This was one of the few eateries in the Resorts Worlds casino that was open during a big snowstorm. It's a casual, diner-style option that offers decent food with hardworking service. On the day we visited, it seemed the staff was stretched thin to a skeleton crew that was able to make it through the snow. I was grateful for our hardworking waitress who seemed to be the only server in the spacious dining room. My husband and I both ordered burgers and we both found them decent. I appreciated that the fries were freshly hot. The Bistro Waldorf salad was also fine. The halved grapes and light smattering of dried fruits and nuts made for a lovely shareable salad. Service-it took our server 15 minutes to take our order. When he finally came he started making excuses about a busy table. Don't care-take my order. This is the issue with the gratuity being automatically included; they don't have to really work for it. Food - very, very unimpressive and just meh. Oh jezzzz don't even know where to start ... was there on Saturday night , the place we originally wanted to go was a cross from the casino and it was to cold to just walk there so we settled for this place .. I had 2 beers and they weren't cold , than ordered a fig prosciutto flat bread and that was really good , however my pineapple rice tasted more like red and green peppers rice , there was so much in it that you could barely taste the rice . My boyfriend ordered a side of rice pilaf and the bartender told us they didn't have that even tho is was on the menu , so after we showed her on the menu she says oh yeah , I forgot that was there . Once the food was served he ended up with white rice that had peas and carrots in it , that was absolutely NOT RICE PILAF . Not to mention the food was cold by the time it was served . I also felt a little rushed , like we had to order stuff fast . Couldn't even enjoy our beer for 5 minutes . And to top it off the top is already included on the bill . Great diner with fun decor. Had a lovely meal here on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was a bit busy but the service was great, and the food was wonderful and came out quickly. Everything was exactly as we ordered it. They have actual vegan options that aren't just plant-based meat substitutes or salads, my mother-in-law had the beet poke bowl and it was great. My husband and I split the bacon jam burger, the buffalo wrap, and the French dip quesadilla (we had tons of leftovers) and everything was delicious. The bacon jam is out of this world and the quesadilla is a really fun twist on a basic diner dish. The portions are extremely generous. Price is what you'd expect from a casino restaurant. I liked the ambiance though I didn't much care for Fox News streaming next to my head, but I understand they have to cater to their customer base. The bathrooms were very clean as well. I was surprised to see so many low ratings for this place after enjoying such a nice meal there. It's true that they don't "warn" you about the 20% gratuity but we always tip at least 20% anyway so for us it wasn't a big deal at all. This also isn't unusual for casino restaurants or places that generally welcome a lot of tourists (there were several tour buses there the day we went). Cultural customs vary and restaurant workers shouldn't have to suffer for it. Still, I think management could avoid some of these negative reviews by printing a notice somewhere. Overall, I highly recommend this place. There aren't many restaurants in the area offering this much variety. We'll definitely be back. read more

Every time we go to resorts we always eat breakfast at 24/7 Bistro it's like our little tradition. We absolutely love this place , it's like a modern old fashioned dinner that has the basics as well as up scale meals . We typically order the breakfast sample meal which is eggs, toast , a side of bacon or any other meat and home fries . It's usually more then enough food where you leave left overs that's how much there is . It's always good and the price is extremely reasonable. I've worked in the restaurant industry for about 10 years of my life. So I know how this goes, and Ive never yelped a bad review before but here goes. I came down to 24/7 bistro to grab some food before heading out for the day. I waited up front for about 5 minutes until someone finally came over. There seemed to be 5-10 empty or dirty tables but the wait was 20 minutes. Okay maybe they were just recovering from a rush. I sat at the bar. I waited 5 minutes for anyone to acknowledge me and then was asked "do you need a menu ma'am'?" OBVIOUSLY I need a menu. I'm sitting at the bar waiting and I have no menu in front of me. Also, don't ma'am me, lady. This isn't the south it's not like your practicing good manners, also you're about 30 years my senior. I waited another 10 minutes to be asked if I was ready to order. Not if I had questions not if I needed a