Our first time in Jerome and we happened upon this little gem. We ordered the turkey au jus and the tortellini salad. Would've tried one of their specialty cocktails, except the drive to get here and down is pretty treacherous. Also, I have been wanting to try some Arizona wine, but their offerings did not include that. Both entrees were served at an appropriate temperature and contained fresh ingredients. The taste was quite good and serving sizes adequate. The service was very good with the server checking on us several times and the manager also stopping by. The atmosphere was upbeat and pleasant, although a little loud due to the structure of the building. I would highly recommend dining at this spot, however probably not with small children. read more

Good people great drinks and delicious food ! We will be back to enjoy eating here again !

I went here in 2021 but never did yelp so I didn't review it, but genuinely need to make this review because this is probably the best avocado toast I've ever had and I buy the ingredients at home so I can remake it but it never tastes the same. It's been years and I still think about this toast but it's so great I highly recommend getting it if you ever visit Jerome. Trust I will be back to get this and try other things when I come back there to that area. I also just the atmosphere of this restaurant and had a great server but don't remember his name because it was a while ago nor even know if he still works there read more

Mary and Mike we're huge assets to this restaurant. My husband ordered the fillet it came with a side of potatoes. I'm not sure how they made those potatoes but they were incredible and the fillet was served in a little cast-iron and cooked perfect, medium rare. I ordered the pork chops with a mushroom Marcella sauce? Interesting thing that did happen is that we got charged 3.5% for using our credit card. They take credit card but because we didn't pay cash basically that we needed to pay for using the credit card. I think that is a bunch of bull crap. I WOULD RECOMMEND read more

We stopped at the Clinkscale in Jerome, AZ after the recommendation of Karen from The Tiny Gourmet in Cottonwood. Wow, it was amazing!!! John, our waiter, started us off with delicious margaritas - two Love Potion, and one Mango. It was fun to watch them be crafted in their outrageous bar and hand shaken by the mixologist. These were paired with fresh, house-made chips, salsa, and guacamole and truffle- parm French fries - all were amazing!!! Our entrees consisted of fresh tomato poblano soup, artisan bread grilled cheese and perhaps the best, Marsala Chops - two pork chops served over pasta and covered in a wine and mushroom sauce. And who would NOT try the beignets with their three different dipping sauces!? They were awesome!!! It could not have been better!!! Thank you John and the rest of the cook and bar staff!!! We will be back!!! read more

This place is super cute. It's on the main strip in Jerome and is quaint and small inside. There's a few tables along the window with a nice view, a bar in the middle with open seating and booths and tables around. The decor is modern with the old copper decor as well. We sat by the window and it was lovely. Our waitress was nice, the food did take quite awhile but they were busy! I had a the prickly pear mojito which was delicious. Super sweet and strong! The truffle fries were phenomenal. They had big chunks of Parmesan cheese with garlic and not overly greasy. Highly recommend. For lunch, I had the grilled cheese with the tomato mushroom soup. The grilled cheese was on a large homemade sourdough with crusted cheese on the outside. The only thing I didn't like was the ricotta. Would definitely ask for this without next time. The soup was AMAZING, it had chips in it and the mushroom taste made the flavor pop. It wasn't too strong but just gave a hint of flavor! My grandma had the chicken sandwich which I would get next time as it looks great! My grandpa got the cob salad and the aesthetic was beautiful. Also a nice and unique spread for the salad. Would definitely visit in Jerome again! read more

This most recent visit I wanted to go for dinner and I'm so glad we did! My Chicken Milanese was outstanding! Served with orichette pasta which I just love. For breakfast the next day I tried their Croque Madame which was excellent! Country ham and melted gruyere over fresh brioche, blanketed with a tasty mornay sauce and two sunny-side eggs. Fantastic dish! Service here is nothing short of remarkable. Even the hotel portion which we stayed at for 2 nights. This place gets rave reviews and deservedly so. Highly recommended if you ever visit this quirky little town. And any traveler of the American Southwest should have this town on your list of interesting places to visit. read more

