They have a lot of parking outside as well as online ordering for a quick pick ups. They have quite a bit of seating inside and a few tables outside. The service is always relatively quick. Their coffee is straight up good quality. They are my favorite "chain" of coffee joints to go to because the quality of coffee is there! They also use the really good 1883 syrups, which aren't overly sweet and filled with chemicals. They also carry scones from Patti's patisserie which are phenomenal, my favorite scones around! read more

I really like to support local coffee shops whenever possible and Coffee Tree Roasters is one of my favorites. This location is closest to home for me and isn't quite as large as, say, their Shadyside location, but it has all the regular and seasonal drinks, super friendly and efficient staff, and a nice cozy vibe with a little fireplace corner and lots of available seating. They have a good sized drinkware and gift section, a stocked cooler with bottled drinks and some grab and go food items. On my most recent visit I asked about what looked like a humongous cookie and it turned out to be a chocolate and peanut butter scone that was to die for. They collaborate with other local small businesses on these treats which I like, and I appreciate that they use very high-quality ingredients, such as 1883 syrups which are a big step up from what most coffee shops are using. read more

I'm probably late to the party as I just discovered this little coffee shop. I needed a break from DD and Starbucks. I wasn't disappointed! As soon as I walked in the atmosphere was so comforting and relaxed, the barista was super friendly and answered questions on drinks. I had the caramel frozacino which was sort of comparable to a Frappuccino but with more flavor IMO! They are all warm and friendly and make the best coffee. Stopped in on a recommendation from a co worker. I was in and out in a jiffy, so this review won't go too in depth. At first glance for latte flavorings, I saw cayenne. I was told to get it with mocha, so I did what everyone else would do,...listen to the barista! Right...? RIGHT!! Holy it was amazing. Not too sweet and not too spicy. I'm going to venture out on a limb here and say it was perfect! The two girls that were working there were rays of sunshine and helpful. I picked up 2 gluten free raspberry thumbprint cookies from a local bakery last second... Eh. Taste was good, but the cookies ended up falling apart all over me while eating them in the car. It was the first baked item I came across that didn't have vegetable oil in it (in the case), so that's what I grabbed. Definitely go try this place out. I'll be stopping in again! The amount for the price is the most fair I've come across at a coffee shop in Pittsburgh. The Lavender London Fog with oatmilk was incredible. Plenty of seating, very nice staff. Older crowd in the morning, excellent place to get some work done. Lots of options for snacks and meals too, but I haven't tried any. read more

Cute, clean and good atmosphere. They have many options for food, cups, bottles, pots, coffee makers, etc... The services was fast and the price is fair. My green tea was good but the Italian Lemonade disappointed a little bit. I ordered a medium vanilla latte, and my fiancé got a medium Carmel ice coffee and muffin. Both coffees were very good and made quickly. My fiancé's muffin was large and yummy! My scone was not very good, it was dry and flavorless. I was very disappointed. The total for our order was about $17. The interior of the coffee shop seemed a little run down, but it was still very busy and the employees were super friendly. I am super picky about my coffee shops! We recently moved to this area from Palm Beach and I was so worried about not finding a local spot to fit my needs. Well, I was pleasantly surprised to find this gem right down the street!! The staff are fab and know our drinks when I walk in! They even have the BEST croissants when I want to indulge ;) We even buy the beans to roast at home because it's THAT great. I get that some coffee shops are snobby. They are passionate and are active in supporting their passions. So it is ok that they wear it on their sleeve. But CTR is a chain. Here, the snobbery is simply rudeness to the customer. CTR is here to make a buck - which is fine! I love this place!! They have regular tables in the front and then a fireplace with comfy chairs in the back. People there were working, having meetings, reading the paper, etc. it was definitely a great place to hang out or meet up with friends. I ordered oatmeal and a mocha frappacino. I picked the kind of oatmeal and they added the hot water to "cook" it. My frap was very good. They also have small cups and a pitcher of ice water. After my frap and oatmeal the ice water was nice. The staff is kind and the shop is very clean. If you haven't been there you should check it out. read more

Did I mention in my last review that I love coffee? I mean, I can still remember getting doughnuts in the 3rd grade and hearing a friend say, "boy would a glass of milk be good with this," to which I replied "milk, how about some coffee?" Yeah, at 9 years old I can thank my grandmother for that... Needless to say by the time I was in Junior High it was on to espresso & cappuccinos. While the name "Starbucks" was certainly know back in those days, in my neighborhood the only place to find one was in a Barns & Noble. The Coffee Tree turned out to be our only true, stand alone coffee house and the place I was introduced to coffee culture! So, when this new location opened near us, I was pumped! Sure we have a Caribou Coffee & Starbucks now (both do a great job providing consistently excellent brews), but I like the idea of a local place that knows how to make a good cappuccino. The coffee is always excellent and aside from their usual offerings, they'll rotate out some special blends and roasts throughout the year. Finally, this location has a front wall of windows which slide completely open giving the entire café an outdoor feel, with the comforts of AC! The Staff has been great so far too, if you're in the area, check them out! read more

This place is just want West Mifflin needed- there are NO other coffee shops in the area, basically! This place is beautiful- I love the open windows, the fireplace, the cozy chairs.. it's great! The staff was wonderful when we visited and my iced tea was yummy. My boyfriend liked his cold brew coffee as well. The only thing is I wouldn't necessarily recommend studying here if you need a very quiet spot- it's all in one space and the coffee machines are pretty loud. But if you're looking for a cute place to read a book or catch up with a friend, it will work great! read more

Wait. Where are we? There are no local coffee shops out in West Mifflin so when I had to drop off some packages at the local UPS store and saw that there was coffee next store I had to stop in. I ordered a vanilla latte and my husband got a coconut iced coffee and we split a cookie. Now, it's not the most amazing coffee ever, but WAY better than starbucks and worth a stop if you are in the area. They have one of those front windows that opened the entire length of the wall and it's great for when the weather is nice! read more

I live right across the street, but I just recently noticed that this was right across the street. I only tried an iced coffee, but it tasted fresh. A little on the pricey side, but that's to be expected. The large front window was open. A small child tried to climb through it as I sat next to it. When I first got there, it was very busy. Love this coffee shop! The girls and guys who work here are super friendly. I typically get a soy latte but I occasionally try one of their sessional specialties. Everything has been REALLY good. Way better than the popular big chain coffee shops. Their pastries are always changing and look delicious. Great atmosphere for a meeting or just reading a book. When the weather is warm, they have a huge front window that they open up and let the fresh air in. They also have coffee grounds and tea for sale.
