Checking out this new coffee shop near me

A cute little coffee shop is now in the Swiss Alpine Village! Looking for something to warm me up on this chilly morning, I decided to stop by this new shop. It was so cute inside with a fireplace and cozy chairs set up with some boardgames for it's patrons. What a great spot for a chilly day! As I walked up to the counter, I was greeted with a smile as I contemplated my order. I'm a sucker for a cappuccino with cinnamon on top. The baked goods looked tasty, so I ordered a blueberry muffin as well. Both were tasty and hit the spot. I'm looking forward to my next visit to Central Coffee Shoppe. Maybe next time I'll try a latte.

Tasty cinnamon muffin and wonderful Chai Tea latte!

Stopped by today for the very first time. Absolutely adorable, warm and cozy. Great customer service. I ended up buying a Christmas ornament, a muffin and got the most lovely, hot chai tea latte. Highly recommend this place and I will be back again and again and again.

With not many places to go in this town, this coffee shop is truly a gem. The lattes are always consistent. I love how many different flavors that have, as well as the different pastries.

They are one of the few local coffee places I am aware of that offer this, which is a huge plus.

The cutest little trendy, eclectic spot in Perryopolis that we never knew existed and boy was it a find. The decor is vintage photos, paintings, drawings and even post cards on the walls and on the tables. We were greeted so warmly especially when we told them it was our first time. We chose two breakfast sandwiches, one bagel and one croissant and each were phenomenal. My husband had a mocha cappuccino and I had the Psyche-Delicate tea which was a hibiscus tea with blueberry syrup. It was sweet and delicious. This will be a new hangout for us for sure!

He enjoyed his tea and my coffee was okay, the espresso was burnt. The person who took our order was stand offish... maybe they were just having a bad day. It was not busy at all when we arrived. He got his sandwich not too long after ordering and said it was nice! Mine on the other hand...I waited over 30min for.He was well past done when I got my sandwich and my hot coffee had gone cold by that time. A small group of people walked in after my husband got his sandwich so maybe they got confused in all of that and forgot my order? I think it's cute and I like how they openly support what's right but the staff was not friendly and the long wait was unpleasant.

I asked a couple questions about the menu and was immediately directed to the BLT by a woman in the kitchen. Wow I wasn't disappointed. It was sooooo good. The bread was toasted perfectly (so it didn't kill the roof of my mouth), the tomato's and lettuce were fresh, the bacon crispy, and that basil mayo. A life changing BLT if there is such a thing. A couple side notes I appreciate. Bittersweet's marketing team deserves. Ton of credit - they have some awesome swag available for purchase. Also, this is a Christian oriented cafe with bible verses, messaging, and music. Love it! And finally, check out the story about Bittersweet's roots, its commitment to addiction recovery/support, and the owner's son's story/passing. The name "Bittersweet Cafe" will take on a deeper meaning (the news articles can be found in the walls before the counter by the bathrooms). Cheers Bittersweet, thanks for having me, and God bless!

Nice landscaping provides a near perfect setting to enjoy a cup of coffee. I ended up getting a simple red eye. It was delicious. I understand they brew Iron Star coffee out of West Mifflin. The same Iron Star that owns Coffee Tree shops. If this coffee is any indication, I think I need to visit Coffee Tree again. It's been a while. Anyway, I had a really good cup of coffee and a peanut butter and jelly cookie. No complaints on the cookie, but I wish they had some breakfast sweets like scones or cinnamon rolls. Next time I'll try some real food. Just be aware that things are a little pricey here.

My children absolutely love going here, and they really enjoy interacting with the owner. She's awesome. Every single thing that we've tried is "our favorite thing", so it's hard to choose just one thing! It all just depends on our mood, and that's awesome--knowing you're going to get whatever "favorite thing" you're in the mood for that day! And, there are lots of different options to meet EVERYONE's dietary demands. However, if we had to do special shout outs from our own family, here is an evolving list: The Sweet and Savory Sammie is our household's absolute gotta-have-it, favorite thing. The Fiesta Burrito is great. Be sure to try that at some point. I personally still get stuck on craving the avocado toast with an egg and bacon, (or any of the avocado toast specials that the owner puts together). If you're in the mood for a sandwich, ALL are good. We've tasted them all. But if we had to pick just one to try first, our household absolutely loves the Grilled Chicken Sandwich she makes. It's great. If you're in the mood for it, the owner also makes a pretty freakin' good "Italiano" with a bunch of different meats like prosciutto, soppressata, etc, with a really good pepper relish. Salads--great too. I personally like the roasted veggie one with chicken added. Drinks--all of the coffee drinks and iced teas are awesome! She also has lots of different options in caffeinated and non-caffeinated for anyone who wants those. In the mood for dessert? ANY of the cookies she creates are wonderful, with lots of different options, including gluten free. Our visits ALWAYS end up starting with dessert first! Honestly--everything we've ever tried, we liked. Going here has also helped our family open up and try "new things", and she even got my meat-eating daughters to love impossible sausage. Don't hesitate--Go in and give it a try! I promise you won't be disappointed!

Being a former afternoon grinder myself partaking in limited late night dining options of Hot Dogs & Beer. From my perspective as a former afternoon grinder this bar-Cafe is awesome, offering superb Chili Cheese Fries or succulent burgers complimenting a late night dinner amongst other app and entree varieties. Hustle & bustle begins upon weekends arrival with league or casual bowlers placing to-go orders for pickup & proceed leisurely enjoying from their lanes while rolling a 10 frame. Select players arrive after mingling amongst locals & regulars partaking in activities or entertainment offered during particular weekends from live music pool or other bar fare entertainment. Beer & Liquor selections are simplistically satisfying, offering popular brand selections alongside lesser recognized brands commonly found scattered amongst hideaways & small independent bars throughout with availability both on tap or well. While enjoying my Yuengling & Chili Cheese Fries a patron piqued my interest when he bought a 6 pack from here as I had no idea getting a 6 pack to go from select local bars is common here. Amidst pale illumination & faint smoke regulars are noticeable by their banter rail side the felt (pool table) or residing at their favorite table or stool having conversations with bartenders & servers on shift that day. Keeping that in mind, enhancing my personal social experience here was no problem listening to interesting bar gossip, interesting life stories & culture at this bar-cafe. Weekends are best mingling with regulars or people watching enjoying a lively atmosphere filled with song & dance. Overall experience was enjoyable & will return again after bowling 10 frame across the street. Neither place accepts Credit/Debit despite having cashless anxiety. Carol's makes available an ATM alleviating non cash customers longing for a fun night bowling or hanging at Carol's. On a closing sidenote. Jell-O shots are an enjoyable highlight here offering flavors featuring Van Razz Pineapple Peach & Island Lemon. Expect my future return eager to enjoy other beers apps & entree selections. The coffee has so many delicious flavors with homemade syrups and seasonal options. We got a Vanilla Oatmilk Latte and Juniper Latte. The biggest plus for here is the DELICIOUS food options... with in-house pastry chefs... they have an advantage! We went with the Breakfast Sandwich on Buttermilk Biscuit with Bacon and Cinnamon Roll. But everything looooked so good. They even have a basket full of "yesterday's pastries" for 50% off. The seating is limited but it turns over quickly. You wait for your drink order at the end of the counter, but food will be brought out fresh from the kitchen to your table via number. They have water available for the tables and kindly ask that you clean your own table with a tub for all dishes. The staff still does come through the dining area to make sure that everything is nice and tidy. The vibe is very cute and feels like home. We will be back.
