Recently we had an issue with our washing machine drain pipe overflowing sporadically. Sporadic problems are the worst to diagnose and treat. On their first visit, they were unable to find the issue but did their best to troubleshoot. We had them back a bit later and they were able to diagnose the issue; part of our drain hose dislodged and was stuck in a pipe in our wall. They came back and cut open our wall, cut out the section of pipe with the issue and replaced it and let us know about an unknown leak behind the wall. We really trust Sound to take care of us and charge a fair price. While we don't like to have to call them, we appreciate their expertise, promptness, and professionalism.

Two guys showed up and first power rodded the drain about 15 feet but couldn't go further because was worried it would scratch our thin PVC pipes. Then he camera scoped about 8 feet but then still worried it would damage the PVC pipes. I was disappointed we couldn't go further but I suppose it is what it is. He did clean out a good amount of tree roots and said that was probably the biggest blockage and though we couldn't see the rest, it will probably be OK. He said our pipes looked in OK condition, no holes as far as he could see. He was very nice and answered all of our questions. They did wear booties into the house but like every other contractor, they also wear the booties outside and then back inside everytime they go inside and outside. It was wet outside so some mud was tracked in all the way by the two people. Like I said, this seems to happen with all contractors, just a little nuisance to clean up afterwards. But overall, pleased with the service. They had competitive rates, $485 for the power rod and $200 for the camera. Will call them next time (maybe in 5 years?) when we need another cleaning. Thanks!

We hired J Sewer & Drain to install a new catch basin in September 2025 after the wall of our old…read moreone collapsed. The quoting process and installation initially went smoothly. A couple of weeks later, we noticed the soil around the catch basin beginning to sink. Over time, the settling worsened to the point where part of the catch basin wall and some of our foundation became visible, which was understandably concerning. Communication was slow at first, and it took some persistence to get follow-up. Eventually, J Sewer & Drain did come out to inspect the catch basin. After their evaluation, they indicated that the installation itself appears to be sound and that the settling is likely due to soil compaction issues rather than a structural problem with the basin. Since the inspection, things seem to be stable and okay. While the situation was stressful and the communication gap was frustrating, I do appreciate that they ultimately came out to assess the issue and explain their findings. Thank you!

We've had a kitchen line full of grease for awhile now and finally decided to clear it due to water not going down anymore, the day after turkey day(imagine the dishes). Called J sewer and they showed up a few hours later to hydrojet the pipe and clear it. Took about 1.5 hours. I am going to be honest, the price shouldve been about 200 bucks cheaper than it was, but no biggie. It wouldve cost nearly triple the amount had i replaced the pipe. For insight, i was told 975 to jet for 1.5 hours and 275 for each additional hour. Plumber showed up at 3:15pm and they were done before 4:45(packing up took about ten min). There are cameras on my entire property so I doublechecked the time and yeah it was def not 1.5 hours.. I was still charged an additional 200 dollars. Another thing I wouldve liked is if they doublechecked the pipes after with a camera, Ive had hydrojetting performed at another property before so the process this time was a little different.. All in all, they did do a good job and cleared the pipe. I am a little salty about the extra 200 but no big deal, which is why I gave 4 stars. Id say, use them for bigger jobs. Smaller jobs you may want to find an independent plumber as they have much less overhead. Just my two cents.

The company then quoted me $2200 as the cost to replace it and reiterated that this did not include the $99 that they already charged me. So yes, had I gone with that company, it would have cost me $2300. Armed with this information, I posted pictures and exactly what the "diagnosis" said and asked for emailed quotes...to be clear I said EMAIL only. I then got no less than 10 phone calls saying "please give us a call so we can talk about your situation. Some called more than once. Lakeland Heating and Cooling (Jason) was nothing like that... $1270 flat rate to replace the water heater. Yes, thats how he replied in his email.. as I requested. He came in.. with the water heater... replaced it... and went on his way. Other companies, that followed directions, also came in higher than $2000. I am EXTREMELY satisfied with Jason and Lakeland! High Quality, Tremendous VALUE
