Francis Scott Key Mall is one of the former. Somehow this mall is thriving with some well established national brands and a surprise or two. This is a single level mall that I had the chance to visit twice over the past few months while travelling back and through the area. I took it as a point where I was either almost there or just outside of the busy areas. Anchor stores are what you think it would be with one of the surprises mixed in. This mall just happens to still have a Sears as an anchor store. But not only a Sears, a JCPenney. Two stores that have left malls in droves the past copy of years. It is just so odd to see. This is an easy mall to get through but also an easy mall to get lost in. I can see this a one stop shop for items for birthdays or the holidays. However, I don't see it being a destination shopping area for those from outside the area.

There was a previous return before me and since I work at retail, I know that return can affect your overall sales for the day. She takes my receipt and looks at my clothes and goes "sorry I cannot make this return for you because there's no tags" (The tags were in the bag, again I bought the wrong sizing since I bought these when the store was 10 minutes before closing) I told her that I had placed the tags in the bag. And without asking me what was wrong with the product or why I was even returning it, she quickly assumed that it was already used and that therefore she could not make this return for me. She threw my things in the bag and didn't even ask me anything else. I will never come back to this location, and if you can DO NOT buy if you are in a rush. This place has terrible customer service Monday afternoons. I had all the information needed to complete this return, and yet still got horribly serviced.

I ended up charging it to my debit card only to back debit (return) the items and still not see the funds back into my account. I found a pair of gym leggings and a top. The top had a spot where it was damaged and Teyshia, the person that rang me up requested for an approval of discount. The girl with the glaring problem refused to give me a discount for the damaged sweater and ended up giving the 10% off after asking their manager for the approval. Teyshia was very sweet and apologized for how the other girl acted and handled the situation. Ridiculous how Teyshia was still in training but provided better customer service than the other girl with zero personality. Managers should keep their staff in check!

Sweltering Conditions - No A/C for Weeks…read more I stopped into Macy's at FSK Mall and couldn't believe how hot it was inside. The air conditioning clearly isn't working -- it was uncomfortable just walking around. I saw employees working in short sleeves with fans blowing on them at the registers. One even mentioned it's been like this for quite some time. It's not just unpleasant -- it feels unsafe for both staff and customers in this kind of heat. They must have been burnt so many times that they have every safe guard set to protect themselves. The young lady working the day I went to pick up my items was very to the point. I didn't sell any of my items in 3 months which was fine (18 out of 20 items were clothing items new with tags). I was in there for about an hour an a half looking for my unsold items after the consignment period ended. I found 19 out of 20. I gave up on the last item. I was still planning to try to sell another group/type of items. However, after going to retrieve my unsold items, and feeling unvalued as a consignee, I have decided not to sell there again.