drink, not given a glass of water. No smile. She took my order and the food was delivered by an adorable older gentleman that was probably a bar back/ food runner. The surly bartender never checked on me once but walked by me about 20 times. I thought it was just her natural demeanor but when an older couple came in she couldn't be nicer to them. Not sure why she chose to be so rude to me, but it is upstate NY.... Like I said I worked in the restaurant industry for about 10 years so it pained me to leave 15% but she didn't even deserve that. This place is ridiculous, overpriced food and sub par at best. The waitresses look like they couldn't care less about being there. I guess because a 20% tip is automatically applied to your bill so why do anything extra. Since everything was overpriced as it was I asked how much sodas were and the waitress told us they were $3 - she brings the soda's with one not exactly full- we get the bill and of course the soda was $4. Skip this place. We were seated relatively quickly on a Sunday night after a show (about a 15 minute wait for a party of 4). The server came quickly to get a drink order. It was nice of them to let me sit down without the other three people in my party, but they joined the table within 5 minutes. We ordered a cheeseburger, salmon entree, waffles, a soda and a coffee. It took a LONG time to get everything and the server did apologize. The coffee and soda never came before or with the food and we had to ask multiple times for it. They finally came towards the end of the meal. My water also had some kind of white debris in it (which I just shrugged off, it happens). The food itself was god awful. The waffles looked so sad and the sesame crust on the salmon was completely burned. My husband didn't want to complain and tried to eat it, but just couldn't get through it. The burnt taste was in the entire salmon. I let the server know and she said she would alert the manager. She never returned. We were tired, waited so long and just wanted to get out of there by that point. We put cash down and just left. So from looking at the other reviews I'm very happy that we did not stick around to order, so this review is strictly on service, or lack thereof. We walked in to the restaurant on a Saturday night because the steak house around the corner was getting ready to close. We were staying at the water resort nearby. It was my birthday so we were looking to have a nice meal. We were a party of 6. The restaurant was not busy with more than half the tables empty. And the woman in front of us was seated immediately. We were told it would be a 20 minute wait but we could sit in the middle of the restaurant as we wait. I eyed an open table with seating for 6 in an area of the restaurant that was still open. But that wasn't our destination. Instead we stopped at the couches. We sat on their comfy couches. In fact the couches were the reason that the one star was earned and I did not insist on zero stars. We sat for about 10 minutes. I watched as the manager swept up the restaurant. The wait staff inefficiently bussed tables. The hostess just stood at the podium. I noticed 3 other people around us get seated with no issue. At this point, I decided that we were leaving. I just could not comprehend why the restaurant was essentially empty and staff is cleaning instead of attending to patrons. The manager tried to tell me that we were about to get seated. I said where. At the table that has been ready since we got here. He indicated that they do that in order to provide us better service. That's not how I see it. Better service would have been sitting us at the table that was ready when we got there. Giving us menus to review and water to drink. Considering there were at least 3 staff members (including himself) that could have easily accomplished this task it did not make sense to have us wait. If this establishment wants to stay in business they will need to change their perception of customers. It would have taken no extra energy to seat us at a table and give us menus. By the time the waitress went to ask if we wanted something to drink we were already ready to order our meal. The waitress was nice but considering there were a total of 6 tables occupied with 3 waitresses. I don't understand why our service was so slow. I ordered the gyro and my fiancé ordered the Reuben. The gyro was good. The Reuben was ok. Nothing too spectacular. We also ordered the boozy milkshakes. Those were pretty awesome. I ordered the caramel waffle and he ordered the coffee Jameson one. They were super sweet and the right amount of booze. After we were done our plates were just sitting there in front of us, again keep in mind that it was 3 servers for 6 tables. All the staff was just talking with each other. I'm not saying that they have to be on top of us but they should limit the talking if the paying customers are not getting serviced. Overall it