Two dinners here. One with six at the table and one with eight. The service is friendly and efficient. Good attention is paid to explaining the dishes. There are not many vegetarian options but one can get by with a pasta. They have a good wine selection and some very good wines from a related small production wine maker. The space has a main dining room and a bar. On both occasions we were seated in the bar which I found a bit strange. The lighting is rather on the dark side but not extreme. Everyone was happy with the food. read more

This is my 3rd time going to Intermezzo and they quality of the food is still excellent. Each time we come, the menu is different so we are always trying something different. I remember my second time I had the best Beef Wellington. Today, I had the Ahi Tuna and it was absolutely delicious! The rest of my family had different dishes and I know the Seafood pasta was a huge hit! Great service too and their prices are very reasonable compared to what we have at home for this quality of food. Looking forward to my next trip to the Okanagan! read more

Amazing food! Great people! Love everything about it. Thank you for the amazing visit!

My wife and I celebrated our birthdays there last night (yes born same day, 1 year apart). The whole experience was a pleasure right from the start. Entering Intermezzo, we were asked if there was a special occasion that brought us in. We told them it was our birthday dinner. Upon being escorted to our table, we arrived to find a Happy Birthday sign had been placed on the table. The evening just got better from there. We shared two appies, escargot and bruschetta, a bottle of Ancient Hills Pino Baco, then our entrees. My wife absolutely loved the Ahi Tuna, while I devoured an amazing Moroccan Rack of Lamb, both of which were prepared to perfection. We finished off sharing their signature Black and White Creme Brule. Our server, Jess was an absolute delight, listening to a couple of old fogies stories, and offeriing to take our picture as a momento of the evening. Intermezzo has become our absolute must go to for future birthday dinners. A phenomenal evening. read more

This place is perfect! There is a small patio out front on a quiet street with socially distanced tables. I appreciated the attentive staff, especially in offering their suggestions for drinks and being extra patient. I has gnocchi with my meal and they were the softest, fluffiest little pillows I ever had! The breading on the chicken parm was just right. I loved that the dessert was super extra with 2 types of sauce and candied caramel. The extra touches on the food and the wonderful service make Intermezzo 5 stars!! read more

Very romantic atmosphere! We loved everything! We came right after they decorated for Christmas. Our server was very attentive. All food items we tried were delicious. We has spicy prawns appetizer and Mediterranean bread. For dinner we has Caribbean halibut and NY Stake with added oscar style. I would recommend both. I can't wait to come back! read more

Great atmosphere, live music, and the service was incredible. From the hosts to the server Katya. I was visiting Vernon for a few days and my friend and I enjoyed the Rib Eye with mushrooms and prawns. I had the lamb with mash potatoes with roasted vegetables. Unfortunately we didn't have room for dessert which is a shame. But the overall experience here was lovely and I would definitely visit again on another visit to Vernon. read more

We love the private wine room area, so nice! Food has been excellent and service wonderful. We highly recommend the halibut!

Awesome food, service and ambience. The garden pesto, halibut, risotto, lamb, chocolate mousse and Creme Brule were amazing.

My wife and I live in Vancouver, but were visiting her brother in Vernon, so we came here at his recommendation. Food was great, service simply outstanding, loved the atmosphere. Can't wait to come back! read more

A bit pricy but if your looking to romance some one, this is the place for it. High class food and stylish ambiance. Definitely a must try

I always have remembered Intermezzo for being cozy, elegant and top notch and have never been disappointed when ever I get the treat to eat there. I recently went on my birthday and it was amazing. Full house, lovely quiet chatter from the tables, wine service and unique and tasty food. I had the duck and it was flavourful and cooked to perfect doneness. We were eating birthday cake at home so didn't order dessert but they brought out a little arrangement of chocolate dipped mint leaves with whipped cream and a candle to celebrate! It was a sweet gesture and I cannot recommend them enough for a special meal out. read more

Ambiance was lovely, with good music, warm and cozy booths, and pleasant service. Portions for our veal parmigiana, steamed mussels in Mediterranean sauce, and Mediterranean bread were generous and we couldn't finish them. The flavours were good, but not great. read more

