Popped into Convice on a bustling street to try a chi tea. My daughter gifted me a gift card and I wanted something cold. The tea had a ginger kick to it and was delish! They offer many goodies too if you like treats. Service great and easy to get to if walking. read more

Super cute coffee shop! I would come back here to get some work done or catch up with a friend. They have a wide assortment of different pastries and the coffee I got was just a general cold brew but delicious!! read more

I was greatly disappointed by this dark chocolate thin mint mocha which is a part of their holiday menu. The syrup kind of just pooled at the bottom, and it was kind of thick too. Tasted like an average non flavored latte with some thick syrup bits. Overall, not a good pick. The cafe was small, with two couch chairs and maybe like 3-4 wooden tables. Paid street parking along the road. It's right next to steelhouse so I see the convenience of doing a spin class and then going next door to get a cup of coffee. Free WiFi too read more

Omg the lattes at Convive are unreal! I went on a Saturday afternoon and the barista was soooo sweet. She was telling me about the draft peanut butter latte and because I was on the fence about it, she let me try it. So nice. The latte was SO good. Peanut butter powder, almond milk, and coconut cream. Just a really unique combination and very decadent. The white chocolate and strawberry latte was also so good. Really creamy, delicious, and the strawberry flavor didn't taste artificial. read more

I was very pleasantly surprised with Convive after seeing they only had 3.5 stars. We stopped in two mornings in a row and the baristas were friendly and patient. The shop itself is super cute with drink options on a chalkboard behind the counter and another chalkboard with the current coffee offering listed out with origin and tasting notes. They roast their own coffee and as a coffee snob, I was very happy with my lattes-iced one day, hot the next. My husband tried different coffees each day and both were as described on the board. They do have syrups if you're into that kind of thing. You could grab a pastry and enjoy your drink at the various seating options in the space. read more

Holy CR@P! This place is overpriced! I was charged $3.69 for a small black coffee and I had to pour it myself. And then they expected a tip!

Really delicious option, and super friendly people. Loved the space, and how easy it is to get through. Will be my new Lawrenceville Coffee go-to. read more

Convive Coffee Roastery - I mean, c'mon. This is amazing. - Coffee Roasteries Near Me - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

I ordered a cappuccino and a latte. Both were served in a 12-oz cup, same volume of liquid, same foam coverage. The latte art was beautiful and the latte itself was great, however the "cappuccino" was not a cappuccino... it was a latte. lol. Please educate your baristas on the difference and buy some 6-8 oz cups. Ambience was great and the barista was very friendly. I didn't order any pastries but they looked tasty. read more

Sorry to say, I didn't enjoy the latte I ordered here. Hot almond latte. Cute interior, lots of space for seating, the barista was friendly. The latte just tasted kinda burnt and wasn't very enjoyable to drink. Bummer. read more

I stopped by this past Sunday with my wife for our morning coffee. Every Sunday we try to hit up a new local coffee place and on this day we choose the convive in Lawrenceville. I have actually driven by this location many times over and never noticed it but it's right on Butler Street. The inside is interesting as it has concrete floors, a couple of comfy seats as well as some tables. There is a small upper level which has sacks of coffee beans and other coffee equipment. Lastly the have a small display case where you order that had some baked goods in it as well as what looked like some breakfast burritos. For my coffee on this morning I decided to go with one of their fall specials, a smoke salted maple latte while my wife went with the oat apple cinnamon cold foam over coffee. On my first sip I could tell that the coffee had been freshly roasted and I also got a bit of smokiness as well as dryness from the salt. Then my wife sort of made a face as she tried hers and offered it to me. I definitely got the apple flavor on the backend of it, but I wasn't a fan. After that I tried my latte again and while I couldn't taste the maple itself, I did get a hit of sweetness from the drink showing that it was clearly there. It ended up being not what I had expected but was still an enjoyable drink for me. One other thing to note that didn't affect the flavor but that I was surprised at were the to go lids. They were the type you would get at the gas station with the flip up lid instead of the slightly domed ones with open holes that you normally get at coffee shops. This meant that once I was done and pulled the lid off, some foam and most of the smoked salt were stuck to the lid depriving me off the flavor. The bottom line for me is that I might stop by here again in the future. While my coffee ended up being pretty good, neither my wife nor I really enjoyed hers. read more

On a scale of romances to documentaries, Convive Coffee Roastery is The House of Broken Angels by Luis Alberto Urrea. Convive offers a cool, minimalist getaway from the bustling sidewalks of Lawrenceville. While parking is overwhelming, this coffee shop is worth the stop. Nitro Cold Brew was a caffeination high. Several locations, decent cup of coffee! Not too busy on the weekends which is good for butler street

Convive exceeded every expectation I have for a coffee shop on my first visit. Not only was it a clean and cute space with masked baristas, but prices were reasonable and the coffee was delicious. The coffee was juicy and flavorful, and my almond milk latte was totally satisfying. I can't wait til the next time I'm in Lawrenceville and seeking a coffee break. read more

Cute coffee shop in Lawrenceville off butler & 40th street bridge. The staff is really nice and knowledgeable about coffee. I'm not much of a coffee person but I walk by this cute coffee shop on my way to work every day and the smell of freshly roasted beans was too hard to resist! There are *many* coffee shops to choose from on Butler St so they each have to be a little special and different from the other ones five feet away to last. Convive is the place for those who want to sit down in the hipster ambiance and chat for a while but not so much so for people who are just looking to get their coffee hit for the day. I went on a Sunday morning and expected to wait long based on previous reviews but was happily surprised ordering and getting my order took less than 10 minutes. The employees were very efficient and pleasant despite the place being semi-packed. My hot chocolate was average, a tad on the bitter side and lacking the richness I usually like. I would like to come back and try some of their other fall drinks because the ambiance is very cute. read more

