In a word, horrible. We went last night expecting to get some of their famous pizza. The waitress advised against it because it would take an hour. So we ordered a couple of sandwiches and burgers. Love their pizza! I look forward to coming here every time I'm in the area. Was just there this weekend and had another great experience. Sports bar atmosphere, but they have a restaurant attached as well. Great place for pizza and a drink. They have other menu items that look good, but I've always stuck with their pizza. Their pizza is delicious. Thin. Crispy. Probably my fave pizza in the area. Unfortunately, service is terrible. I called tonight to order curbside (which I guess they don't do, yet they list that they do online). The guy I spoke to was so rude I almost just hung up. I bit my tongue and got through the call. He said my order would be ready in 30 min and go to the family dining area. Holy moly. I don't know how the workers do it and haven't complained to L & I about the noise level. It was so loud. I had to scream at the top of my lungs my name and what my order was. Next time, If I have a craving for their delicious pizza, I will wear my Bose and just write down my info on a piece of paper. My husband and I just had this pizza tonight for the first time. The flavor of the pizza was pretty good, but it was a bit too greasy for my taste. Now, I'm not one who minds a little grease on pizza, especially if the pizza is good, but this pizza was just too greasy, so much so that the bottom was soggy. I do love thin crust pizza, which this pizza was, but the crust should be firm and crispy, which this pizza was not. Likewise, the pieces of sausage on our pizza were really big, which I did not personally care for. Delicious pizza. As stated by others crust is not your ordinary but still tasty. They fill growlers and also sell them..... Older looking small town-ish style interior but no smell, clean, and friendly service. Toppings are excellent. I was there in the afternoon and it wasn't too busy, but I can imagine that it would be at night. Going to The Cloverleaf is an adventure for me. My hubs is from Tacoma, he introduced me to The Cloverleaf years ago. Whenever we make the drive to Tacoma I always ask if we can go to The Cloverleaf. I LOVE this place. It's not your average pizza place. Yes when you walk inside the bar is shaped like a cloverleaf (don't believe me? go have a couple of beer and look at it real good), the pizzas do not disappoint. They take a little longer to cook their pizza because it's the crust. I love a good crispy crust and theirs takes the cake. The wait time is about 40 mins per pie, but...it's worth it. The pizza here is just awesome. Yes, it's different...it's like a mix between thin crust and deep dish. It's very crispy and "crunchy" and for me, I like that, a lot! But it's not for everyone and I can understand that... I love this pizza, it's really unique, the bartenders are awesome, and it has really cold beer which is a huge plus to me watching a game or on a hot day! read more

Their Special Pizza is the Best this side of Chicago. The pizza dough is what I would expect in a great pizza and it's cook perfectly. The beer is great and there are a lot of choices. My negative rating is based completely on the poor service I received on the phone today. My dad and his wife live near this restaurant and have said several times that this is the best pizza around. I wanted to get a gift card for them but couldn't see on the website if they were offered. I emailed to ask and got a very prompt reply that they do offer gift cards and to call anytime between 10:00 and 12:00 Monday through Friday to purchase. I called a couple of times around 10:00 but no one answered the phone. I called again today a little before 12:00. A young man answered the phone and when I said I wanted to purchase a gift card, he said he couldn't help me, that they were really busy because it was lunch time. I explained that I had been told to call between 10:00 and 12:00 and my previous calls at 10:00 had gone unanswered. He said he works there 5 days a week, starting at 10:00, and has never seen the phone go unanswered. (Is he calling me a liar??) I repeated my request to purchase a gift card and he again said he couldn't help me because it was too busy at lunch time. He said "I'm going to have to cut this short because we are really busy" and got off the phone. Really?? If I had called to order a pizza, would he have told me they were too busy and to call back later? If I had walked in to purchase a gift card, would he have told me they were too busy and to come back later? I work in the service industry myself and know what it is to be really busy too, but a customer is a customer is a customer. Especially these days. At this point, I am really ambivalent about what to do. On the one hand, I was so happy to have this great idea for a gift for them, something they would really enjoy. I compare all pizzas to Cloverleaf and have found not a one that even comes close. I've ea tin this pizza for over 20 years and it's still the same. I use to live within 10 minutes of them. I now live about an hour away. If I'm within 30 minutes I'll call them and place an