Refreshing beverage in Kapolei, O'ahu, Hawai'i... The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (CBTL) at Ka Makana Ali'i was recommended to me by the Pearl City location! Why? Pearl City said that they're one of the last stores to receive merchandise and that Kapolei gets shipments first! Really??? I went to ask about the new Tokidoki collaboration... They didn't know anything about it. I showed them the posts and emails from the mainland... they said that Hawaii is behind by maybe two months? I was advised to check the CBTL Hawaii Instagram page. Wow. Okay... since I'm there and it's the weekly Thursday promotion in August, I will try a Caramel Mocha Ice Blended drink. It was delicious... especially because it was a hot summer (August) day! Service was very helpful and efficient! Thanks to the staff for answering my questions about the merchandise! You're all very kind and patient! Thank you also for the clean, air-conditioned, bright environment! You have a great place in the food court area... an end unit!

So good if you want it crunch ask for it be toasted longer.

Still our number one go-to every morning! Huge thanks to Taylor, Tehani, and the entire morning crew for always providing amazing service. We recently tried the turkey and egg burrito (recommended by a Starbucks employee), and OMG--I'm so glad we did! It's now my top pick, perfectly paired with my Americano. Pro tip: add some salsa on the side--it's a total game changer. You might even want to grab more than one because they're that good!

    Mochi gummies. Interesting. But expensive.

I didn't expect much from this Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. But I was surprised. The place was neat, and it had that really good coffeehouse smell, that reminded me of European Starbucks. When I arrived, the line looked a bit long, but it moved quickly. The girls behind the counter were working hard and still kept a positive attitude. Wow. I eyed the pastries but... they looked like they had just been defrosted, so I went with a drink instead. I ordered the Peach Jasmine Cold Brew Tea. I'm usually cautious with new drinks, but this one was refreshing. Peachy without being candy-sweet. The vibe was nice too. A mall corner where you can pause, sip, and not feel like you're in a food court. I even dropped some tips in the jar. Only critique: napkin shortage. At the self-serve station there were none. The barista handed me some when I asked though, so not a dealbreaker.

    A strawberry mocha. Giggle Giggle

When I tasted that strawberry mocha, "Oh my God ! It was like a hug from Jesus. "Let me tell you that it tasted incredible . Excellent customer service from Jaron and Logen. "Really was the best experience an a perfect day" "Thank you"

This review is not about the quality or taste, but of their rewards program, or lack thereof. Extremely frustrating experience at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in Kamakana Ali'i Mall. It's ridiculous that this location refuses to honor the rewards and programs offered on the mainland. If you're not going to abide by the same programs as the rest of the U.S., then why even brand yourself under the same name? From my perspective, this is a complete failure to honor the standards of the franchise you're operating under. I drove out of my way just to grab a coffee here, expecting the same consistency I've experienced elsewhere, only to be disappointed. You can make all the excuses you want, but it comes across as laziness or a lack of commitment to the brand. Hawaii deserves better than this. Come on, Sullivan Family - if you're going to partner with a big name like Coffee Bean, do it right.

I like coming here for drinks. My favorite is the plantation iced tea. One visit they didn't have it so I got the mango iced tea. This was delicious. Too much ice in my drink though. Kind of a rip off. The inside had tables to sit on to enjoy your drink. I usually come here with my food friend. Inside seemed pretty descent and clean. I definitely enjoy their drinks. You get a free stamp card if you ask or the girl gave me one which was nice. Friendly service here..

Usually order the frappes and coffee but decided to try something refreshing. I tried the new hibiscus tea because it looked pretty lol. It was tarty not too sweet just okay. I guess I should stick to the frappes or try there other teas. Like any other coffee place it was nice and clean!! The young man who helped us was attentive and nice.