Excellent, excellent, and more excellent. Best place we ate at in Jerome. Top-notch food, an interesting menu, excellent service, and quaint, warm vibes. I'd love to try the hotel because we were so impressed with the food. Everything we had was great. We ended up coming here for brunch and dinner because it was so good. Excellent steak. Really good avocado toast. Fresh and interesting salads. Just a win in every category. If you come to Jerome, eat at least one meal here. PS- I thought the "Haunted Hamburger" was super overrated. read more

The Clinkscale was recommended to us by a friend as a must-eat while visiting Jerome and it ended up being one of our favorite meals during our recent trip to Arizona! The building and interior is gorgeous, the service and hospitality was top-tier, and the food was DELICIOUS! My husband and I visited on a Friday around 1:00 pm and were seated right away without a reservation. FAST FACTS: * Reservations - Available online through OpenTable * Parking - Plenty of street parking available within a reasonable walking distance * A 3.5% surcharge is added to non-cash transactions SERVICE - Our server, John, was FANTASTIC! Honestly, he was one of the best servers I've ever had because he was extremely friendly and personable but not in a cheesy or annoying way. He made conversation with us, gave recommendations, and made sure we had everything we needed from start to finish. PRICING - The total was $57.19 after tax and a 3.5% non-cash adjustment but before tip for a coffee ($3), hot chicken & biscuits ($16.95), artisan grilled cheese & roasted tomato poblano soup ($15.95), side of chili-glazed bacon ($4), and beignets ($9.95). The pricing was very reasonable for the portion size and quality of the food! ARTISAN GRILLED CHEESE & ROASTED TOMATO POBLANO SOUP (10/10) - My absolute FAVORITE grilled cheese I've ever had! This was recommended to us by a friend and I'd pass along that recommendation to anyone eating here! The tomato soup is the perfect thickness and has a delicious flavor with the poblanos... but the true star is the sandwich. The bread is thick but still soft and the encrusted asiago on the outside gives it so much flavor. The combination of cheeses inside was PERFECTION! HOT CHICKEN & BISCUITS (7/10) - These were good but not the best chicken and biscuits I've ever had. The buffalo sauce paired really well with the sausage gravy but the breading on the chicken didn't have a ton of flavor and wasn't super crispy. The biscuits were fluffy and soft but again, not the best I've ever had. But, you do get a big serving for the price with two biscuits drenched in plenty of gravy and three decent size pieces of chicken. CHILI-GLAZED BACON (6/10) - We got a side order of the bacon because "chili-glazed" intrigued us but it just tasted like regular bacon. I wouldn't get it again... it was crispy but very thin and lacked flavor. BEIGNETS (9/10) - These are the perfect sweet ending to a lunch or dinner! You get 6 good size beignets and a trio of sauces... a raspberry compote, vanilla bean custard, and chocolate ganache. All three sauces are delicious! The beignets were light and airy... a little less dense than some others I've had. They aren't overly sweet on their own but the powdered sugar and sauces take care of that. Some of them were a little undercooked on the inside which I didn't mind but others might not like. While we enjoyed some items more than others, we will dream about this lunch at The Clinkscale because the grilled cheese and tomato soup were THAT incredible! Plus, the awesome service and reasonable prices were the icing on the cake for a phenomenal meal! read more

We had lunch @ Clinkscale on Sunday 3/15- our first visit, after reading reviews on YELP, very impressed!! We were a group of 5 adults & 2 kids-delicious foods/drinks: bloody Mary's, mimosas, club sandwich with greens, fish tacos, French toast - all yummy with beautiful presentation! Also a beautiful building with nice dining area. Our Server Savanna did a terrific job! Thank you all, we'll definitely be back next time in Jerome!! read more

