The couple who owns the place has clearly gone to great lengths to create an exceptional cocktail experience. You can tell they genuinely love their craft, and that attention to detail comes through in both the atmosphere and the drinks. The cocktail menu is thoughtfully curated across a wide range of spirits, with enough creativity and variety to appeal to just about every palate. My wife and I especially enjoy coming here as the seasons change to see what new creations they've introduced, while still being able to fall back on favorites from their regular menu. Their Old Fashioneds are exceptional, and as someone who gravitates toward tequila and mezcal, I'm always impressed by what they do with those spirits. The Cozy Old Fashioned is a personal favorite, but I've yet to have a cocktail here that felt like an afterthought. There was considerable deflection, repetition, and what felt like half-truths rather than a sincere effort to work toward a mutual solution. The manager should remember that they represent the Root of Happiness brand. We have been patronizing Root of Happiness for at least 10 years, long before the owners expanded to the Roseville, Midtown, and Rocklin locations.
