The Clinkscale - Two eggs and chicken fried steak and American potatoes, and sourdough bread. - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Jerome, Arizona

My husband & I really enjoyed our dinner here on Wednesday, 7/3. We started by sharing their Chop salad - uniquely presented with each ingredient in a row. Tip - save the ranch dressing to eat with your fries - or request it. Hubby had the shrimp gumbo & I had the filet served in its own skillet with butter - one if best fillets I've ever had. Drinks were lovely too. I enjoyed the AZ prickly pear mojito & hubby had their Manhattan. Even though we were full after dinner, we decided to order their dessert beignets served with a chocolate, vanilla, & raspberry sauces. I thought they were just ok. To me, they were more like Wisconsin cream puffs without the cream than real beignets at Cafe du Monde's in New Orleans. Totally recommend this restaurant tho! One of our favorite meals since moving to AZ 4 years ago! Plus staff was friendly & attentive too. read more

Food was excellent, fast and reasonably priced. Bartender was so nice and we really enjoyed our time.

The best meal we ate while in the Sedona area. The steak was the best steak I have had in my life. Everything was perfect. The drinks, the food, the service. I cannot recommend more to take the drive to Jerome, get away from Sedona and come have a meal here-you won't regret it. read more

One of the best restaurants I've ever been to. The Clinkscale's food is comparable to any Manhattan 5-star restaurant. The people are incredibly friendly which makes for an awesome atmosphere. Highly highly recommend! read more

We stopped by Jerome on the way home from Sedona, just curious as to what Jerome was all about. In Sedona we had eaten at a very well known and recommended restaurant and it was fine. Not great, but fine. We came upon Clinkscale around lunchtime and decided to have lunch, not having any idea of how wonderfully delightful the experience was going to be. As busy as the restaurant was (and it was packed), our waiter Jeff couldn't have been more kind and accommodating. He made us feel welcomed and never rushed. On top of the wonderful service, the food was absolutely amazing- in presentation and taste. We've never had better fish tacos and the salad was not only delicious, but a work of art. I wished we lived closer because this restaurant would become one we'd go to over and over again. If you are in Jerome, Clinkscale is a place you don't want to miss eating at. read more

Come hungry. Portion sizes are large without being over bearing. The food was well thought-out and very delicious. Food rivals that in the French quarter. Didn't get a picture but the coconut margarita has got to be the best margarita I've ever had. 10/10 would eat here everyday. read more

Just like every other review here. WOW atmoshpere, service, drinks.... THE FOOD!! Had the club (star of the show), steak and blue cheese bruschetta, and a side of the poblano tomato soup. This will be our "go to" in Jerome!!! Editing to add on... portions were large so you don't need to order extra sides! read more

Some of the best food I have ever ate. The cauliflower burger was out of this world! Tomato soup was so good I wanted to lick my bowl clean.

This swanky place is a must when you visit Jerome! The service was attentive and speedy and the food was so delicious. My friends and myself went there for brunch and really enjoyed each of our dishes. I ordered the Original Egg Sandwich with potatoes on the side and it was very good. My friend ordered the grits as a side and they were the BEST I HAD EVER TASTED! The table shared the Truffle Fries which are going to be a non-negotiable when I visit again! read more

Food is always excellent. Clinkscale should be at the top of your list for a meal in Jerome.

I had so many friends, spontaneously say,"go to the Clinksale!". Penny mimosas, Monday-Friday. That's right, one penny. Coffee is really good too. I had a burrito bowl. Bacon and sausage, eggs, potatoes, avocado, so much cheese, some kind of crazy sauce. It was incredible! Hubs had chicken fried steak, eggs and potatoes. The potatoes ate crispy and seasoned perfectly. The steak and gravy were perfect! Do not leave here without having the begnets!! Hot and served with, chocolate, vanilla and strawberry dipping sauce. The service (hey Dawn!) was great! We will be back!! read more

What a find. My wife and i stumbled upon this place and how great it is. We split the Arugula and Beet salad and the Bacon Cheeseburger with fries. Everything was terrific. The burger juicy and tender the fries season to perfection. The salad had goat cheese and pine nuts heavenly. We're thinking about coming back for dinner. Well we came back for dinner. Sam the manager was still there, she remember us from lunch and greeted us with a big hello. We had the pork chops melonesse served over a bed of pasta, fantastic. I took a peach cobbler to go which was excellent. I couldn't recommend this restaurant more. read more

We had a great lunch at Clinkscale. We started with the Elote dip (yum) and then split Turkey French Dip sandwich. Both were delicious. Would definitely stop in there again. Service was good too. Nice vibe in the restaurant and it had a nice bar as well. read more

What a gem! Our friends took us up the mountain to enjoy a sumptuous meal at The Clinkscale. Husband and friend ordered filets prepared "Pittsburg style" and they were perfect. I had the shrimp and grits (wonderful Cajun spice) and my friend had the salmon. Finished off sharing the beignets (crispy pillows of goodness) and the peach bread pudding. Nicholas took excellent care of us! Next time we are in the area we will definitely dine at The Clinkscale again! read more

