Dry ass sandwich tasteless
Tino V.

What happened to cheesesteak shop ? The meat is not the same not juicy and tasty like before . The large size is like a small now . Asked for provolone cheese and the cook hardly put any. I'm really disappointed with this place . Do yourself a favor and don't go to this location . I expected more . Train your cook better ! This sandwich is so dry no seasoning. I paid 47 dollars for 3 sandwiches.

We ordered two regular size classic phillies. In one word- Bland. The cheddar cheese sauce was minimal, and most of it was on the wrappers and not on the sandwiches. Onions were few and far between. Both sandwiches were crushed on one end. The bread was dry and stale. The joke is on us because we spent $30 for two sandwiches that we picked up, not delivered. *UPDATE* 3/18/25 I emailed you on 3/16/25 at the address you gave and there's been no response.

I'll just file this one under another guilty pleasure of mine. It wasn't until after I moved back to the Bay Area from Southern California that I tried The Cheese Steak Shop over 20+ years ago. In fact this was the exact location that I tried it for the first time. Since then I've tried several other locations. Food is pretty consistent across the locations I've visited and the service is good. Located off of Clayton Blvd it's on an older strip mall next to a donut shop. Meat, Melted cheese and bread is all it really is however somehow the end result greater than just the sum of its parts. The chopped steak hot off the grill stuffed into a roll on top of melted cheese makes this the King of Sandwiches! Once I crave one, no other place will satisfy my Craving!! They truly are addictive!

Without all the wrapping a regular is about 4 inches long.

Love the chicken cheesesteaks but wish the sizing was better. I usually get a large but it's too much for me. The regular, which is a half, is laughably small. The large is huge. The need for a medium is real. The photo only looks somewhat decent in size because of all the peppers stuffed in. Finished in about 4-5 bites. Needs to be bigger. Please create a medium size.

Best cheesesteaks I've had in a while. I show everyone this spot lol. The cheesesteaks are amazing, the house made chips are bomb, and everyone who works here is cool as hell. Meet is cut and cooked to perfection--I mean everything is just so good. I'd say service can be slow but I always see them working hard to get orders done, so guarantee it's most likely just an understaffing issue and not anything to do with quality of their service. Pro tip: add garlic to the sandwich it turns it up! Photos don't do it justice. Definitely try them out!

This place rocks can't go wrong with a cheesesteak from this location. I have tried this location and Brentwood and seems to be consistent.

Been a minute since I've been here. Lots a talk about ownership stuff. But went there today (open…read moreon Sunday) ordered 7 different sandwiches over the phone. 100% correct, sandwiches were excellent and I am going back. Great service, price and food. Checks all the boxes. Don't sleep on Luigi's!

I wanted to give this Italian deli a try, so I decided to go with their Dagwood Sandwich. When I…read morelooked at the menu for online ordering, I got super confused because they had the Dagwood listed under 3 different sections. 2 of them had a starting price of around $17, while one had a starting price of around $13. I figured I'd go with the $13 one, why not? Then I quickly realized that the ordering system was a whole mess. It gave me the option to customize my sandwich, but some of the required fields didn't make any sense at all. For example, I don't like olives, but it required me to select olives. Then there were 2 separate sections for extra meat and extra ingredients, and those were required too, and both came with additional charges!!! I thought requiring customers to add extra ingredients and charging them extra because of that was totally ridiculous. If I don't want extra meat or extra ingredients, I should be able to leave those options blank and still place my order. But I couldn't proceed to place my order if I didn't select those. I ended up trying to go with the $17 option instead with minimal customization options. I eventually just placed the order, went to the store, and picked it up. As for the sandwich itself, it was pretty standard in size and the quality was decent, but there really wasn't much going on inside. It was basically just bread, meat, and cheese. There weren't even any vegetables! No lettuce whatsoever. I thought that was really weird for a sandwich to be very bare like this, especially given that the final total cost was $19 for a single sandwich from a small deli. I expected a lot more from a sandwich at that price! Again, the sandwich wasn't bad, but I didn't think it was worth $19.

There were already a few people ordering, but I was helped out right away. Since it was my first time here, I asked the worker if there was anything she recommended. She let me know I could build my sandwich, but she gladly pointed me toward one of her favorites, the peppered turkey with pepper jack cheese. I went with the sourdough roll and got it with the works. It was a pretty hefty sandwich! They didn't hold back with the turkey and the pepper jack went really well with it. It wasn't overly salty, the flavors were balanced, and it hit the spot. The price was $15.50, which is pretty standard nowadays. But compared to some of the other sandwich spots I've tried around the area, it had noticeably better flavor. There are a ton of options and combinations to choose from. I'll definitely be back for more. I think I may have found my new favorite sandwich spot!

Upon arrival, we found parking easily, a lovely elderly lady opened the door for us to this old school deli and we were greeted quickly at the counter while in awe of all the goodies. I ordered a mortadella sandwich, my toddler got the pasta salad, my friend got the peppered turkey sandwich and her toddler got the potato salad. The food arrived quickly and was massive! The sandwiches were well seasoned, had a good meat to bread ratio and were satisfying. The folks here were so lovely and despite the limited seating, no one gave us a look for having toddlers playing around. After eating, you can go to the register and pay. This kind of blew my mind- this level of trust is not often seen anymore. During the hour that we were there, there was a constant stream of people coming in to order food, their tables were full and everyone seemed happy. I am so happy to finally get to try Parma! We will be back to this lovely deli the next time our schedules align.

He…read moretried Morucci's the week before with family after they suggested it and that piqued my curiosity as well. I know there known for their sandwiches, but I just wanted to sample their deli stuff. I opted for small containers of the penne pasta, Gigante beans, and their house made sliced meatballs. They had some pastries available for half the price, so I couldn't resist trying their pumpkin muffin. We also got an Arnold Palmer to try. My partner got their Popeye & Olive Oil sandwich. For 3PM, this place was popping. Most of the tables were taken, but thankfully people come and go pretty quickly. We found a table pretty quick, but I'm not sure how lunch peak hour would be. I honestly enjoyed everything we got as simple as they were. Flavor was great for all items. I like that for the deli stuff, even though the main ingredients were simple, they added a little bit of extra ingredients. Like the beans weren't just beans, but well flavored either by marinating or simmering in a light sauce. The meatballs as well. It tasted well seasoned and their marinara sauce was great! I also really enjoyed the pumpkin muffin. Plenty of spices mixed in, not too sweet, crunchy top (best part), and with sprinkles of pumpkin seeds! The Arnold Palmer was refreshing and I love that it's house made (at least I think it is) - not too sweet either! Grear place for a really affordable yet satisfying meal! Whether you're looking for something substantial or something lighter, Morucci's got it! As my partner has said "great sandos, great sides, excellent portions, and awesome price"!

However, the sandwich itself was smaller than I expected. So, I guess the price checks out? The biggest let down was definitely the amount of meat (or lack of) that we got. I've never gotten such a skinny sandwich at a deli before. My Caesar sandwich was all bread, a bit of turkey, and a tiny bit of cheese and dressing. The lettuce pieces I got were mostly the weird stem parts instead of the romaine leaves. We also got an Italian sandwich. I've never seen an Italian sandwich with such little cold cuts on it. Just look at the picture. Positives: the cashier was pretty nice. also, the ciabatta bread was very soft but crunchy. They have a patio outside with shade that was nice to sit on.
