WOW, WOW, WOW! Great customer service! So patient, so kind, gave us options to try! Their drinks are absolutely fantastic! I love that their sugar free is a powder. It is absolutely out of this world! I do wish they had more sugar free options other than just vanilla! The restaurant was packed, but even then, it was well stocked, and VERY clean! Highly recommend trying it! They even have Hawaiian exclusives! I will definitely be returning! Compared to other coffee chains, their sugar free is the BEST tasting! I prefer it over Starbucks!
Service- 5 stars Ambiance- 3 stars Food and drinks- 5 stars I love the service at this location. I ordered a large, peppermint mocha, hot latte and it was delish! The female who took my order was so nice and let me know that they still had the peppermint syrup. Normally, this flavor is gone right after the holiday season but they still had it and I was elated! The only reason I give the ambiance 3 stars is because this location can get tricky to access with the parking lot being so congested. There is a Cheesecake Factory, CPK, and a bunch of other food spots in the same corner at Ka Makana Ali'i so def give yourself time to find parking.
Refreshing beverage in Kapolei, O'ahu, Hawai'i... The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (CBTL) at Ka Makana Ali'i was recommended to me by the Pearl City location! Why? Pearl City said that they're one of the last stores to receive merchandise and that Kapolei gets shipments first! Really??? I went to ask about the new Tokidoki collaboration... They didn't know anything about it. I showed them the posts and emails from the mainland... they said that Hawaii is behind by maybe two months? I was advised to check the CBTL Hawaii Instagram page. Wow. Okay... since I'm there and it's the weekly Thursday promotion in August, I will try a Caramel Mocha Ice Blended drink. It was delicious... especially because it was a hot summer (August) day! Service was very helpful and efficient! Thanks to the staff for answering my questions about the merchandise! You're all very kind and patient! Thank you also for the clean, air-conditioned, bright environment! You have a great place in the food court area... an end unit!
Personally my go to drink spot as a college student. Very affordable and expansive menu, always putting out new and exciting drinks. I personally really like their flavored teas and matchas. Great place to study or get a refreshing drink while you shop or post gym. Probably the only drink spot I actually get to use my reward cards too.

We recently tried the turkey and egg burrito (recommended by a Starbucks employee), and OMG--I'm so glad we did! It's now my top pick, perfectly paired with my Americano. Pro tip: add some salsa on the side--it's a total game changer. You might even want to grab more than one because they're that good!

When I arrived, the line looked a bit long, but it moved quickly. The girls behind the counter were working hard and still kept a positive attitude. Wow. I eyed the pastries but... they looked like they had just been defrosted, so I went with a drink instead. I ordered the Peach Jasmine Cold Brew Tea. I'm usually cautious with new drinks, but this one was refreshing. Peachy without being candy-sweet. The vibe was nice too. A mall corner where you can pause, sip, and not feel like you're in a food court. I even dropped some tips in the jar. Only critique: napkin shortage. At the self-serve station there were none. The barista handed me some when I asked though, so not a dealbreaker.

The staff greeted me warmly upon arrival, which set a positive tone for the visit. I ordered the Horchata Dry Iced Americano and was impressed with the execution. I watched the drink being prepared, and everything appeared carefully measured. The espresso was pulled nicely, resulting in a well-balanced beverage where neither the coffee nor the horchata flavors overwhelmed the other. I also tried the Salami Pesto Sandwich and opted to have it heated. While the sandwich had good flavor, I found the herb profile to be a bit overpowering, making it difficult for the savory flavor of the salami to come through. That said, I understand these sandwiches aren't made in-house, so this is more feedback on the product itself rather than the café. The staff prepared it well, and the quality and service during my visit were excellent. Overall, a solid visit with excellent beverage preparation and friendly service.
This review is not about the quality or taste, but of their rewards program, or lack thereof. Extremely frustrating experience at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in Kamakana Ali'i Mall. It's ridiculous that this location refuses to honor the rewards and programs offered on the mainland. If you're not going to abide by the same programs as the rest of the U.S., then why even brand yourself under the same name? From my perspective, this is a complete failure to honor the standards of the franchise you're operating under. I drove out of my way just to grab a coffee here, expecting the same consistency I've experienced elsewhere, only to be disappointed. You can make all the excuses you want, but it comes across as laziness or a lack of commitment to the brand. Hawaii deserves better than this. Come on, Sullivan Family - if you're going to partner with a big name like Coffee Bean, do it right.
I like coming here for drinks. My favorite is the plantation iced tea. One visit they didn't have it so I got the mango iced tea. This was delicious. Too much ice in my drink though. Kind of a rip off. The inside had tables to sit on to enjoy your drink. I usually come here with my food friend. Inside seemed pretty descent and clean. I definitely enjoy their drinks. You get a free stamp card if you ask or the girl gave me one which was nice. Friendly service here..
Usually order the frappes and coffee but decided to try something refreshing. I tried the new hibiscus tea because it looked pretty lol. It was tarty not too sweet just okay. I guess I should stick to the frappes or try there other teas. Like any other coffee place it was nice and clean!! The young man who helped us was attentive and nice.