order. This number is programed into my cell. 565-1111. This pizza is the only pizza that I will eat the crust. Was recommended to try this pizza and really liked it! The restaurant is painted like the mariners stadium and has a really cool atmosphere! The staff is friendly and even though we are new to the area, we felt very welcome (which we have noticed isn't everywhere here!). They serve popcorn while you wait, and it's delicious! The pizza is good. Different than any other I've had with the thin crust. It could have been cooked a touch longer but still totally good. The only other thing I ordered was a dinner salad. It was as good as an ice burg salad could be. The pizza is definitely worth a trip no matter what. We were a very apprehensive since we have been patrons for a long time and stopped going because of the wait times and staff. I've been eating "The Leaf" pizza since 1961. I live on the East Coast (or right coast) now in Philly, so I get my share of thin crust NY style as well as the best tomato pie you can find anywhere. That being said, I always compare everything to the pizza I literally grew up on. It's an institution and I always visit whenever I'm back in T-Town, my town, Grit City. it's a life long addiction, even though they've remodeled to the point where I can hardly recognize the place every time I go back. The pie's still the same. So just go there, grab a table, a pitcher of Rainier, and prepare yourself for one of the best pizza experiences you'll ever have. I love pizza and will eat just about any kind. The cloverleaf`s pizza is the best of all the places i go to for pizza. Don`t expect this to be quick, cause your going to wait 30 to 60 minutes for your pizza depending on how busy they are. Its worth the wait in my opinion. I like to call and get take out. Only living a few minutes away it allows me to do stuff around the house while i wait. If i stop in with my dad for lunch, the wait is not an issue cause it gives us time to chat. This is not a pizza place, its a sports bar with great pizza. The atmosphere is what you could expect from a sports bar. The unique thing about this bar is it caters to all ages. Not uncommon to see a couple my grandparents age(approaching 90) in a booth in the corner, then look over to the bar and see a barely legal 21 year old. The staff is very friendly and does a good job of making sure your taken care of. They do get busy and sometimes they are not there immediately for refills. Waiting a couple minutes for some one to come around is not going to kill anyone. People expect to way to much these days and are overly critical. The prices here are very good. You will pay more at a large chain pizza place then you will here. My opinion you get more for your money than you would from a large chain pizza place. One more positive is they have a area in the back for large parties. Children are allowed in this are. Ok, this review is mainly for our Taco night - and while I do like the pizza that Cloverleaf serves, apparently their taco offerings do not match their pizza making abilities. The serving of salad makings on top of my taco contributed to the fact that I had CARROTS in my taco. Our waitress was pretty rude to begin with. After she took our order it took an hour for us to hear anything. We asked her an eta for our food and also asked why the couple next to us received their pizza before us. She told us it was because they called in their order. Asked the couple- and turns out that was not a true statement. So she lied, and was rude. Pizza is okay but it is really not worth being disrespected. Wow. Been here with colleagues over the last 4 years and just experienced something I never thought. I would...My table was told we were "over served" early in the evening after a pizza and one pitcher between 5 people. My one friend/colleague is a person of color. The server was fine, but the second my colleague left, the manager came out and refused to serve me and my other two colleagues further. We had been there with the same friend/colleague before and waited eons to be served even though we were sitting smack in front of the bar. I will not go back to the Cloverleaf. I dine at The Clover Leaf once every month or two... More often during football season. Most of my friends and I love the pizza, and there are other items on the menu too. My ex wife wasn't a fan... But that's no longer a problem :) The staff isn't like corporate over the top sweetie pie... But they are usually nice and attentive. I see the same people working there year after year, with an occasional newbie. So over all I highly recommend Clover Leaf. read more

I am officially a fan of The Cloverleaf and it's pizza. I cannot rate on the atmosphere of the bar during peak hours but we just picked up three pizzas for lunch and they were fantastic. The crust is unique... like a thin crust crunch but with some more volume. It was really good. The toppings are well cooked but I appreciated the crust of the bacon and the flavor profile was also great. I glanced over the beer selection and they have nice choices on tap. The bar was tidy and clean. I also cannot complain about the military discount. Thank you cloverleaf, we will be back! read more
