    Caesar Salad

Been several times over the years and it has really seen it's ups and downs. Happy to say it is now on the up again! Food was very good and the service was as well. The menu has some of its old favorites back like Baked Bri and Garlic! Caesar was fresh, well tossed and lots of flavor, the pizza was excellent.

I dined here on a busy Friday night at 7:30pm. I expected it to be busier but it really quieted down around 8pm and we had the whole place to ourselves. The ambiance was so nice especially sitting next to the window where you are basically right on top of Okanagan lake. I had a striploin steak and they cooked it exactly how I asked. I also added the peppercorn sauce which was delicious. My only complaint is that the carrots could have been a little more cooked (they were crunchy) My espresso martini was very strong but I like that they have a large variety of cocktails to choose from. Overall, I always like to try something new here and I have never have a bad experience.

Gorgeous views, great food! Had the seafood stew, seared halibut, the steak and also tried the pizza... all of which was exceptional. The service was friendly and attentive, and the prices are reasonable given the high-quality of the food. Overall, this is a must-visit for anyone looking for a delicious and memorable dining experience.

Food Quality: 5/5 Customer Service: 5/5 Location: 5/5 Handicap Access: 4/5 I heard about this restaurant through family members and took my partner to check it out. It was a romantic experience right from the beginning with string lights wrapped around the entrance bridge and a dim atmosphere inside. The staff were very friendly and quick to respond and refill. Masks were provided if you didn't have one, and the manager was walking around interacting with customers. There is lots of seating available for wheelchairs and the bathroom isn't so bad to access, but entering the restaurant might be slightly difficult. The view was adorable and the booth seats are cozy and private. The social distancing enforcements are kind of nice because you get the whole view to yourself. The food was expensive but worth it; this is one of the fancier restaurant around, after all. The steak was cooked to PERFECTION and my salmon was floating on an incredibleeee lemon butter sauce. The plate was filling: I almost had leftovers and didn't have room for dessert! I would 100% recommend this business for date night, birthdays, celebrations, or if you're rich enough to spend $70 on food and drinks in one night and just want a nice view. ;)

I came here expecting more, especially after being recommended to eat here. For the price of wine per glass, I wanted better wine. My halibut, potatoes, carrot plate was the most plain I have seen and not worth the price. Chicken tacos were fine. Service good. Sat close to waterfront and nice view. I guess if my expectations were not so high.... hmmm.

We had the best steak (6oz tenderloin) dinner and the amazing Megan was our server - outstanding service ! Meal was delicious and the view was perfect overlooking the lake. We will definitely be back !

The patio here is insanely beautiful! If you think you would like panoramic lake views with top notch service and high quality food, then you need to check this place out! Definitely makes for some beautiful photos. Eclectic and creative drinks, a pretty decent wine list and a super tasty menu all around! The best calamari I have had in a long time was at this beautiful lake side restaurant and bar. I was sad to see that there was no crab on the menu, because I remember ordering crab legs here years ago. I noticed from recent reviews that they have changed their menu since I last visited. I also ordered the Curry dish with chicken and rice, and I was very pleased with that as well. Rich flavor and not too spicy. Service was prompt and professional! The restaurant is quite large, as well as the patio. The prices are totally reasonable considering how lovely the restaurant is. This is a must visit when you are Penticton.

Hooded Merganser Bar & Grill @penticton. Great location at lakefront and in the hub of Penticton's tourist area. Romantic sunset can be seen from the patio. You do pay a premium to be at that location with prices a little higher than most other restaurants and menu selection is ordinary. The food was okay. It was really the experience to be at the tourist hub and be right next to our hotel that drew us there.

Staff were great, unfortunately the NY steak was not so great. Can't beat the location on Okanagan Lake, though.

We booked a Happy Hour reservation for the long Sunday Easter long weekend at 4:30pm and we were the first to arrive. As Salt & Brick has an evolving fresh sheet menu, you never know what's on the menu but they usually have a few staples like their Brussel sprouts. As this was my boyfriend's first time here, we ordered the Brussell sprouts with popcorn and the Rigatoni. We were given the regular menu but did inquire about Happy Hour and the Brussel sprouts, pastas, and charcuterie board were on special. Unfortunately, they didn't have any oysters available that day. Small cozy atmosphere with a cute front porch. It's a small bar and kitchen that you can see and wonderful that you see and hear all the food being freshly made to order. Our server was friendly, chatty, and attentive but also gave us our space too. The Brussel sprouts served with cheddar popcorn, grapes, and ripped beer cheese is a bit salty, sweet, and so satisfying! My partner doesn't love Brussel sprouts but really enjoyed this dish. The Rigatoni was a bit rich with a nettle became sauce but served with the earthy lily spears, it was a well rounded dish altogether that we also enjoyed. Cute restaurant on the Downtown main strip that isn't a major chain, which is refreshing. Will continue to visit next time in town and hopefully they will have oysters then!

Our servers on both occasions were highlights, attentive yet also leaving us be. Last night it was just K and I and the previous visit there were five of us outside on the patio. The space is nicely decorated but has no real charm or ambiance, which is understandable in a big hotel. The menu is extensive enough that you should be able to find something to meet the needs of your palate while here, but there are many choices within walking distance that may be a better choice of you are looking for a specific culinary experience. If you don't want to leave the hotel, you shouldn't be disappointed with your choice. Our food while not amazing during each visit was solid, and well presented. It might be a little on the higher end cost wise, but what isn't these days. We don't eat red meat, but that certainly didn't limit our choices. We started with the Chili Shrimp Dumplings, Scallop & Prawn Ceviche, and the Family Milk Bread. Every dish was outstanding. In fact, we wished we'd ordered our own portions! The milk bread was so good we immediately ordered another. Served steaming hot as a freshly baked pull-apart loaf, it was perfect for soaking up every last drop of the incredible sauces. For our entrées, my husband ordered the Ginger Scallion Crab Bowl, generously filled with crab and perfectly cooked noodles. I had the Roasted Sesame Salad with scallion chicken and crispy fried tofu. We sampled each other's dishes, but this was one of those rare occasions where my husband couldn't get enough of his own! I couldn't blame him because mine was every bit as delicious. We were too full for dessert, so we took the tiramisu home to enjoy later. The bar menu also deserves special mention. I ordered the Full Moon Party, a creative twist on a Lemon Drop topped with a light, fluffy lemon foam. It was as beautiful as it was delicious. Watching the bartender create other cocktails convinced me we'll be back to explore more of the menu. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the service. Our server, Svetlana, treated us like royalty and genuinely cared about making our anniversary special. The entire team worked seamlessly together, always smiling and happy to help. Kin & Folk has officially become our favourite restaurant, and we'll definitely be bringing our own kin and folk there in the future. With several beverages, multiple appetizers, generous entrées, and dessert, our bill before tip was about $100 per person. For food and service of this calibre, it was excellent value and made for an unforgettable anniversary celebration. Highly recommended!

The other main we tried was the ginger scallion crab, which was Italian inspired but with Asian ingredients, such as black bean paste, a lovely dish. The portions were huge, so consider sharing. The tiramisu was also very. We highly recommend this spot and will return when back in town.
