$8 Chicken Caesar Salad Happy Hour! Such a big portion for the price :)

Such a cute patio in the back, and the food is so good and cheap! I will be coming back for the karaoke night!

I lost track of the number of times I've been here, and frankly it's my least favorite bar in Cap Hill. It's popular among GROUPS of people, but almost never just 1-2 patrons. I assume they're mostly students of SeattleU. If you're not one, you stick out like a sore thumb. If you are one, lord of judges vibes. What's great about it is that they offer specials every day at almost every hour of the day. They also have triva, karaoke, and open mic nights. Most of the prices are reasonable. The quality of food is average and there's nothing special about the menu. The drink menu is very limited, and there's only 2-3 special cocktails here. The place feels like its a fraction of what it used to be, dated and never restored, and lots of unused space. Lots of seating, but it's never full. So, If I had to guess why anyone would come here, if not by force like I am, it's because the food is affordable, there's a lot of space for people to hang out, and there's a free pool table.

This bar is walking distance from where we live but have always kind of avoided it as it's the local college spot. Decided to swing in on a whim to quickly watch the Seahawks and grab a quick drink. Unbeknownst to us they open at 2pm... we learned this as we walked in at approximately 2:04pm. After a couple beers and a stressful performance from Russell Wilson we decided to stress eat a chicken quesadilla for the hell of it. We were INCREDIBLY shocked how much flavor it had. It was delectable, and the first time in a long time I excitedly wanted to order more food from a college bar. Servers were also super kind and personable. I would give it five stars but seeing as I know this wasn't an average visit (we were more or less the only people there at the time), going with four for now. Nonetheless, we will be back, and will update on the next visit as needed!

Really cool, Irish pub with cozy, low-light atmosphere. Affordable drinks, super friendly and welcoming waitstaff! If you're going for a late-night drink, and are looking for food, their kitchen closes around 10 pm. However, around 11, a Seattle hot dog cart makes an appearance outside, to serve all your drunken, munchie needs. Haha It's a plus that I live within walking distance! Will be back for sure.

I absolutely love coming here! Especially on taco Tuesdays. Major shout out to April she is an amazing bartender. I highly recommend coming here if your looking for a great night out.

You will find law students here all the time because this is their go-to to drink and get wasted. I am not one of them, just for the record. Chieftain has good appetizers such as Tachos (tater tot version of nachos with all the guac and other crap on it), mozzarella cheese sticks, and wings. Their drinks are pretty standard, but I especially like their nitro stout that they sometimes have on their rotating tap. Summers are nice because they have an outside area in the back that you and your friends can sit. If you want to stay away from the loud BGM and TV, you can also sit in the front area near the front door. The back room has a pool table if you want to shoot pool; when private events are going on there, the servers will put the plates of food on the pool table. Some tips: Monday is happy hour all day, which means $5 appetizers and some discounted drinks. Tuesdays attract large crowds because Chieftain has Trivia Night at 8pm. If your team wins, I think you get $50 off your party's tab, $25 if you get second. My friends and I have never won anything from Trivia Night every time we went, so I don't bother to go anymore.

Pretty casual college bar. I wouldn't really recommend it for the 35+ crowd. Drinks are pretty cheap, music fluctuates from medium to blaringly loud, service is ok.

As a cider fan, I was especially happy to see a solid variety of options. Although I had a frustrating experience with the kitchen, but I'd still come back. It was an especially hectic day with multiple events and a soccer game, so it seemed like everyone arrived at once. I ended up waiting about an hour for my food, which was disappointing. That said, the staff handled the situation really well, there was consistent communication, and they took the time to engage with us, which I appreciated. Still, the kitchen delays and order issues shouldn't be overlooked. On the bright side, the drinks were excellent and reasonably priced. They also have a great selection of games, which I'm looking forward to trying next time. The location is another plus, just a few minutes' walk from the T-Link, making it very convenient.

Still decent, just not something I'd rave about. The mini golf is definitely the highlight. It's really cute how the course spells out "SEATTLE," and I loved the little Space Needle to end the last of the mini golf holes. That said, there are only 9 holes and they're pretty small, so it goes by quickly. Drinks are all on tap and feature local/Washington breweries, which I really appreciated. I love supporting local! We came during their February deal and it was such a great value -- $45 for a pizza, two pint glasses to take home, two drinks, and unlimited games. Honestly, that made the experience feel totally worth it. Duffleboard was fun, though it looked a little outdated. They also had cornhole and a ping pong table, which made it feel like like there variety of things to do. Loved the vibes/ambiance (fun art and murals) and music. Overall, a fun spot for a casual hangout -- especially if you catch one of their deals!

The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

They gave us these post cards to write down our individual drinks. FYI - this place requires using your smart phone to scan a QR code for the menu. We ordered 2 apps (salmon dip with pita chips & chips and cheese dip) I ordered fish and chips. Buddy got the meat loaf. Our beer showed up quick. Waiter always checked on us often. Our apps showed up and they were both delicious. Then 5 minutes later our main dish orders showed up. Wasn't too happy with that because we wasted time to taste our beers and snack on the apps. They need to work on their timing. Need at least 10 minutes in between the beer and apps. The food overall is admittedly top notch. Fish and chips FRESH! The fish was juicy and the fried crust was perfection. Pieces were large. They will ask if you want 3 or 4. 3 is enough. If they can work on timing the drinks and food this place would be a 5 out 5, but will deduct a star because of that. The overall vibe of the place was nice. Huge layout with wooden picnic style tables. Outdoor tables if you're lucky to get one. Large tanks to brew beer surrounding the room and a merch table.
