I especially enjoyed the lower level filled with hanging plants, which creates a relaxing, zen atmosphere that's perfect for studying, reading, or catching up with friends. The cashier was friendly and accommodating, and the café was very clean overall. My only criticism was with the drink preparation. While we were waiting, it seemed like the espresso and milk were ready, but the drinks sat for a few minutes while conversations continued behind the counter before they were finished. As a result, the coffee wasn't as hot as it could have been by the time we received it. I was also a little disappointed with the rosemary brown sugar latte. I was really looking forward to that flavor combination, but I could barely taste either the rosemary or the brown sugar. It felt like there was only a hint of the flavoring, so the drink came across more like a regular latte than the specialty drink I had ordered. It's a relaxing spot to sit outside, watch the boats pass by, and catch the lift bridge in action. You could easily spend an hour there with a drink and forget about the time. We ordered iced chais, which were excellent, but the real surprise was the food. We weren't quite sure what to expect from a coffee shop serving burritos, but wow, were we wrong. We ordered two Clem Burritos, one vegetarian and one with brisket. They were absolutely packed with ingredients and loaded with flavor. Every bite seemed to have a little bit of everything: beans, rice, pico, pickled cabbage, salsa, crema, and plenty more. The combination of flavors and textures worked incredibly well. The crema and salsa were both fantastic, although we definitely would have appreciated a little more of each. Now for the funniest part of the meal: the side of chips. The menu says the burrito comes with chips, and technically it does. As you can see from my photo, we received exactly three chips. Not a handful. Not a small pile. Three individual chips. The funny thing is, they were really good chips. We wanted more of them! It felt like the kitchen accidentally stopped counting at three and decided that was enough. Hopefully they'll revisit the portion size because it's the only thing that felt out of place in an otherwise excellent meal.
