Awesome French onion soup and wings were very good
Jerry C.

The French onion soup was really good and not too salty, which a lot of people screw that up. The bartender was polite and fast The chicken wings were really really good also

I went to Dutch's tavern prior to going to Bethel Woods to look at their Halloween display. I couldn't believe how loud it was in there. I know it's a bar but the restaurant part was on the other side of the building. In my opinion they should have a partition or wall separating the bar from the restaurant. I will definitely be back though because the food was delicious!!!

This came home after I filled my tummy!

My husband and I stumbled upon Dutch's. We were very surprised and pleased. The Sunday brunch menu was being offered along with their regular. I had the Dutch breakfast burrito and my husband had an omelette. The coffee was fresh and hot! The flavor and portions of our food were spot on. The breakfast sausage was delicious. Our server was attentive with an engaging smile. Don't expect much ambiance ... it's an old tavern, however the charm is just that.

Little local spot, and reads local upon pulling up - and that was exactly perfect. Open seating and large bar. Pool table. Electric wall darts game. Clean bathroom. Good service. I didn't eat but the burgers and sandwiches looked good. Good selection of beers, including a few local options. For what we were looking for, it was exactly right.

If you've ever had to vacate the Airbnb house you're renting nearby for a while because the owner was coming by and you didn't want her to realize there were 41 dudes raging for a bachelor party at her house that sleeps 12 (we've all been there, right?)... ...Dutch's Tavern is a solid place to hole up for a couple hours. They've got Guinness on tap, a sympathetic bartender, and ostensibly famous wings. I'd actually eaten nothing but meat for two days (including ribs and a burger for breakfast), so I tried to find some vegetables on the menu. The best they've got is deep-fried brussels sprouts covered in bleu cheese and sriracha, and a Caesar salad...and they were fine.

Not the best for you, and the highway is just a few feet behind those two cars.

I am from out of town, I needed a break from my drive and some food. So I parked and walked in the door. The menu is large so I decided to stay, there is a good bathroom, always a plus. I was able to order vegetarian items, which makes me happy. I don't understand how people can eat animals without even paying it any mind. They brought me my food outside, and they were very attentive while I was dining. The veggie burger and house salad were excellent. The brussels sprouts were also very good. The unsweetened iced tea was lovely. The eating section outside is fine, although I did notice some other tables did not look level. When I was done, there was nobody around to check up on me, so after a couple of minutes, I left a generous tip and headed to my car. Next thing I know, Woman is banging on my window, and when I rolled it down she said: "you need to go inside and pay." I told her I left the money outside, and she got very apologetic. She said that happens a lot. Oh well, could have been five stars.

Veggie Wrap

Ordered the Grilled Veggie wrap today. It's supposed to be grilled vegetables with balsamic and pesto mayo. It's mostly lettuce with some oily chopped peppers, onions and mushrooms. No Balsamic or pesto mayo. Very disappointed.

The pretzel was amazing, so were the sliders. If I'm in the area will definitely return. Very convenient, right off the highway.

So, here we are after a few rounds of trivia (which was the best part of the dining experience). I ordered two apps, pretzels and Philly cheese steak rolls. You can't mess those up, right?! Our food arrived and my Philly rolls look like they were cooked last week. I bit into one of them and it tasted like it was cooked last week. I moved on to the pretzels, WOW, I don't know how a pretzel could taste like it was a month old. The honey mustard nor the salt covered up the stale taste. We told our waiter about the food. He seemed to get upset as if he had cooked the food himself. He asked with an attitude, "would you like to talk to my manager?!" I replied, "sure, I would like to tell him about the food." Our waiter walked over to the manager, Chez and told him he wanted to speak with him. The manager, Chez has literally been talking with two people for over 20 mins (they seem to be friendly). He clearly has no desire to discuss how we felt about the food here. I'm pretty sure he is avoiding us bc he doesn't want to talk about this crap they call food! So, I will gladly tell people to avoid this place like the plague. I wouldn't eat here if they offerred me free food for the rest of my life. The food and unprofessionalism of the staff will be enough to close this place soon.

This is a classic example of "Don't judge a book by its cover"! We walked into this hidden gem and…read morewasn't sure what to make of it. 5 tables, and an empty pastry case, certainly didn't spell "amazing" for what I'm used to. The woman that greeted us, wasn't sure what to make of us either, asking if "we were just looking around". My wife would have walked out right there. I had a good vibe, so we stayed. We looked at the menu, and there were a ton of choices, and all of which looked and sounded great. The "hostess" was the owner, and chef. Being from the city, she was ready to go. She explained that all of the ingredients were fresh, never frozen. Meat ground daily on premise, and all fresh breads. My wife ordered the caprese chicken sandwich, my daughter got the 8oz cheese burger with fresh cut fries, my youngest got the homemade Mac & cheese, and I told her "dealers choice". She made me the "moms burger" with thick applewood bacon, cheese, fried egg and bbq sauce on a 12oz burger. I'll just say what my middle daughter said "that was the best burger I have ever had"! She ate this entire monster burger, and all her fries. My wife's chicken sandwich was huge, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection and super juicy! My little ones Mac and cheese was baked and was creamy and the perfect blend of cheeses with a nice crust on top! My burger was out of control. Delicious, juicy, cooked medium rare and the bread was fresh and crispy outside, soft brioche inside. All in all, it was a great dining experience. We were the first customer she had that day, but, another couple came in with the same skepticism as I did, and she was genuinely impressed when they saw our food come out, and they stayed. I couldn't recommend this restaurant anymore than I am. This chef, shouldn't be in a town of 50, but in an Uber trendy downtown gastro pub! Hats off to the mom of two great kids (doing their thing in the back of the restaurant and not at all annoying, perfectly fine by these parents that get to see their mom working hard and chasing her dream!). If you're passing through, going to resort world, or just want to take a drive, you won't be disappointed!

The burger was massive, delicious and cooked medium rare as I'd ordered it. The fries were tasty, too. The cookies though - if you love super soft and rich cookies you will love these! So buttery and warm, and the pecan cookie was loaded with nuts. The owner (or chef?) explained everything is cooked to order - even those yummy cookies. I was very happy with my meal and will return!