Decent coffee shop tucked away on Butler Street in Lawrenceville. The interior is fairly inviting and you can easily tuck away here for a spell and write the next great American novel - just make sure to keep buying coffee. Coffee is well balanced and constructed - a great solid roast lingering to the bold side. Service is quick and efficient. Had ice coffee's - smooth and flavorful. Come and enjoy - stay for the spectacle which unfolds out the front doors. read more

I went here as a first timer and got a hot chocolate and a chai tea latte. The chai latte was excellent! You could actually taste some serious spice which is how they're supposed to be. The hot chocolate was alright. It certainly wasn't Swiss miss powder, but it wasn't top notch either. Great spot, great AC for the summer, welcoming service and great seating! read more

Cute little coffee shop! Really has bodega coffee vibes, but they do espresso drinks as well. When I try out a new coffee shop, I always get the drip coffee to see how regular beans are treated. If I get burnt tasting drip coffee, I have one fewer reason to return, even for a latte. Convive passed my personal test- their drip coffee was solid! I added milk when I got home to cool it down because it was still piping hot after a 15 minute drive. Got their blueberry muffin too, and it was a good standard muffin. They don't pretend to be artisanal and I'm glad for it! Gonna return post-covid for a coffee and bagel, hopefully inside the shop! read more

Great new neighbors in Lawrenceville. Staff is super nice, and the coffee is great. Warm, welcome and well-designed space with a good amount of seating if you're working or catching up with friends. Small selection of pastries, and a couple of options for espresso and basic coffee, as well as the usual suspects for a coffee shop - lattes, americanos, etc. Looking forward to seeing how everything goes as they settle in. read more

This was probably the best cup of coffee (though definitely not the cheapest) that I've had in Pittsburgh for quite some time. Definitely very much a hipster vibe but there's a decent amount of seating and some outlets, so it should be a good place for studying etc. read more

After driving by this shop many times and thinking "I gotta try this place out", I finally did this past weekend. I went with a soy milk cappuccino and my fiancé went with the regular cappuccino- we both loved them. The espresso tasted very high quality and it was frothy and perfect. Customer service was fantastic as well. Ordering was a breeze- they have a little window in the front, so everything is COVID-19 compliant. I do look forward to visiting inside the shop one day, and am interested in purchasing some beans to-go the next time I visit! read more

It's a cute shop but my coffee isn't real hot, they never have whipped cream (always out) takes a long long time even when it's not busy, also they don't put a lid or sleeve on it. It's more than Starbucks and less coffee. It's ok. read more

Walked to one of our new favorite coffee shops today to get out of the house and to support open local businesses, to find a barista that complained that people were out to buy coffee during this 'trying time'. He also complained that he had to clean the counter, door handles and the card reader (even though you don't have to touch it) after each customer. This guy should be happy that their employer is open so he has a job! He was an ass$0|€. I wanted to say something to him but I was afraid he would mess up my order since I am buying a coffee when he thinks people should be staying inside. What a D bag! read more

Service is so bad... like SO slow and on weekdays. They had one employee working and it legit took 30 mins to get a coffee. It was all because of the mobile orders. They need to stop taking mobile orders until they can service customers there in person / hire more staff. read more

Waited outside for five minutes first in-line before the person would talk to me. They looked busy w online orders. Counter to order covered in coffee waiting to be picked up. She said she needed a few more minutes... so I started friendly chat w family in line behind me. Another five minutes pa.. I scootch to window ...to see what's going on. 10 minutes at this point as first in line to order. Seemed strange. Finally she turns around and sees me and asks if I'm ready YET. W an attitude. I asked her if she could see the line that's formed behind me waiting to order? "We are all ready to order." I shared. She shrugged and rolled her eyes. The weirdest part for me was how patience and sweet the line was being before the person at counter had an attitude. They are using a mic w a very restricted window space.. seems like time to come up w more tools to bridge communication w cold line outside. A light? Says "ready to take your order" ALSo I tried calling ahead but number was not working. Seems like they cater to online orders... and then let those orders get cold and covered in the elements by the time you get there. Sad. read more

This is definitely my favorite coffee shop in the area. Something about their espresso just hits different. The take out window is super convenient, especially when using the joe app. There is usually a parking space or two open on their block so it's very easy to jump out and grab your drink from the window when the app says it's ready. I also love their vegan breakfast sandwich. I'm not vegan but I'm allergic to eggs. Instead of an egg it's got a flavorful chickpea patty with an interesting consistency that is kind of egg-like. read more

I have always loved convive regardless of their location. This particular one is great to come sit down, enjoy a latte, add a muffin, and read a book. They make great drip coffee, espresso, and pretty good muffins and cookies. They are my favorite coffee shop in Lawrenceville for sure. Right now they are takeout only but their window option works really well. I have ordered using the Joe coffee app easily and will see what happens when they release their own app. read more

I've been to the North Hills and Lawrenceville locations and they are both wonderful. The staff is friendly. The coffee is simply divine and the scones are the best in the city. A great addition to the Lawrenceville neighborhood. I checked out Convive last week after their official opening and am now putting it on my go to coffee shop list. There are a decent amount of tables for getting work done or catching up with a friend as well as a good sized community table in the back. The coffee shop is well lit, bright, and is very well decorated. I ordered an americano and yunan tea while I worked- both were excellent! I want to come back and try some of the baked goods, since they looked delicious. read more
