Behind the bar was a few TV's which would make for a good spot to grab a game when in season. Service was friendly and fairly quick for the cocktails. Cocktails were decent, not as strong as we anticipated, which was a pleasant surprise. Fair selection of beers as well. While we were after drinks, they do have a food menu, but we did not order anything beyond our beers and cocktails. Overall, no major issues with our our stop at The Pothole.

So when our initial plan fell through last night (closed on Thursdays), we decided to go find it again not knowing the actual restaurant name. While we still want to try the other place, we were VERY happy to have found this spot. They have a very fancy drink menu. But we came for the burger which we all 3 got. Incredibly delicious! The quality of the beef used was top notch. Cooked to medium, it was juicy and so flavorful. They used good quality buns that could stand up to the juiciness. Very filling. I didn't take a picture because 1. It's a burger and 2. I rarely post reviews and didn't think to pull out my phone. The staff and owner were so friendly and accommodating. Revel Cafe and Bar will be a nice local place to bring our craft cocktail-loving visitors. Thank you, Revel for such a pleasant and delicious dining experience on a random Thursday night!

There were 2 bartenders and a manager type who was pissed off because he had to come in and change a keg. He let everyone know he was pissed. I got some Black and Gold Wings which are Carolina mustard BBQ and some fries. The wings were cooked well but the sauce was just ok, to me they tasted more like honey mustard. The fries were the big steak fries which I am not a fan of but there were a lot of them. They were fine, I just like thinner fries. They have about 20 beers on tap, heavy on Abita brands. The menu is full of cool bar eats including things like Shawarma. I should have tried it. The inside is small and there is a courtyard out back. The bartender was friendly and service was fast.

I think it could've used a little more chicken, but it was filling and a good size, so I enjoyed it. They were also selling crawfish plates outside for $20 for two pounds in early February. My friends said the crawfish were pretty good, but I didn't have any.

I am on a wing kick lately so i figured i would stop in for lunch, have a beer and some wings. The super nice bartender hands me a menu and gets me a beer with the quickness. I see wings on the menu are "market price". WTF!?!? Are wings lobster now? I mean does the wing market fluctuate that much that we have to adjust on a daily basis?!? Seems ridiculous. Any way i ordered my 10 market price buffalo wings (by the way it was 1.60 per wing which seems a tad high but not too crazy) and they were solid, not quite as crisp as i would prefer but had good flavor. Also the drum stick to flat ratio was off. I got like 8 drumsticks to 2 flats! Thats not cool. Im a flats guy so it's got to 5 to 5 or heavy on flats! Thats me just being nit-picky. There were 2 guys that for some reason congregated behind me. (It was almost empty inside, why they couldn't find another corner is beyond me) They were bro'ing it up talking about 10's rubbing them down with aloe. These guys looked more like 2026 me so maybe they were reminiscing about the 1996 versions of themselves too. If you are an old fart like me, go get lunch and have a beer just stay away when the lights go down and the college kids come back.
