There was one lady ordering two sandwiches in front of us. After she ordered and moved over to pay, we were still standing there and no one even looked at us. After the other woman paid, two people were preparing her food while an older gentleman was prepping dough for making pizza. For another five minutes, no one said a word to us as we stood right in front the counter where it says "order here". Finally, we walked away and left. There 3 people behind us, also waiting. How do you not at least acknowledge we are there to spend money at your business? Unbelievable, such bad customer service and bad atmosphere where the two employees at the counter had looks on their face like they didn't want to be there. We have ordered from there before and the was a very nice Italian-American woman who used to be there that was so nice and friendly. We ended going to Colosseo which was excellent and the service was amazing.

The guy behind the counter (Ago) was super sweet, chatted with us for a minute and recommended some of his favorites. Coffee was solid too, nothing fancy but exactly what you want with a fresh donut. Place itself is small and kinda no frills but that's part of the charm honestly. It's the type of local spot you wish was in your own neighborhood. We ended up going back the next morning before we drove home lol. If your anywhere near Monticello just do yourself a favor and go. You wont regret it.

The kids loved getting ice cream for dessert. The staff were friendly and welcoming. It's a pleasure when you are greeted by a staff who is genuinely happy to be there and interacting with guests. We ended up going back two more times during our short stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone local, and especially to anyone looking to escape the horrors of the Kartrite resort food.
