On our arrival to Penticton we recalled the evening we had here on our last trip. It was a night at the bar with a couple of appies so decided we would make it dinner on this trip. This place is a long standing fixture in Penticton and we were looking forward to it. And we weren't disappointed. I had the stuffed pork and my wife had the stuffed chicken, both were incredibly done and presented beautifully. The portions are substantial so think of that if you are wanting an appetizer. Lots of choices for wine, most local which is great. There are many notable wineries in the region. The service was great and it was one of the first nights with the launch of the vaccine passport. I appreciated how we felt safe as they took the passport seriously and you couldn't enter the restaurant without documents, even though a few tried. I eat lunch here often, with friends and relatives. It's always a pleasant experience; nothing ever goes wrong, and they don't do anything to irritate me, which is more than I can say for a lot of other restaurants. The food and service are always good. The outdoor patio is comfortable. If the patio had a lake view, the restaurant would be ideal. read more

Extremely rude manager, who lacks customer service skills. When the server never comes to the table for 15 minutes, and your meal is horrible tasting apparently it's your fault, and you should stand up and yell for the manager. Don't worry, you'll pay full price for that meal that you told them to throw out. Typically at a restaurant the manager comes in and checks in on a table, or when the food is awful it's not the customers fault. But here it is. Avoid, eat anywhere else read more

The owner abuses his staff verbally n he has sexually harassed some by clipping at there private areas with tongs he uses for cooking.. the servers are great the cooks are good the dishwasher n salad guy are also good. We went here for the first time with a group and the food was below average. About a third of the steamed mussels were pasty in texture, the garlic bread was tough and needed a lot of pulling to get a bite sized piece off of the slice, the calamari was about half tender and the rest chewy. We walked in without a reservation on a busy Friday night. The friendly greeter immediately found us a spot (Chef's table at the back) and we were served quickly. All three dishes were delicious. The Red Dragon Bowl had just the right amount of spice. The curry mussels smelled and tasted fresh and delicious. Even the side Caesar with grilled chicken exceeded expectations. Unfortunately I was not able to experience the food here, however I will comment on the customer service we experienced before walking out. From what I understand the poor experience we had was with the owners sister. She was an older woman with curly dark grey hair. Upon arriving said she had given away our table and that we didn't have a reservation for the table that we requested. I will add that we made the reservation with her. I attempted to clarify with her that we had a reservation for one of the 4 empty patio tables that were there, however she continued to respond in a condescending and disrespectful manner and said that they were all reserved. I responded that I understand that because we reserved one. The manner in which my family and I were addressed was entirely out of line. This woman shouldn't be working in customer service. If you look at some of the other reviews on tripadvisor you will see that this woman is a common denominator in many of the poor reviews of this restaurant. Unfortunately she just ticked off some locals who won't be eating there again. Another downside of this restaurant was how loud it was. The tables on the inside are very close and you can hardly hear the person sitting next to you. read more

This was my third attempt at having a good experience here and it will be the last. I had written previously rude treatment off to the owner having a bad day. Apparently I was wrong. Owner is dismissive and has no sense of customer service. Closed early without warning rushing us out. Walked me to my table dropping a menu on it without saying a word. Looked at my ID and passport using one word requests. Food is only 50/50 for quality. Won't be back. Too many other excellent choices in Penticton. read more

There are few times in my life when a place seems like it will be good and then completely exceeds even that expectation. From the service to the meal this place is impeccable. Top notch ingredients. Had an excellent meal here with my family. No kids menu but they were fairly accommodating. I ordered the cioppino and it was delicious. Hubby and the kids had steaks and they really enjoyed them. The only thing I would have appreciated was if they had been a little more knowledgeable about wine pairings. This is the place to go if you want a light lunch or a robust dinner. They specialize in Greek food but they have an excellent selection of starters and salads. Enjoyed our visit to The Celler. We tried the Greek chicken, the classic Italiano pizza and red bowl. All were tasty and difficult to finish as far as portion size goes. Nice ambience and good service. The local wine by the glass was nice as we didn't want to have a whole bottle. read more

I really must just say, I really wanted to dine at this place tonight, the menu and ambiance looked GREAT and I'm sure the food was! We will never know. When we walked in the door, we saw about 4 empty tables. After about 5 minutes of standing there, an older women finally came to us at the door and asked how many? (2) we told her. She said it would be a bit BEFORE the busier could clean the empty tables (we never saw a busier). We waited and waited and watched, Then she came back about 10 minuted later and told us that she was going to clear/clean them soon! We FINALLY were seated only to have her tell us to be patient because they were slammed (busy) earlier!!!!! Ok, that's great to be busy, after all it was a Saturday night on Saturday evenings you should be (so staff for it) !!!! We sat and watched, no bartender and only 2 servers which she was 1 of them... 15 minutes go by, nobody even brings us water!!!!?!?!? We decided at that point to leave! It was late, we just drove 9 hrs and were so tired and hungry... The End! read more

The worst service I've had. Showed up Saturday night, was seating outside and started raining. They were slow to move us. In almost 3 hours the waitress brought over two drinks. I even went to the bar to order a drink but there was no bar tender to be seen. It was horrible, the manager was rude to a customer because she wanted to know how long she had to wait. Terrible service, I will never go back. And I will be sure to tell everyone to avoid that place. read more

The food was good but the service by the bartender who was also waiting tables ruined the evening. He was unprofessional and acted like he didn't care and it was an inconvenience to serve us. My friend asked him to recommend a wine and he slammed it down on the table and walked away without telling her what the wine was, he frequently interrupted us talking without care and was sloppy in his manners, appearance and language "yeah, whatever" is not the response you expect from your server. We handed a birthday cake to him at the beginning of the night to keep in the kitchen until dessert, he marched up to the table and said "So you want your cake now or what?" - no care or thought about how to serve it or consideration that it was a surprise. When he saw he had upset us he was rude to the point my friend was in tears. Another waitress tried to help us and the owner gave us a round of shots which was an appreciated gesture but really didn't help matters because she didn't talk to us about it and instead continued to send the bartender to our table who slammed things down and didn't speak! As we left he laughed and said hope you get better service next time! It truly was the worst I have ever been treated at a restaurant and want to warn others. read more
