I had a prepaid membership with The camp transformation Gilbert and moved to Clearwater Florida. They also have a camp here do I asked to have my remaining membership transferred to Clearwater. I have followed up repeatedly on this for the last two months with the Gilbert Camp, the camp headquarters in California and the owner Gia. All I get is will get it taken care of, all the checks in the mail, etc. etc. etc. but it never happens. I would like to share my awesome journey I had with the AFF family. I began my journey 6 weeks ago taking on the the 6 week challenge to lose 20 lbs. Let me just say this is something I've never done or challenged myself to do. I was inspired by my buddy Devon to see his amazing transformation and I told myself if he can do I can too! Louis (a trainer at the gym as well as my co-worker) wrangled me up to sign up for the hard body challenge (lose 5% body fat in 6 weeks). I just fully committed to the challenge; keep in mind 5 pushups was out of the question for me; changed my diet and stuck to the diet 95% of the 6 weeks. What I love about the gym is all the people I met and worked out with; aka the AFF (all fit family) who helped pushed me throughout the challenge as well as learn different workouts and do them properly. Lastly the trainers go me hyped and motivated; as well as kept me on the path through positive reinforcement that I was doing everything I could do to hit the goal. Luis G TC, Woody, Bailey TC, and Kat Fit Living were awesome instructors who had a great playlist that really sealed the deal. Also the mandatory homework meant 4-5 2 x a day every week. Now that I am taking a rest week; I am reflecting on the major diet change and will incorporate strength training in my cycling regiment. The 20 lb challenge definitely isn't just a spontaneous thing to do! It takes determination, hard work, and so much self discipline. You have to really want it. You have to know your "WHY". The meal plan provided is challenging- but it works. Get your mental game strong cause you'll need it! Again- IT WORKS. It's not a meal plan that I will keep to 100% long term, but it's definitely something that will help me get to my goal and still leave me in a position where I can maintain my weight instead of gain it all back and more like I experienced when I tried keto. I gained over 50 lbs after a car accident. I hurt a disc in my lower back which has greatly affected my balance and strength. The workouts are by far my favorite part. I love going to the gym and not having to worry about planning my workout. Every workout is different which makes it fun. The trainers always provide a modified workout to fit everyone's needs. They helped me focus on my lower back to make sure I didn't injure it further. I have loved getting into a routine of going to the gym everyday. I look forward to working out now, where I was too scared to work out for 3 years after my accident. I'm so grateful I was introduced to this gym. I was a little nervous but after my first class, I was hooked! I started by doing the 21 day challenge and then moving over to the 6 week challenge. I feel so much healthier and stronger. The staff is extremely encouraging and make you feel comfortable. What I love the most is the fact that you learn so much! After gaining a bunch of weight and getting comfortable in some pretty bad habits, I decided enough was enough. I had a friend that had told me about The Camp Transformation so I checked it out on Facebook and ended up signing up for their 6 week/20 pound weight loss challenge. I told myself even if I lost 10 pounds it would be worth it to me. I had become depressed and unhappy with myself. It's a strict program but it works!! Follow their instructions with the nutrition/meal plan and get to the workouts (30 workouts in 6 weeks). Anyone can do it. There are people of all sizes, shapes and fitness backgrounds. I have to repeat--follow their instructions and you will be successful! The trainers and staff are amazing. Everyone is so supportive and they want to help you succeed. The trainers and staff are very knowledgeable and mix up the workouts to keep it fun. They show you how to do the exercises in every class and they help if you need modifications for injuries or anything. I can't emphasize it enough that they want to see you succeed. There is always someone available to talk to if you have questions about workouts or what you should be eating or drinking. I ended up losing 23.8 pounds in my first challenge and I was so excited that I decided to do a second challenge. I lost 22.8 pounds in the second challenge. Yes, that's 46.6 pounds in 12 weeks! I have done several challenges in the past with a fantastic success rate. In the past two years I gain most of my weight back due to an accident that left me disabled in my left arm. Having tried several weight loss programs with minimal success, i decided to reach out to the camp again. I was concerned about the workouts due to limited use of my arm. To my surprise each and every trainer took the time to modify workouts each time I went in. They found the exact movement and muscle group I needed to strenghten using different excercises that I could do successfully. Each time I entered the building i was welcomed with warmth and love. My favorite part about this place is creating a workout family and whoever you are and wherever you are in your journey this place is for everyone !!! 