I had high hopes for the coffee. I asked the barista what is the best iced drink I should get, they recommend the cold brew as it is one of their signature drinks. It was the worst coffee I ever had, extremely watered down and no flavor. I snapped this picture, tried it, immediately tossed it. They have a seasonal menu and other drink options so maybe there are better options!

Stopped by while passing through town today. We ordered two drinks, an americano and a pour over. Plus two sandwiches. The staff was unable to answer a basic question about what their fruitiest coffee was. Then it took literally 25 minutes for them to make a pour over. They seemed frustrated that I ordered that and pushed back on me after I asked an ETA on the coffee after waiting 15 minutes at that point. I'd recommend they remove pour overs from the menu because they don't seem to want to execute that, especially in a reasonable time. Ron Swanson sandwiches were good.

Great coffee, cute coffee shop, and a great place to get some work done! We had a latte and a cappuccino that both had great flavor!

Love this place! Super chill vibe inside and easy to get some good work done. They have a very extensive seasonal drink menu which is really fun and everything I've tried has all been really good! There food is good too - I had the chicken pesto panini and really enjoyed it!! Service was all very friendly and helpful!

Came here after a very early morning workout and the vibes were super cute + the barista was very friendly! She made all of our drinks and breakfast sandwiches super fast too. I got a London Fog which was super yummy (I'm unfortunately not a huge coffee person ) and a breakfast croissant with bacon in it. Got it to-go thinking I'd only eat half, but we all devoured our sandwiches. Whatever's in the sauce made it delicious!! This is gonna be our new stop after our early morning workout classes!

Usually I debate if I place is really worth 5 stars. In the case of The Coffeesmith, this was an extremely simple decision. Their menu is creative, they have wonderful products with their logo as well as handmade local products. The graphic designer is on point. I always love the decor and the motivational quotes, which can sometimes be tacky, but in this case everyone's meticulously thought out. Kudos to whoever did that. The staff is all wonderfully inviting and kind. It threw me off at first because in today's service industry I feel like anger is the driving emotion for most people. The workers were all welcoming, smiley, and polite. If I lived in the area then y'all would probably get sick of me because I'd frequent quite often. I didn't mention the product. There are so many flavors to try. I went for the peanut butter mocha and it's creamy, well balanced, and the only perfect-temperatured (not a word, I know, but oh well) drink I've ever had without having to ask the barista to not boil the drink. I'll be back soon to try other drinks and chat with the friendly folks there!

I have driven past hundreds of times and meant to try it and finally did so last week. I will now make regular visits. My friend and I both had the white chocolate mochas. They were delish! We also had muffins warmed. I found my chocolate muffin was a little dry but I will definitely be back for the coffee. It didn't have a hint of bitterness and was much less $ than Starbucks!

The Coffeesmith is a great place to have a conversation and your favorite coffee or seasonal drink.

Needed to grab something quick but good after getting our car serviced nearby before heading back into to work. Had seen that The Coffeesmith had great reviews so we decided to try it. Warm space, lots of seating, and it smelled so good! It seemed the owner or manager was training someone while he took our order and he was so kind and friendly! He gave us great recommendations for coffee drinks from their seasonal menu. We also tried one of their egg croissants and it was warm, tasty, and their special sauce on it needs to be trademarked. It was so so good! We'll definitely be back!

Wonderfully crafted! Great shop with lots of espresso and coffee options. During COVID19 review: Visited early Saturday morning right at opening. The Coffeesmith has a large following. Rightfully so partly because of the great location! And because they have great crafted beans. I got the Pablo Honey with oat milk. Excellent! It was honey, cinnamon, espresso, and oat milk. Great infusion of flavors. Perfectly creamy and the top foam was FANTASTIC! My friend had a latte and enjoyed hers fully. Spent $10.xx for two drinks Note: $1.00 up charge for oat milk, $0.75 for other non dairy milk: soy, almond, coconut. Seating available inside! Every other table is available. Those not available are easily marked. Great pandemic protocol. Outside seating is also available. Inside decor is industrial and modern. Woods and metals and hand lettered personalized wall art. They sell their own roasted beans and creatively market them with hand-lettered bags. Workers are masked. Patrons walking in were masked. My friend and I were masked. Ok to be unmasked while enjoying espresso! Overall, it was a pleasurable experience! Fantastic service. Amazing, smooth drinks. Prices were right. Great location in Waukee. Will be coming back soon!

Seating: low top tables, comfy armchairs, and high top bar seating that looks out the window. Atmosphere: Cute little coffee shop with the typical coffee shop vibes, fairly modern but still cozy. Parking: it's in a strip of businesses, so it has plenty of parking out front in the lot. Service: you go up to the counter to order and pay and bring your dishes to the bin when finished. Food/drink: I really wanted to love this place but the muffin was pretty dry. However, the coffee was good. Definitely want to go back and try again.

So many amazing coffee drink options!!! I went to order a chai and the barista recommended a similar seasonal drink, the Golden latte, so I said okay why not! The barista knew what she was doing because the drink was delicious and exactly what I wanted. The service was great, the barista was so kind (wish I caught her name!), and the drink was so good that I want to go back immediately. The Coffeesmith has great hot brewed coffee along with cold brew and nitro brew! The environment has space to hang out with friends with the 10-15 tables they have inside. It can get busy here during peak times, but it's still worth going regardless! Also, there is lot parking so it is extremely easy to navigate and find a spot to park for free! The cost is comparable to other specialty coffee shops and honestly maybe even a better price point! It was worth every penny for me.

Our coffee looks like sweet T . Coffee is super watered down. 1st time . Won't be back .

The view was beautiful, the atmosphere relaxed and inviting, and the entire space felt thoughtfully put together. The moment I stepped inside, I noticed a display of drinks that looked absolutely delightful. Everything appeared just as appealing as it sounded on the menu. What truly caught my attention, though, were the choux cream puffs. So I ordered a plate of the choux cream puffs along with an espresso. The pastry was wonderful lightly crisp on the outside with that delicate chew that good choux pastry should have. Each puff was filled with smooth, flavorful cream, and the variety of flavors made it even more enjoyable. The espresso was excellent as well rich, balanced, and exactly what I hoped for. I also appreciated the small details. The plates and the espresso cups were charming, and the setting made it easy to sit back and enjoy the moment. All in all, it was a delightful experience. DINNER It sounds like they've just started dinner service, and are still working on getting the word out! With the name "luncheonette", that might be tricky - I'd recommend updating to "dinette". Some of the items on the menu felt more of a fit for lunch than dinner. I'd love to come back and try brunch here: it seems like that's where they shine most! FOOD I had the steak frites: the steak was cooked perfectly! The "frites" were amazing, but only three felt way too small a portion for the dinner plate. Some of the other plates were a touch sparse, like the chicken mole. The country ham byo-sandwich was one that didn't seem to translate well to dinner either. The wetburgers (called something different here) were great and so cheap - $5 a slider! The steak was the biggest hit for our group! I'd also love to see some homemade desserts for dinner. Presenting handpies and oatmeal cream pies in a plastic wrap just doesn't match the elevated vibe for dinner here. They put ice cream on them, but ran out so gave us snickers ice cream bars. I think to match the prices and ambiance, a level up is necessary here.
