Fairport really has the best spots for coffee and snacks and Clementine is just one of those examples. On a recent visit to Rochester, I was encouraged to try out Clementine while I was in town. I will admit, the entrance to this cafe is a little sketchy as you have to go down the stairs and into a basement area to access it... but the coffee was pretty darn good and lived up to the adrenaline kick of walking there. I was with my dog and was unable to bring him in, but they did have a pup cup for him as an apology (which he scarfed down quick. No complaints - he definitely rates the experience a 10/10). I am not a huge citrus girlie, but did end up getting an orange latte to expand my palate. Honestly, it wasn't awful. I did end up enjoying the latte and finishing it. If I find myself back in Fairport any time soon, I would be glad to try it again. read more

Met up with a friend in Fairport the other day for a walk along the canal and to get something to eat. I had wanted to try Lulu for tacos, but it wasn't open until 4:00. But I didn't realize that this place was Clementine by day and LuLu by night. I was a little disappointed, but glad to try out this cute little cafe. What is really nice is that there is plenty of seating inside in the cafe area, but you can also sit outside by the canal if the weather is nice. And that's what we did, and it was really nice. I got to people watch and even saw the bridge lift for the Colonial Belle. I've never actually seen the bridge lift before! I ordered a "Liquid Sunshine" drink of the day - they had this instead of the agua frescas on this particular day. It had lemonade, tea and a clementine guajillo syrup. It was sweet and refreshing, and I'm glad I went with that. I also had a rice bowl no protein. It was not bad, but not anything super spectacular. I think I was still wishing I was getting tacos. My only complaint was that the service was a bit slow for the amount of patrons that were there. Other than that, I would definitely return. I think it would be a great place to do some work on your laptop or meet up with friends! read more

Such a great spot right along the canal! It's also a taqueria! I ordered a cortado and a burrito. One of the best burritos I've had. The staff were peppy and happy! Very Mexican luxury inspired decor. I sat outside along the canal and it felt like I was in a different world. Highly recommend! I wanted to stop in to check out the fun and festive seasonal drink menu. The overall vibe upon walking in is cozy and charming. The decor is fresh and modern; so inviting. I kept finding new details I enjoyed with the decor. The person who helped us was kind and patient. We needed a moment to decide what to order because everything sounded so good! I ordered the seasonal over the pumpkin wall matcha. It was delicious and provided the seasonal flavors I was seeking. The chicken sandwich I ordered was worth every cent. Every ingredient listed was plentiful and fresh. The chicken was well seasoned and juicy. My husband loved his burrito and was happy with how much of his protein choice was given. Came in here to do work after seeing their Instagram page and it did not disappoint! The space is very cute and comfortable, and the views next to the canal are great. The staff were very friendly, and they had a ton of food options. Their seasonal menu was still available, so I got the "white witch"- a latte with pistachio and rose water. Came here for a latte, bite, and to get some work done. For the latte, I ordered their cookie butter latte. They offer milk alternatives, which is great, so I was able to get it made with almond milk. They served it with a biscoff cookie which was a nice touch and the milk was perfectly frothed. The espresso tasted kind of, I don't know, bitter and burned, which I didn't care for. For my bite, I got the egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on a plain bagel. It was everything a breakfast sandwich ought to be. It came with a side of tortilla chips which was also a nice touch. The space itself is cute and they had tables with easy access to outlets, which made working easy. The service was lovely and the prices are reasonable. read more

Cute cafe inside the Box Factory. I love all the accents from the Loteria wall to the clay pottery. There's both a breakfast and lunch menu. I tried the guava toast which was to die for and the chicken torta which was perfectly toasted and full of flavor. There's also a variety of drinks for coffee and non coffee drinkers alike. They have a rotation special menu, of which I tired the holiday fog which was a nice twist on a London Fog. I also tried the Abuelita's hot chocolate, which tastes exactly of when my grandma makes it. This is definitely a social space, but there's WiFi and outlets so great place to do work as well. An added plus of a parking lot on site. If you're accessing it from the lot, enter through the box factory lobby and walk in towards the back right, I got lost the first time finding this place. Getting a cup of coffee in the morning is a nightmare, the barista's know I'm late to work and have been waiting for 20 minutes, and they gave me so much grief about pouring coffee into a cup with ice that I ended up asking for a credit and leaving, and I was still late to work. I don't know why it's so difficult but it is consistently very, very difficult for the barista's to produce a simple cup of coffee in a timely manner. read more

I just love this place. Starting with the very friendly staff, despite almost always being very busy, are always happy to answer questions and/or chat. The bakery selection is excellent. I love seeing the different cakes showcased every week. The drinks are delicious and creative, and the food is also a hit. In my opinion, there are very few cafes that can do a regular cup of coffee well and they definitely do it here. The atmosphere is always very chill, with good music, which never overpowers the ability to hold a conversation. There's also a rotating gallery wall which is always cool to check out. The details are not overlooked in this space and it's very much appreciated. Honestly, I find excuses to visit here weekly and, if you're in the area, you should too! read more

First, let me say I usually give places two chances before I write a review. If I wrote this review six months ago, it would've been four or five stars. It's Saturday morning, April 26. I arrive at Clementine's at 8:10 AM and place an order for a breakfast burrito and a coffee drink. I specifically went there this morning because I was short on time and enjoy their breakfast burrito. Seeing there were quite a few people in line, I knew it would take a little bit for my coffee drink, and it did, about 10 minutes. I expected my breakfast burrito to come out shortly after - it did not. About 20 minutes later, at 8:40 AM, I finally got my breakfast burrito. The potatoes weren't quite cooked, but cook cooked enough so that they weren't inedible. The rest of the burrito tasted fine. The corn chips that they included were cold and a couple were soggy. This is not a complaint about the food. It's a complaint about losing 30 minutes for something that should be quick and high-quality all around. That's why we pay to get things versus make them ourselves. Please Clementines, take this constructive criticism look at the date and time mentioned in my review and coach the people who are working there to do better. I wish you the best, but it will be a while before I come back and I can't with good conscience recommend your establishment until changes are made. read more

I stopped in here while visiting family in June. Initially I was a bit discombobulated trying to find the shop however I asked someone for help and was easily able to figure out it was on the opposite end of the entrance. Once I got there I immediately noticed the awesome vibe is the shop. I really wanted to set up my laptop and get some work done and chill however I wasn't able to. I ordered the Cajeta Latte iced, upon the recommendation of the barista. The drink was very good! I had asked her how sweet it was and upon her recommendation I ordered it 1/2 sweet and was not disappointed. The flavor of the espresso was not bitter at all and I alwyas prefer whole milk, which is their standard. All in all I'd def visit again. Hopefully I'll be able to hang for a bit. read more

My husband and I happened upon this cafe while looking for a cute coffeehouse and that served breakfast. Clementine was the perfect place. The inside was really nice and full of people. Always a good sign. I had a Cronut that was delicious and my husband had an Almond Croissant, both were delicious. The coffee was really good and staff really friendly. Clementine Coffee is a nice little locally-owned coffee shop located by the bridge in the village of Fairport. The food and beverages are pretty decent at reasonable prices. I stopped in to try some local coffee and I enjoyed my 16 oz. drip coffee without cream and sugar. The staff are nice and friendly. They would get your order ready in a timely manner. It is a quiet place where you can interact with the regulars as well as tourists. I would definitely come back for another cup of coffee along with some pastries. read more
