilian Blowout and I started to cry with joy - actual tears of joy! Never has my hair looked or felt this great, styled so easy and just looked amazing. I can leave it straight or allow the curl to come out and be happy with both! I cannot stop smiling! The Color Room is not just a salon - it's a family. I would not recommend this salon at all. I booked a partial highlight appointment, but no one at the front desk asked what I actually wanted done. There was zero consultation beforehand, and when I arrived (after taking a day off work and driving over an hour), the stylist told me she didn't have enough time for the service I wanted -- and that I should have messaged her on Instagram to confirm things. According to her, this miscommunication was the front desk's mistake, not hers. She was honest and professional, and even said she could only do a quick face frame -- which is not what I came in for. (To be clear, a face frame is just a few highlights around the front, while a partial highlight covers more of the head, like the crown and sides.) She also said I probably wouldn't be happy with the result -- and she was right, so I declined. What's shocking is that no one from the front desk apologized or took any responsibility. I left with nothing done after rearranging my day -- and yet they enforce strict cancellation policies on clients. It seems like they care more about protecting their schedule than respecting your time. I've never experienced such a lack of professionalism and accountability at a salon. This is a beautiful salon! I went here for the first time and it also happened to be my first time ever adding color to my hair. I can honestly say I had the perfect experience. The environment was fun and my stylist, Halie Snyder was amazing. Halie made me feel at ease and genuinely seemed so excited to do my hair. I brought my 16 year old daughter in to darken some of the blondish coloring she had in her hair. She wanted to get back to more of her natural color with a few highlights. We showed Jazmyn some pictures and she said that she had a plan. After it was all said and done, my daughter did not like how her hair turned out; she felt it was too dark and did not suit her. I called the salon the next day, ended up speaking with Jazmyn, and she was able to get us in the same day to correct it. She was extremely understanding and wanted to do whatever needed to be done to make my daughter happy. Jazmyn came in early and spent two and a half hours of her time resolving the issues that my daughter had. I believe it was just a miscommunication of what she wanted on the part of my daughter, and not on Jazmyn's end. I am so appreciative of her patience and understanding. I was going to Mi Salon for a couple of years & heard from a coworker that I should try The Color Room out. I got a couple of haircuts from Deanna & liked them more than what I had been getting so decided to keep going & get my hair colored there too. Huge mistake. Wanted to try an ombre, but have very dark hair. She assured me that it would be fine & she could lighten it up without doing any serious damage. She teased my hair, put bleach in & then put me under the heat lamp, where I could smell my hair burning. I should have known then just how fried my hair was going to be. When she was teasing it up, she also left big strands of hair untouched so my final ombre turned out to be uneven and choppy looking with black strands all the way down, randomly throughout. So I'm pretty easy going, & even though my hair was fried & we had to cut a large amount off a couple of weeks later, I continued to go get hair cuts there because she did a good job at that. I was thinking about getting extensions & asked Deanna about Hotheads. She told me that she would look into prices, etc. So a week goes by & nothing. I call and leave a message for her & she calls back a couple of days later to tell me, apologetically, that she doesn't feel comfortable doing them yet since she hasn't done many. Okay, that's totally fine. Not sure why this wasn't communicated in the first place but anyway... she refers me to another stylist - Hayley. Hayley apparently does them often & is very experienced with Hotheads so I agree to schedule an appointment with her. She was friendly & answered all of my questions during the consult. The hair alone came to $350 & installation was $180, with a $30 tip. When I got them installed, they looked gorgeous & shiny. However, she seemed to rush through putting them in, some were very close to the surface on top of my head & were poking through but she told me that if I decided I wanted any of them moved, I could come back in & she would adjust them. She asked if I wanted it left alone (which it was kind of kinky/wavy looking) or if I wanted it curled but then seemed irritated about curling it & kind of just rushed through. She did not do any kind of haircut or trim to blend them. I went home & wore them for another day before washing. After the first wash, the nightmare started. I could feel how coarse & tacky the hair felt in the shower but just added extra conditioner on the ends. I, as advised by Hayley, bought sulfate-free shampoo & have ONLY used that on my hair. When I dried it, I was horrified. The beautiful silky hair had turned into a mess of tangles, & dry, fried split ends. Ends were breaking off all over the sink & floor and it became very apparent that this hair was extremely poor quality. My issue with The Color Room was how Hayley handled my situation. I immediately wanted them out of my hair since no amount of conditioner, product, ironing, curling, etc. could make them look good. I texted Hayley about the problem & she first asked me how I was styling them. I explained that I both curled & straightened them but that the quality was just terrible & they were fried. So she asks me to come in so that she can see them. I only blow-dry them before our meeting, so that she can see the quality without any product or heat, etc. The entire time she acted very rude to me, like I was a huge inconvenience, & just kept saying, "This is how they're supposed to look - they aren't fried at all. You haven't styled them so this is just how they're gonna look. They're not supposed to be silky and shiny, they're supposed to blend in with your real hair." First of all, they blended in with my real hair just fine straight out of the package. Now, you could tell a huge difference in my natural hair because of how dry & dead the extensions were. I was horrified & disgusted by them. I just felt terribly about how my hair looked & about spending all of that money to be disappointed. She asked if I wanted some of the ends trimmed off & we agreed that they may look better if she took about an inch off. She seemed annoyed & skimmed my hair with scissors for a minute before telling me she would be right back. I turned around and looked on the floor & there was literally NO hair down there. She had cut basically nothing. She went & got the Hotheads shampoo & started asking me about parabens or sulfates in my shampoo... which have nothing to do with the horrifying quality of the hair after one wash. She eventually just said that it was "nothing she had done wrong" & I would just have to look up the number for Hotheads & contact them. Throughout the entire process she just argued about the hair being dry and appeared very inconvenienced by me. She never followed up with me about the situation to see if I got in touch with anyone at Hotheads, so it is very evident that she doesn't care about customers at all - only money. If you are even considering extensions... avoid this place, especially Hayley, at all costs. read more

I got refereed to this place by a woman I work with. I got my lashes done on a Sunday first they booked me for a Friday they called me and said the lady wouldn't be able to do them cool so we scheduled Sunday. I got them done by a lady name Jennyfer she asked me if I could wait she's running behind cool waited an extra twenty minutes got them done they were beautiful I paid 160 plus tipped her $20that night 2 or three fell off. The next day 3 more fell off it wasn't even a week I later got in touch back with her she basically messaged me back didn't say I apologize or anything She basically sent a pictures message that said lashes shed which I understand but within one week their falling off daily never ever will I go back there read more
