    Shrimp and bacon pasta

Going to this place just happened by chance and I must say I didn't regret the decision. The food was really good and we enjoyed each bit of it. Good service and their patio vibes are worth a visit if you are in the neighborhood.

Rosemary Duck (only half of it was plated here at home-- generous portions!)
    Signe L.

This was my third time visiting, and it was horrible. There was absolutely no rosemary in the duck and the red wine that was there before was missing. The duck was completely unseasoned with only three tiny slices of mushroom, and instead of a sauce it was sitting in its own rendered fat, which got all over the roast vegetables as well. It was completely inedible. There was a bonus hair in the food - - short brown, fine and wavy. My hair is long and blonde. The rendered duck fat got all over the vegetables, so they were completely inedible, as was the shrimp with white wine reduction, which actually had cream in it even though I wrote on my note "dairy free", so I could not eat that at all. The description of the shrimp also said white wine reduction with vegetables. It did not mention cream sauce, so please get your descriptions right because your customers count on it. The utter lack of flavour and seasoning is inexcusable with all these great base ingredients that they have. I won't try this again. Uber is refusing to refund me for the allergy containing dish that was improperly described by the restaurant. I can't have those mistakes being made and hair in your food is just disgusting -- wear a hairnet. It's very unfortunate, because my journey with them started out so well, but after three orders, the food has become totally inedible. Pure rendered fat is not a glaze or a sauce.

A classic neighborhood brunch spot, I would say its a good spot to grab all your classics you need, but not worth the commute if you are far away. Everything was good, and tasty, but can be forgettable. The portion is generous and you will surely be full with a nice side salad, fruit and serving of potatoes as a side on most dishes

The service in this place is great, I had the Bree which I didn't like, but that's my take on it. It came with a salad that had French dressing on it. A dressing I have not seen or even heard of since my early teens and it tastes the same as I remembered. The Bree was coated and it just was not for me. The gumbo however was absolutely delicious plus I ordered lasagna for home. I suggest you give good place a try and I'd like your take on the Bree.

Smoked chicken spaghetti (2 for 1). A lot more filling than you'd think.

Tasty, filling and better than it looks. The smoked chicken spaghetti dishes we ordered were advertised as (2 for 1) but when we first saw them our initial reaction was that each dish would only be enough for a single meal. Our mistake. There was a lot of pasta, chicken, bacon, mushrooms and pesto cream sauce packed into each of takeout containers. The pictures aren't particularly appealing but thats merely because the ingredients are all very neutral in colour. Some fresh herbs may help add another layer of flavour and would certainly add some colour to the dish. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and would order from The Cheri Bistro again. Support your local restaurants. Four stars.

Came here once before with my parents and again with a great friend of mine from UofT. Very rich in flavour for both dishes that I had. I was full in the end and got only ice cream as dessert. However, coming here on a Monday, there is 3 course special where you get to decide your own appetiser, entree (excluding dishes with lobster or a filet) and dessert from the menu for only $39. I chose that and it definitely paid off. Will be coming back many times in the future for different occasions.

We were here for lunch on a Saturday, and were seated very quickly. The decor inside was really nice and looked newly renovated. They also have a patio outside, and there are gender-neutral washrooms. I got the fish and chips, which was delicious! It came with some coleslaw and fruits. The batter on the fish was light and crispy (But not oily). Personally, this is one of the best fish and chips I've had in Toronto. The fruits were really fresh as well. We'd definitely come back again when we're in the area. It's a great place to grab some food - the food is quite affordable, and the service is great.

Great local restaurant with a large, diverse (but Italian focused menu). Variety of daily food and drink specials (Thursday wings)!

The almond croissant, when you're lucky enough to claim one before nine, delivers a genuinely impressive balance of shattering, buttery layers and a filling laced generously with almond cream, more Parisian in spirit than most bakeries attempting the same feat across this city. Even the raspberry version, when available, carries the same confident hand in the kitchen. The coffee program deserves equal praise. A well pulled latte and a properly balanced cappuccino suggest a team that treats espresso with the same seriousness as their pastry case, and it shows in the cup. Where the experience finds room to grow is in the choreography of the space itself. The room is petite, charming in its cobalt blue framed way, but the flow between ordering and pickup can feel cramped during a rush, and seating fills quickly. The patio, however, is a genuine reward, a shaded perch worth claiming on a slow afternoon. This is a cafe operating with real ambition and skill, let down only occasionally by its own popularity. Arrive early, claim a croissant while you still can, and settle onto the patio; you'll leave understanding exactly why regulars keep coming back.

The line moved quick, even though it wrapped around, we waited for about 20 minutes only. The menu has some cool items, a few fusion dishes and trendy items. Awesome presentation and definitely Instagram worthy. I got the huevos rancheros, it was more like an egg burrito with beans, sauce and potatoes on top. The potatoes were probably my favourite out of everything. It was good but not the traditional you would expect. My friends sadly did not like their eggs benedict. The coffee was also average, not very strong or fragrant. Service was absolutely terrible. Our sever took so long to come, we see him just chatting in the corner. It was hard to flag him down for anything. It was not a nice experience. The menu does have some other cool items I do want to try (pancakes and french toast)... so maybe I will give it another shot if I am in the area one day.

Very friendly service (server was Crystal). Sat outside and still was attended to attentively - typically worried that patio seating gets less attention but that wasn't the case here. The menu excited me as brunch usually is a choice between sweet or savoury, but they have various options with both. Got the Indecisive with the eggs poached medium ( would recommend soft for future or sunny side up). The pistachio latte was yummy but with the matcha pancakes it became too sugary of a meal. Overall a casual yet put together vibe. Great for friends, dates, solo, or family. Washrooms not the cleanest, but the dining area was good. Did notice a few more birds than typical patios (tried to eat our scraps as we were waiting for the bill).

This place looks like a fairly typical breakfast spot, offering a good amount of seating, large menus for both breakfast and Lunch, and of course, a ton of different pancake options! I'm usually not someone who orders temporary menu items or specials, but the second I saw the S'More Toffee Lava Pancakes I almost had a heart attack, so of course, I ordered the stupid pancakes to avoid such an problem. The food didn't take too long to come out, and they looked even better in person than they did in the menu. Maybe I'm just a little over enthusiastic about these pancakes, but I can pretty confidently say these may of been the best pancakes I've ever had. They were big, fluffy, and this plate did not skimp on the toppings at all. Overall, Stacked Pancake & Breakfast has definitely become a go-to spot for me when returning to Toronto. The food here was phenomenal and even though it took us almost 30 minutes for someone to give us a bill and let us pay, the pancakes were too good for me to get hung up on that.