I was out and about with my bff Andrea at Ka Makana Ali'i, and we stopped by to enjoy our free Auntie Anne's pretzels for T-Mobile Tuesdays. I remembered fondly that The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf had given me a free cup of water during my last two visits. This time, they charged me 50 cents, which was completely fine. I'm still grateful for the other times they gave me grace. Andrea ordered the lychee iced tea, and it had such a nice kick! The tea was perfectly brewed, and the lychee left a very distinct and refreshing aftertaste. The barista originally recommended the plantation iced tea, which is one of the many local drinks they carry, but she mentioned that the lychee was her personal favorite. Of course, Andrea had to give it a try, and it did not disappoint! Another win was the ice. It was the perfectly chewable nugget ice! If you know, you know. Sometimes the ice makes the whole drink even better. Great service, great barista and you can tell she gave even better service and that the customers love her because her tip jar was full, which makes me very happy. Shout out to Charisse. read more

I wanted to like this, but they don't offer whole milk as an option so having coffee with skim milk really didn't taste that great. I understand the concept because milk is expensive, but I wasn't expecting it to be just okay. The coffee was average tasting, nothing special. It was a decent price given the size, but the flavors didn't stand up to my liking. Outside of the just alright coffee, the staff was very friendly and the service was quick. They didn't waste time making it. It was nice and clean inside too for being in a popular mall. I won't return just because the coffee doesn't do it for me, but if you like non-traditional dairy, you'll enjoy it. read more

I love their daily specials! Today? Large Vietnamese cold brew! Extra crushed ice for me. From teas to assorted coffees not to mention food! Yes, due to Covid take out only but it's a drink right? Shopping at Foodland Kapolei is always an adventure......my main focus was getting a Birthday Cake for my Gran Girl....so here I go...bakery Dept here I come....so many cakes...so little time....I saw a refrigerated section with beautiful fresh Chantilly cakes....Yes!Yes! That's the one I'll get....fortunately there is a awesome young man who can personalize a greeting on the cake....thank you..it was pretty in Pink!!! I had to check out their Gourmet Section...wow so many German goodies....cookies...cakes..candies...and some yummy Stollen to....I'm glad my cousin who lived in Germany always said how she enjoyed these treats!! I if course had to buy a bunch... Oh oh!! January 27,2023 - Friday Braxton is definitely a great barista because I really don't drink coffee we went for one of my besties since she was heading to work so she needed her coffee intake. Just a group of people was inside sitting & it seemed like a business meeting as well. Since I was just checking the menu I noticed they served Lemonade, which I was thinking OMG I can get something to drink. Since I couldn't figure out what Lemonade drink I wanted, the barista actually offered us that he can make our drinks. Since I couldn't decided I wanted the strawberry & Li Hing Lemonade. Which was amazing & he even asked if I wanted seeds in it as well. Drinks came out quickly & I like this location since the icee is like small & easier to eat. Overall, my drank was tasty & I wouldn't go to any other location since I did try the one at Malama in Makakilo & it's NOT THE SAME. Check them out if you get Braxton let him whip up your drank! This is our go to location because it's located the closest to our house. The store is always clean when you walk in and you always get greeted with a smile and a hello once you walk into the door. Today we ordered a extra large sweet tea, extra large mango lemonade and a small cookies and cream (no coffee). Our drinks came out in a timely manner. Because we walked to the mall, we were able to order our drinks and have a seat for a few minutes before walking back home. Lots of chairs inside the store. They also have a variety of merchandise that they sell. From flasks to cute little cups. Next to the merchandise they also have a variety of desserts. I love their macaroons and their rice crispy treat. read more
I always prefer CBTL over the other guys! I just wish there were more locations to compete, otherwise I wouldn't even be visiting THEM. So, literally on the west side that I know of, there's Makakilo, Kapolei Foodland, Ka Makana, and Ewa Foodland locations. Pearl City drive through would be the next closest to me (Mililani)... Where's the Central Oahu love? Pupukea is not close enough! Please get in the Mililani Foodland! Anyways, this location is really nice. Spacious, lots of comfy looking seating, noise level to a minimum. Also, located in the food court area so bathrooms are nearby. I always love seeing what's the MOJO Monday deal, and everything I've gotten so far has been great. I'll always support CBTL but please hear my plea, Mililani needs you... I need you! read more