One of the best restaurants in Vernon period. Any great service begins at the front door or on the phone. The reception stay was all that and more. From the minute we arrived, they greeted us so warmly and even asked to help take pictures of our group. We had arrived for 2 anniversaries and they treated us like royalty. Big shout out to the chef and the lady who makes the fresh bread daily. You have to get the Mediterranean Bread! Also, do not miss out on the Black and White Creme Brûlée. read more

To say this was an amazing restaurant is to miss the finer points. First, the service by Sammer was first class. He was personal, informative, fun and original. The menu was incredible diverse. The ambience was romantic and personal. The food was outstanding. Or selections included Frazier duck, Spanish prawns and linguine, and Caribbean halibut. The flavors were amazing. Please don't pass this restaurant up. read more

Upscale casual, cozy setting. Excellent service from start to finish. Truly a strength. Menu has a nice mix of surf & turf. But the wine list is a bit thin for a self described "wine bar." Duck was a generous portion, not overcooked, just as I ordered it. I'd have that again, though the polenta was tough and the risotto dry, like they had been waiting for me for a long time. Crab bisque was a delicious take on the shellfish classic. No ground pepper needed! read more

I was staying at Sparkling Hill, and decided to hit up Vernon for dinner and I am so glad I did! This restaurant feels super cozy and the employees were all very welcoming. We ordered the saffron prawns and mussels, king crab soup, seafood medley pasta and lamb. Everything was DELICIOUS! I was so full after the appetizers as the portions are huge, but left feeling super satisfied. They have a cute wine cellar room where you can dine, and if you ever get the opportunity you should book in advance! read more

This is a real gem. We're not locals but have point a point to come here both times we've been in town and plan to make it a habit. This was our second visit. Our first was based on Yelp reviews (as our restaurant choices usually are). This place tries hard and succeeds. They pay attention to the finest details. An eclectic menu where it doesn't appear that you can ever really go wrong. It's fun watching the servers do their job. They know what they are doing and appear to enjoy doing it. We were there on a Friday night and the place ran like a well-oiled machine. The food the superb, the french onion soup being the only dish that I wasn't a fan of. The broth wasn't as rich as I'm accustomed and the onion were firm. Definitely not caramelized as with a classic rendition of this dish. Though the croutons and cheese were done in a manner that were much better than most I've had. I had the Salmon which was tasty and nicely presented. I'm a fan of the way this restaurant tantalizes you with with whole host of different vegetables and sides. My wife had the Chicken Parmesan. Sounded a bit boring to me but it taught me that this restaurant will add its own twists and flourish to any menu item you choose. read more

We were lucky enough to get reservations at this gem of a restaurant. If we would have been a little quicker we could have booked the wine cellar to dine in. They have space for one group and you can even bring in your own music. Unfortunately it was already booked but we still had a nice booth to celebrate our girlfriend's 40th birthday in. The restaurant was warm and cozy and had unique local art on its walls. Service was impeccable from the moment we entered the restaurant we were warmly welcomed by the lovely manager and our server was equally wonderful. I haven't even gotten to the food yet and was already impressed. We started off with the fresh baked warm bread and whipped herbed butter. Normally I avoid the bread basket but I could not stop eating this delicious bread! Next up we shared the Honey Pear salad and the Alaskan crab Caesar salad. Both were delicious! For my entree I had the Caribbean Halibut on risotto. I also got to sample my girlfriends' dishes. One went with the Spanish Saffron Prawns and the other one chose the Seafood Medley. No one was disappointed. Lastly our server brought a little Creme brûlée as a complimentary dessert for the birthday girl. This place is a must if you are visiting the Vernon area or live here. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town! read more

Very good food! Party of 7 and we were all happy with our meals. The bathrooms were in a very odd location and distasteful. Wine selection was ok. Not much to choose from Italy or France. Coffee was a huge disappointment. After requesting what they brewed and found it to be voets we didn't even bother. They did not know what Illy or lavazza was! read more

Delicious food, great atmosphere and fun staff! Would recommend their filet mignon and crepe brûlée!!