6 weeks ago I started the hardbody challenge at the Gilbert Camp TC. The energy and motivation all the trainers give is amazing. They truly love what they do and take the time to help with teaching you how to correct your form. I loved coming to the gym everyday never once did we have the same workout. On 7/19/19 I attended the programs Nutrition Seminar. In that seminar they discussed about meal prep, supplements, expectations, etc. They provided a lot of information within 2 1/2 hours. After the seminar I spoke to the program director and asked some questions about the supplements and nutrition plan since I had some concerns due to some medical issues that I am currently dealing with. The director was super understanding and asked me what medications I am currently taking. The director then advised me that they were safe to take and that they would just avoid taking the PM supplement. Since they seemed very knowledgeable I went ahead and purchased the supplement package and was extremely excited to seethe results. . Long story short, I recently had a really bad fall and ended up slicing my knees, dislocating my shoulder, and a slight fracture on my left foot. My Dr went from recommending rolling over to the next challenge, to now letting me know that I should NOT do the challenges at all until I get myself feeling better by doing some physical therapy and adjustments. I ended up reaching out via text to The Camp Transformation Center in Gilbert AZ. I let them know what was going on, and had let them know that I have all my documentations and doctors note requesting for me to be released from the challenge. I ended up asking for the deposit of $297.00 to be refunded since I was only able to do 1 day, and because I am currently disabled and can't physically do any type of workouts in the meantime. They informed me that I am not eligible for a refund due to attending the Nutrition Seminar but I can roll over to the next challenge or I can use the deposit towards a 1 year gym membership and the deposit would bring the membership down to $867 for a year. I pretty much explained to The Camp that I cannot do the challenges at all, and that also the nutrition plan does not work with the type of diet I am currently (stomach illness) on from my primary physician. I attempted to come to an agreement with the program and even said that I would still make the payments for the supplement package I purchased since I did receive the items. I asked if there was any other options and brought up reaching out to my bank for the refund. I let them know that I understand that they are holding members accountable, but I feel that since I physically cannot do the challenge and that is doctors orders, I would assume that they would be understanding of my situation and at least provide me with a partial refund. I texted them at 9:49 AM on 8/1/19 and they finally responded at 1:19 PM saying "Unfortunately based on the signed contract you are ineligible to receive a partial/full refund." I kept my contract and decided to look over it. The contract states that in the event of DISABILITY or death, or moving more than 25 miles from the nearest facility, I am eligible to cancel the signed contract. I informed the program how I felt that this was unfair and how it seemed like they cared more about keeping the money, and not for my physical well being. I texted them at 1:49 PM and still have not received a response back via text,phone call, or email. This experience changed my whole view in this damn program. What they do for people in helping them reach their weight loss goals is great! but in the event of a client being severely injured, they are not being understanding or supportive. I ended up reaching out to my bank and forwarding them all my documentation in hopes they will get me my refund. To everyone who is doing this challenge, My Venting/review is not to make the program look bad or to try and have them lose clients. This is simply to show that for anyone who may have or experiences a huge injury during the challenge, there is a possibility that you would receive this type of Customer Service. I also encourage everyone to really read over the contract and understand it 100%. At the end of the day this is a business, and it needs to run and make money. It just saddens me that I received the response and the reaction that I did. It had to take me to reach out to my bank and doctors office for assistance on this. I refuse to pay for something that I was not able to participate in. Especially if I HAD NO CHOICE. Last but not least, it is extremely unprofessional to not respond, or even attempt To reach out via phone call or email to have a more proper discussion vs just texting. Also for not answering the phone calls I've attempted to make. -Don't fell clients supplements are safe to take on top of any medications they are currently On. -follow up with individual clients if they written down health issues on the intake form -Be responsive and in a timely matter, especially when it comes to escalated situations. read more