I wanted to like this, but they don't offer whole milk as an option so having coffee with skim milk really didn't taste that great. I understand the concept because milk is expensive, but I wasn't expecting it to be just okay. The coffee was average tasting, nothing special. It was a decent price given the size, but the flavors didn't stand up to my liking. Outside of the just alright coffee, the staff was very friendly and the service was quick. They didn't waste time making it. It was nice and clean inside too for being in a popular mall. I won't return just because the coffee doesn't do it for me, but if you like non-traditional dairy, you'll enjoy it.

Yum! Chocolate Coconut ice blended. I usually have the Cookie Butter. I asked the barista for her opinion. As soon as she said "it tastes like an Almond Joy," I was sold!!! Plus today is $3 Thursday, perfect time to try something new. Great recommendation- it's onolicious!!!

    Matcha blended with Thai walls
    Shana Q.

My favorite place to get my matcha fix. I ask for a matcha ice blended with Thai walls also known as condense milk so good!! They have stamp cards so make sure you get it so you can get a free drink when your card is filled.

    Salmon bagel, Vietnamese cold brew
    Clarissa L.

Not the friendliest staff .. and quite busy as almost all tables were taken at 1030am .. but there's plenty of outside seating in Ka Makana Ali'i Got a salmon bagel and Vietnamese cold brew. The cream cheese to salmon ratio is off but having the option to toast just the bagel is a win

As stood in line and looked at the menu board, still unsure of what to order. I walked up to the counter and asked a few questions. The employee was very helpful and helped me to decide, she also made me aware of what I was getting. For myself I got the Affogato (A scoop of ice cream & shot of green tea). For my husband I gotten him the iced matcha $7 and added their house-made syrup earl grey for a $1. Their matcha tasted rich, earthy, smooth, creamy & vibrant green color. Which seems to be of good quality. I don't normally drink matcha green tea, it was definitely delicious treat and will order it again.

First, this spot is located on the corner of Ho'omohala and Nana Hope street near the Ho'opili community. Btw, this area blew up! Such a family friendly and cute neighborhood! Second, there is no designated parking for this coffee shop so you will have to find somewhere on the street to park. Beware, there are nparking signs across the street that indicate "No parking " so be sure to pay attention to signs. They tow! Third, the service was slow because there are only two baristas who worked as efficiently as they could so I wouldn't come here if you're in a rush to go somewhere. I ordered a large, French toast hot latte and their breakfast burrito that came with a small container of salsa. Everything was delish and believe that nothing went to waste after the calories I burned at the gym. Hehe. The French Toast latte brought back memories and felt like I was holding the season of Fall in a cup of:) Definitely recommend that you check it out if you're a coffee fan. Other seasonal beverages include the Audrey Hepburn, Royal Hawaiian Mocha and Thai latte. Spot the new stuffie?

So I was a tad annoyed. But then I actually looked at the sign and it said 11am. They opened the doors right on time at 11 and took the first two customers in. I waited not even 5 more min before they let me in. Initially they were still making drinks for Jolene's staff which I think is awesome to bless their staff with a drink but it really delayed the drinks for the rest of us. They were very nice tho and kept apologizing. Wasn't a huge problem bc at the beginning of events like this you need to hit your groove. I was out of there by 11:22. The girls in front of me ordered a total of 4 drinks, and I ordered 3 drinks.... So I guess over all with all the staff drinks they had to make, and the fact that it was only one drink maker... they were still pretty quick. The line was wrapping around Jolene's so I think they will do well. I ordered the Vanilla Salted Caramel, the Strawberry Matcha Spritzer, and the Hojicha. They were only offering oat milk today, I think to manage the line, but if you go to their IG they normally offer other milks. I will need to try them again when I can choose bc I do not really like oat milk. But I do like how you can customize your sweetness level. All our drinks were good. My daughter pilfered the spritzer. Of the three the salted vanilla was the best. Their straws were cute pink heart straws that didn't photograph well in its wrapping. But my daughter says she's gonna use one on Wednesday bc it's pink lol. And we got a cute sticker too!
