I am a retired Interior Designer from Star Furniture for 30+ years and have used Texas Carpet…read moreDirect for three different homes. The name sounds like a warehouse but it is far from that. It is owned and operated by Kenny Smith and his wife. One of his projects he loved was remodeling a historic Galveston Home. So, Kenny has a well-rounded knowledge which makes his expertise invaluable. He can visualize the big picture. A great example...My last project was for a resale condo that totally needed to be done and I was 1000 miles away. I trusted his taste to let him make the selections that would blend with my existing bathroom tile. I suggested a laminate all over but the unlevel condo cost was moving out of my budget and then hit with the news the kitchen tile needed to be replaced too. Kenny stepped up and suggested switching to a vinyl plank that can go into the kitchen, dining and living room cost effectively. Then switch to carpet for the bedrooms to avoid cost of leveling that area. He was so patient and sincerely wanted to help me through this process and saved me $1000. People like this are hard to find. Now for quality of work it is excellent for all my projects! I fussed about all the leveling and he told me it is very important; it needs to be done. Then addressed my objection saying we can skip the bedrooms, if we use carpet. Bingo! Thank you! All three jobs turned out beautifully. I would highly recommend Kenny and Texas Carpet Direct for Quality, Trustworthiness and invaluable idea source knowing he carries much more than just Carpet.

I can't say good enough things about Lakeside Floors. First they put wood laminate in about half…read moreour home (about 1,100 sq. ft.) and they did an excellent job. I have a lot of antiques (with original mirrors) and they handled everything carefully. No nicks or scratches in anything. The workers showed up on time every day (originally 4-day job), they were courteous, helpful and friendly. Very hard workers in 90 degree temperatures; they finished the job 1-day early. Excellent! The second job was carpet in about a 500 sq. ft. area. The fellows showed up as scheduled. They were pleasant, clean, careful with my antiques. They completed the job in 3.5 hours, and the carpet looks fabulous. On both jobs the crews moved all the large pieces of furniture for us w/o one complaint. We now need carpet in another area of the house and we definitely have plans to call them...in fact, they've clued us in on a manufacturer's sale in the fall so we can take full advantage of a great discount. Lakeside's prices are quite reasonable. We got other bids on the laminate and Lakeside was $1K lower than the others. Initially we thought they'd be higher because they're a small, local, family owned company but that was not the case. You'll be nothing but glad if you use Lakeside Floors! Cindy B. Kingwood, TX

As always, he came through as promised and was able to move up the installation date of our flooring by a week on a moment's notice when time opened up for us! His team was very professional and detailed in their installation of our wood flooring and as before it turned out beautifully. I cannot say enough about how pleased we are about the completed floors and if we had more floors to be done they would be done without hesitation by Mr. Hank and his fantastic, attention-to-detail crew. They are all perfectionists and take pride in the work that they do.

Excellent quality, price, installation and good service. A++ business…read more I paid $4300 for 1,404 sq ft. of one of the best carpets he carries. I am very happy with my results. Hank was great to work with. Not a pushy salesperson and (most importantly) delivered! His install crew, led by Eduardo, are real pros and super clean. They worked 11a to 9p! I have white walls that stain just by breathing heavily on them. Eduardo's crew did all that work and left only one small smudge. He offered to touch up, but I declined. I expected worse. If you are in Spring, Magnolia, etc, I def. recommend giving Hank a call before you purchase. We were about to pay 20% more. The only minus is Hank never inspected the installation job. But that's fine by me. It's been 4 weeks and carpet still looks new.

I'd work with them again and I would recommend them to anyone. They were patient with me in explaining things as I don't have knowledge and expertise in this area. Also, Chic is less expensive than the other guys I talked to where I had to go and find my own flooring (they would pick it up), charge me for the disposal of the old and the follow-up guarantee, warranty was highly supect.