was ok. I came here with friends for the first time. This restaurant does not give enough food for the money. The $30 butter chicken entree had one chicken thigh, three small pieces of cauliflower, three mini pieces of naan and a mountain of white rice that was not disclosed on the menu. The cost of the ingredients couldn't have been more than $1-2. The mandatory minimum 20% gratuity is presumptuous. A group of 10 of us decided to have dinner here since we were staying nearby at the Kartrite Resort and Waterpark with our children and wanted to see the Casino plus have a Moderate dinner. Upon arrival we were asked how many in our party & asked to wait a few minutes. The place seemed to be pretty empty however; our waitress was pretty nice and immediately gave us menus plus took our drink order. The menu seemed pretty limited however; we were all able to order something. Most of us enjoyed / ate our meals expect our nephew whom ordered the Rib Eye ( he stated it was missing flavor plus it was really gummy ... my husband whom is a meat eater had a piece and said it wasn't as good). My niece ordered the Vegan Ravioli and said it was ok; I had a piece and thought it was ok very flavorful. My husband along with my Mother, other nephew, daughter and myself played it safe and ordered chicken wings, chicken sandwich and chicken tenders since the menu seemed so limited we went with something we know and that is often pretty difficult to mess up at most restaurants:) read more

I came to this place last night. Why was the hostess looking at me like I had three heads when I told her I was there to place a takeout order? No one was available until someone came running in. I ordered tenders which did not come with fries so I paid a whopping $22 for tenders and fries. We bit into gristle and the tenders were not thoroughly cooked. Do not waste time coming to this place. The food was trash. Even worse was customer service. Learn how to greet guests when they enter. The hostess with the limp just stared and looked like she was confused as to why I was there. I understand word got out that the Casino/Hotel is under bankruptcy but now I see why I could understand service being bad when they first opened and are trying to get everyone trained and up to speed. After a year being open my group got hungry after an evening of gambling so the group decided to eat here. The service seemed fine but one of the orders came out came as a crab roll with mold on the roll. I understand the under paid staff are just doing a job for a paycheck, I want to blame the management for not keeping an eye on the quality of food going out, then the Sullivan County Health Department for not putting Letter Grades in the windows like they do in any major cities. This is really the only game in town here as there is not many food options. Hopefully as the casino grows the food choices will grow. Ok so we came here for a late night bite after a night out in the casino. We decided to sit at the bar where the seats are unusually far away from each other and bolted to the floor. Very odd... but anyway i ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. No joke, it took a good 45 minutes for it to come out and the place wasn't even that busy!!! The fries were rubbery and cold. The sandwich was bland. The portion size was good though. Let's face it, there aren't many choices for late night bites at Resorts so beggars can't be choosers. My group was hesitant because some have been here before and had horrible service, but regardless, we gave it a shot. For a Friday night with a large group, we were sat almost immediately. We ordered a few french onion soups to start and they came out quite quickly as well, which we were surprised as previous visits the service had been sub-par at best. The soups were extremely hot, but I'd rather have hot soup than cold soup, so no complaints here. The entrees were ordered and still came within a reasonable time. I got the buffalo chicken quesadilla and split it with another member of my group who also got the gyro fries. The fries were pretty generic - nothing too crazy, but the concept of a gyro over fries was brilliant. Though there was no feta cheese - the dish was delicious and it just worked. The buffalo chicken quesadilla was cooked nicely, not too crispy but not falling apart. They give you a side of ranch to dip in and it was very tasty. Our waitress was extremely attentive and came back to check on us at all the right times. Sad they have such horrible reviews, but hopefully they hire more waitresses lime the one we had. We stayed at the resort for 5 days and this restaurant was the best part of our stay. Besides the food being amazing the customer service was outstanding. Every person made sure we were comfortable and taken care of. The space was covid friendly. Every table is spread out so it's socially distanced and everything is sanitized appropriately. Everything