Just visited yesterday. What a gem. Terrific renovation of a very old building. Right in the heart of Jerome, you will not be disappointed. Delicious drinks ( French 75!), atmosphere and food. I ate the avocado toast & their signature tomato poblano soup. Both great, although a drizzle of some kind of sauce would truly enhance the toast & give it a touch of moisture to bring it all together. Husband ate the turkey French dip & loved it. Great shops to visit to walk off your meal are just a few steps away. read more

Our Server David M. was amazing. Very efficient, warm and friendly service. I'm so glad he recommended the beignets for dessert. Visited Jerome for the day and decided to give this place a try. It has a cool modern industrial feel and the servers are all friendly and attentive. We got the steak and bleu cheese appetizer and it was very good. My wife got the chicken Caesar salad and said it was very good with the right amount of chicken. And I got the chicken Milanese which was very good. All the flavors go well together. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this place. read more

Absolute GEM!!! The food is delicious; their tomato poblano soup with grilled cheese is AH-MAZING!!! The mussels with the potato noodles was so tasty for garlic lovers like me. And lastly, their own bartender Joe created the white sangria with Pinot Grigio and their house mix peppers infused vodka, with sprinkles of tajin and garnished with fresh cilantro. OMG this restaurant has ruined me forever. The staff were all friendly and supportive with content making. Wow! Third time here, but we live 7+ hours away. What does that tell you? It's stellar! This was our first visit for dinner, previous visits was brunch. Before I start, you must know that last night I had the most disappointing Filet Mignon. So, tonight's Filet Mignon here at the Clinkscale was the "do over" steak. I ordered the filet and it was nothing shy of perfect. To be able to produce a mid rare steak and still have the classic "bark" on the exterior is nothing short of impossible for everyone BUT The Clinkscale. The herb compound butter was so perfectly melted before it arrived to my table. That's a first! Every other place seems to think that chilled butter hockey puck is something special. News flash, it's not! We want it melted and perfect like The Clinkscale! And then! Because I'd like to save a few calories, despite the melted pool of butter that my steak was sizzling in, I said no to the fried French fries and went for the mashed potatoes. Oh. Em. Gee! Get the mashed taters!!!! Despite having some natural and perfect small chunks in the mash, it was beyond smooth and luxurious. Now how is that possible? It just is, trust me! Go there if you have a chance! You will not regret it. On top of all that, we really enjoyed our server Mary. It was a perfect visit, from the start until the very end. read more

Jerome is a neat town that we stopped by in on our road trip up north. After walking around, we needed a break for lunch. We came upon The Clinkscale and decided to go in. It was a little later than lunch time on a Friday, so we (5 of us) were seated immediately. Their menu had a variety of items ranging from pancakes for breakfast / brunch to salads & sandwiches for lunch. I ordered the Basil Grilled Chicken sandwich and upgraded my side to truffle fries. My husband got the Hot Chicken & Biscuits, my mom got the lemon ricotta pancakes, and my dad got the avocado toast. Overall, we were all happy with our lunch. The hot chicken & biscuits dish was delicious but very heavy with all the gravy; probably a good one to split. I liked the grilled chicken sandwich, it had a good amount of flavor. The truffle fries were seasoned well, they were the thinner shoestring kind (not my personal preference when they're not plain but they were okay). We were pleasantly surprised by the lemon ricotta pancakes, not too sweet which was nice. It did take a while to get our food once we put in our order but this restaurant definitely seems like a come and hang out kind of place. We didn't get any this time, but their cocktails looked good, so would try next time with an appetizer while waiting for our meal. If you're in Jerome, definitely check this place out! read more