My birthday weekend extravaganza. Our family is absolutely fed up with all these over-hyped, over-reviewed places that trick people into thinking they're about to eat something special. We can't stand "BAB" places (basic ass bitch, for those who need a reminder). There's a whole crew of you out there--yes, YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE--who seem to lack taste buds, self-awareness, and self-respect, flooding BAB Yelp cafes with 5-star reviews just to feel validated as you hop back into your $1,000-a-month 4Runners. It's maddening! We now have to conduct thorough research on new spots and automatically knock off a few stars to balance out the BAB reviewers. Enter The Clinkscale. We had our doubts, given its potential BAB appeal, and went in with our guard up. From the moment we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised. The decor was unique, and the staff dressed professionally and appropriately. Love it. They took our number to text when our table was ready--yes, they use technology! We strolled down the street for a cup of coffee (another good find I'll review soon) and returned when we got the text. We snagged a cool table by the bar, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The menu was unique, featuring quality food with quality ingredients. We each ordered different breakfast items and waited patiently. The food arrived promptly and was freshly made--no heating lamps or cold plates here. Kudos to the kitchen staff for knowing their stuff. Daughter #2 had the stuffed ricotta cheese pancakes--AMAZING! Daughter #3 ordered the buffalo chicken fried steak, which she declared the best she'd ever had. I went for the burger, medium rare, and it was cooked to perfection with top-notch ingredients. The lady ordered the club with sweet potato fries--absolutely amazing. This place has shot to the top of our list. We almost want to keep it a secret, but it's too good not to share. Can't wait to bring Daughter #1 and her new husband to our new favorite spot. She's the ultimate breakfast baby, so stay tuned for an update when she weighs in. To be continued... read more

Retuned to have the same experience as the first time! Excellent food options! Started with a coconut margarita, rimmed with black salt; delicious! Then shared the steak and blue cheese bruschetta great flavor, big enough to be a small bite entree. Also shared a Caesar salad, one of my favorites ever; full of flavor without being heavily dressed. For entrees we enjoyed the Chicken Milanese and Filet; both were excellent! Couldn't leave without the beignets; served sugared and hot with 3 different sauces (chocolate, raspberry, and a cream)! The restaurant seats approximately 40 so strongly recommended reservations. We were thrilled a year later to have another excellent experience! We will be back!! read more

Excellent food, service and unique atmosphere. I had the roasted cauliflower sandwich with fries and it was delicious! My husband had the grilled cheese with tomato soup and loved it too! My party walked in with no reservations around 6pm and was able to be sat at the bar. The food was tasty and well presented and the ambience was cozy and lively. The real stand out however, was the bartender Jared. Even though he was very busy making drinks for the servers and his bar, he did not miss a beat when it came to service ! He made amazing drinks and anticipated all of our needs. In an age where hospitality is commonly lackluster, he was amazing in every way! read more

I was visiting from California and went here for dinner with an old coworker. The views and the food were exceptional. But the thing that made this place stand out was the service. There was a miscommunication about my friend's main dish. Not only did the waitress apologize, but she brought the manager over and they brought her some sides on the house to nibble on while they prepared her salmon. They also gave us a dessert to share on the house. They were extremely attentive and gracious, and I would wholeheartedly recommend this place. It was really the best customer service I've had anywhere in a long, long time. read more

This was our first overnight stay at Clinkscale as well as our first dining experience. The service was impeccable, with one exception. That being our server was obviously a newbie. He missed our need for service. Then, who pops out of nowhere was Christine, another server, who saw that we were obviously stressed about no attention from our server (at least 30 min). We just wanted dessert! Christine accommodated us immediately and was so pleasant and gracious that our stress disappeared. She is an amazing server, is on top of things, with great people skills and intuitiveness. Joe, the bartender, was very friendly, funny and accommodating. In closing, Michael, the manager, was absolutely great in a variety of ways. Accommodating, very personable, and demonstrated a clear concern of the customer's experience. Truly a top notch manager. A great crew! We can't wait to go back! read more

Yelp doesn't lie about THIS place! Everything about it was TOP NOTCH! We didn't make a reservation, and when we arrived, the only seating available was at the bar. SOOO, that's my favorite anyway.... My cocktail was the barmaid's suggestion and it was FABULOUS! The service was perfect and the food was BEYOND great. The restaurant isn't that big, but feels more cozy than crowded. This was my favorite restaurant of all the ones I went to in Arizona. Now, if they could just bring it down of'fa that mountain, this scared of heights Yelper would really appreciate it! read more

Always a winning choice for guests and visitors. We reserved a table for our group of five, and were seated promptly, electing to start with an appetizer of elote. We're repeat offenders so we knew what we'd like, but our guests leaned on the wait staff to cover some questions and recommendations. Long story short - elote, steak and blue cheese bruscetta appetizer, shrimp and grits, and pasta and sausage were all stellar; the Marsala chops in particular rated as "best pork I've ever had". Great kitchen, staff, and management on point every time we're visited. read more

The diamond in the copper mines of Jerome. If you have the opportunity to stay here, do it!! Exceptional service and a dining experience like you're at a five star restaurant without the pretentious feel. The bartender is an artist and Mike especially made us feel like the only guests there. Budget friendly.... NO!, but the food is amazing ! I am from Prescott Valley and go there every couple of years (because of distance and price). I have been there on 4-6 separate occasions and I have absolutely no complaints at all. My drinks were always kept filled, the cold food comes cold, the hot food comes hot and so freaking tasty! Give this place a try! You'll love it! We usually get an appetizer and share a meal. Great food and always great service! Love love love this place read more

After our lovely lunch experience here last fall we decided to bring family while they were visiting out of town. This time for dinner! We made reservations in advance, and didn't have to wait long for a table. The service was great, the drinks were good, but the food...the food was excellent. Everyone loved their meals and commented highly on how delicious they were. From appetizer to entree, we liked it all. The buffalo cauliflower bites were wonderful. The scallops were amazing. The fish tacos were crispy and loaded. The shrimp and grits were amazing. The orecchiette with shrimp were slightly overcooked, but very good. Even the Cobb salad had me coming back for more. My only criticism was dessert. We ordered the bread pudding to share. It was kind of dry. Felt like it needed some sort of soak (like a syrup of some kind) to moisten it. read more