closes at 10pm so this place will leave full and satisfied until the morning. The drinks were overpriced but the food is definitely worth the money. We went for breakfast and dinner everyday and it was worth it. Saturdays are busy so make sure to make a reservation but if you don't it's only about a 10min wait. There have been many historic quests during the course​ of human history. There was the quest for fire, the Holy Grail, a cure for cancer...etc. However,​ I could see that the most daunting quest for me this month will be the quest to find something positive about the Resorts World Casino in Monticello​ NY. My tolerance​ for substandard 'normal' cuisine​ in life is being surly tested every time I step out of my home. I'm not demanding, like most people, I let things​ slide while patronizing an eatery of any sorts. I understand the occasional short staff, slovenly waiter/waitress, the cold cup of coffee, the dirty utensil​ or rude staff member if they are singular​ in nature. These are annoying, but if the food is good, the price​ reasonable and my fare is served quickly... I'll let things slide without mention. Although my jocular approach​ to this review is purposeful​ in nature, I can assure you that jocularity can only be used to soften what I'm about to say about this place. I was one of a party of 7. We were all adults​ in the 50-60 age group and all completely aware of what constitutes acceptable eatery standards. None of us are arrogant​ no​r snobish and can feal at home eating in any place from Burger King to a fancy 5 star Resturant. We arrived at the 24/7 at 6:20 PM (1820 hours) and were seeking a simple quick meal in the Diner before going into the casino. Now let me draw a visual in your minds. The room is decorated in some kind of Asian​/modern/futuristic​/retro 60's eclectic​ hodgepodge​... you know the kind of decore where some millennial​ was trying to be cutting 'edge' and creative and only managed to be cutting​ 'wrist' and confusing​. Now the decor has nothing to do with the food or service, however, it is mentioned only because the putrid​ interior of this place was its ​most redeeming​​ factor. The Diner​ was about 20% full when we arrived and the maître d' seemed to be somewhat perplexed as to where she could seat us. There were​ only about 20 tables to choose from and without her leggo land floor plan she was simply a flutter as to a solution. Alas,​ the suggestion to actually​ move 3 small tables a total of 20 inches together​​ and make one big table seemed to solve the problem. Things were starting to roll downhill​ from here. Paragraph #3,...Now came the wait for 7 menus​ to review and make our choices. Perhaps we were supposed to use the buddy system to make a selection. It really didn't matter since four of us were ordering simple hamburger​s, one salad and one order of crab cakes. After about 5 minutes​ the waitress returned to our table with the additional 3 menus​. This was an impressive task due to the distance she had to travel. She was able to cover the 10 steps from our table to the podium​ where the menus​ were sitting in less than 10 minutes​. ​Now came the wait for beverages, one coffee, water, ​and a few soft drinks​. Most of them arrived within the gestation period of a butterfly. I say most because...yup you got it...there were two beverages missing. Undaunted and determined to see this through, the crew stuck together​ and concentrated on individual conversations to offset the approaching​ storm. The order...uhh, After ordering 5 hamburgers, one salad and a platter of crab cakes, the kitchen staffs herculean​ task of preparation​ begun. You might think I'm out of my mind... the preparation​ of burgers a salad and crab cakes is one of​​ monumental​ proportions​ so why should I expect this order to be filled in any less time then took NASA to reach the moon. I'm insane​! The only thing that offset the wait was the presence of a novel available for viewing​. After each member of our party read War and Peace cover to cover our orders arrived. At this point in my thesis,​ I will point out that my arugula​ and chicken salade was excellent. Other than myself I waited for any positive feedback​ by the assemblage​ at the table, a response​ that I've still yet to have recieved. There is an old adage in the ​entertainment field that goes like this, 'Always leave them​ wanting more', It is apparent​ that the 24/7 Diner adheres​s to the same, 'Always leave them wanting more....service, food, brevity​' I have to stop at this point, I can't continue... My fingers have grown fatigued and the tears of disappointment​ are flooding my keyboard. Perhaps if I put this review into a more concise frame of reference. I would rather​ have walked over broken glass​ with bare feet followed by a stroll​ over a field of salt then to at any time in my life return to the 24/7 Diner for anything short of a closing ceremony​. read more