The Clinkscale never disappoints and John was our awesome server. Despite being from Kansas City, we are regulars and we recommend others to dine here. We have never had a bad meal and really enjoy the vibe. We knew there wasn't a ton of seating, and John shared there are only 13 tables. I could see one side of the bar had 5 seats and assume the other was the same. We had reservations for 5p, but managed to come in sooner and was able to be seated right away. We shared the Steak & Blue Cheese Bruschetta, Grilled Shrimp & Parmesan Grits, Peach Cobbler Bread Pudding as well as the Arizona Mojito and Mingus Fog. We would be hard pressed to rank the food as they were all awesome. We enjoyed talking with John and he imparted very enticing information about The Clinkscale Hotel and we are already thinking of when we can book a stay. As you probably can tell - we will be back. read more

Enjoyed our meal here. The tortellini Mac and cheese was rich and creamy. I was mildly disappointed in my grilled chicken sandwich which was tasty but only had 2 very thinly sliced chicken as the filling. I loved making the drive just to come eat here until today. While my husband and I were eating at the bar, a female employee with short blondish curly hair, decided to cough repeatedly right in our direction EVERY time. After about 6th time I asked her to please stop coughing towards us while we are eating. Her response was "it was not intentional" ???? Well I would hope not ... what a weird response. Then she continued to stare me down and even sat right across from us at the bar eating and continued staring. We were going to stay for another drink but this woman's behavior was so off putting we had to leave. read more

OMG... after a 2 hour ride from Williams to Jerome Az in our UTV, we enjoyed the most delicious meal here. We split the massive 8 oz filet mignon in with lemon herbed mash. They even offer it loaded but we loved how it came. The buttered cast iron filet mignon was the best I have ever had. We started with the Caesar that I loved. Massive shreds of cheese, homemade croutons and a zesty- lemon infused Caesar. We asked for a couple pieces of sourdough so we could sink it into the leftover bud in the cast iron skillet. Also- great tip from our waiter... if you are sharing the filet mignon and one person likes it a little bit more well done than the other, you can easily leave one in a little longer to cook. We did that and it was amazing.the bread pudding - comes with a crème glaze and fresh berries. Could use a little more peaches because it's a hybrid of a cobbler and a bread pudding. It I would order again read more

Absolutely loved our lunch at The Clinkscale in Jerome! I ordered the chopped salad with chicken and--no exaggeration--it was the best salad I've ever had. Perfectly balanced, super fresh, and full of flavor. The dressing was so good that I wanted to just drink it hahaha! But really. My husband went with the bacon cheeseburger and was very impressed. The shoestring fries were just okay, but everything else was so good, it hardly mattered. The ambiance is what really sealed the deal--charming, cozy, and full of character. I wish the Clinkscale was closer to home. If it was, we would eat here twice a week. While in Jerome, we ate here three times in two days - two dinners and a breakfast. All were top notch. Lets start with the charming old building. The owners have done a marvelous job of making it comfortable without losing the character. The building is nothing without good people. Mike, the manager, has chosen some great people. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and professional. The bartending was superior. We experienced three different bartenders, and they all had great skills behind the bar top. The food is truly fine dining quality. I know this is Jerome, but I feel the food quality and execution is on par with any big city steakhouse. I was blown away by my filet. They serve it a bit under on a cast iron skillet with butter sauce so you can sear every bite as you slice it off the filet. The shrimp cocktail was just dreamy. They imparted a lot of flavor in the shrimp by grilling them before chilling. The two sauces they come with were great by themselves or mixed together. Wherever we talked about food in Jerome, everyone recommended the Clinkscale. Now, we do the same. If your in the vicinity, eat here. You will be blown away! read more

Very quaint and turn of the century feeling decor, perfect for Jerome. We arrived at 8:30 and by 9:00 it was packed. Dawn our waitress was great, attentive and always filing our drinks. The food was fabulous. My wife loved her French omelette which was covered with hollandaise. The potatoes were crusty and tasty. My daughter and I had the bowls. They were very good with eggs, sausage, potatoes and avocado. My only complaint was the heat of the sriracha sauce, duh. My daughter loved it. This is a well deserved five star rating.