I had a great experience at The Camp in Gilbert. I signed up for the 6 week challenge with the goal of losing 20 lbs in 6 weeks. I had to work out 30 times in the 6 weeks and eat from a limited meal plan. And you know what? I did it. I followed the instructions, worked out harder than I ever had, ate smart and lean and I met my goal! I lost 22.6 lbs in 6 weeks in the healthiest way possible. The workouts were tough, but fun. The instructors were positive and encouraged each challenger to push themselves harder and further each day. I had a few limitations and restrictions that could have hindered my workouts, but each instructor worked with me to provide modifications so I could still reach my goals. I just completed my first 20 lb challenge, and I was very happy with my experience at The Camp Transformation Center. The Camp has several things that make it as successful as it is. 1. The people. The trainers at the Camp are awesome and offer both unique and intense workouts for people at all levels of training. I love that each trainer brings a bit of their own background with them. This helps the workouts stay fresh/interesting 2. The structure. Being able to just walk into The Camp, and without thinking/planning a workout, you are pushed through a generally intense HIIT workout is awesome. One less thing to think about, and one less excuse to use to not make it to the gym. 3. The culture/atmosphere. One of the things that generally stresses people out about going to a new gym is the idea that they will not fit in or be embarrassed. The Camp is honestly one of the most inclusive and encouraging environments that I've experienced at a gym. 4. Accountability. This organization is kickin my butt!! That's what I need. A group of people to push me. The workouts are very hard but very fun. Everyone is super nice. I'm building relationships, friendships, etc. We all have the same goal. And because the atmosphere is positive, I keep wanting to come back. It's working. I'm losing weight and getting stronger. Sometimes I sleep late and can't work out early the next morning. But it's ok, they also have evening classes and Saturday classes. I come at least 4 times a week. And the prices are very good. Hello, I am very proud of my accomplishments to end the year. This last week camp was definitely harder because of the obstacles I had to overcome. It was a mixture of coming back from vacation, starting almost 2 weeks late, overcoming Thanksgiving, and then missing an entire week with the Flu. Here to work out from CA camp, no where online does it say about a late policy? They should make an exception because the maps had us go to the wrong building. Fix your address online. Your mistake! I arrived at 7:04 guy and manager (on call) made a big deal of there late policy -_- we don't know your policy's. Then he says no entry after 7:05 which would be at 7:06? (Now we have to wait an hour) We came to work out not be told we can't because of 4mins that turn to 10mins because of your hold up. At the end policies will be policies but at least have them stated online and fix your address online for the oficial "the camp website" - if you get lost Location is the next little plaza over. - bad customer service - not understanding - no late policy mentioned online read more

Very disappointing.... I came from California to Arizona for my graduation. I attempt to go workout which is very hard for me to do when out of town. And with little kids..... This place was 30 min from hotel, after a few wrong turns I made it to the camp at 6:06, stood Outside for few minutes as I was nervous and didn't see anyone in the room because they were in the back. The front said jess doesn't let people start late, I asked for an exception. I am from another state by this time it's 6:09 and when I spoke with trainer personally she said I couldn't workout with them I have to wait for 7. This is crazy!!!! Everyone was still warming up... I just wasted my time. I pay to be here... and the camp should be more encouraging then this. They don't work like this in California. read more

I have been both a year member and a 6 week Challenger. I enjoyed the classes as each day focuses on specific muscle groups. I was never bored. I participated in the hard body challenge for six weeks where you challenge yourself to lose 5% body fat. The program has a guided meal plan and suggested supplement use to help achieve the goal. The challenge was difficult for me because the required "homework" (weight lifting) left me exhausted. I took 2-3 hour nap daily which affected my job. I can see a difference in my appearance as I look more tone. Some things I do not prefer are the limited weigh ins. I'm a results driven person. The frequency of gym sanitatation specifically the cleaning of floor mats. The workout facility has no air conditioning. In Arizona during peak summer is dreadful. read more

I live in Illinois and my girlfriend lives in Arizona and I started a workout program and then we found the camp for her to start a program. During a visit I came down and did a work out with the camp and they were very inviting everyone was friendly and I had a great workout. My girlfriend goes Six days a week and is doing the 20 pound challenge.
