I was very impressed with the extensive gluten free options. In fact, when my wife saw the menu, she seemed more excited than she was on our wedding day. It was also nice to have the owner come by to let us know he to has a gluten allergy too so he understood my wife's concerns. Also the service was great and the atmosphere was very warm and inviting. Me and my friend love it here. We frequently come here for their amazing gluten free menu choices. One of my favorite parts is their gluten free fried ice cream. Waitstaff was very attentive can see somewhat of a wait on a busy night. read more

Pizza is amazing- especially the scallop and baon, and I love their spinach salad. Best chicken parm that I've had in a long time and their chowder is fabulous. Excellent drinks especially the margaritas. Small bar but very cozy. Service is great and the staff is consistent. read more

We had a great meal, @ a very reasonable price. I had the prime rib, and my husband had the seafood platter. Loved the spicy chicken wings, too. Portions were large, and both were delicious. Loved the dessert pizza ( banana, chocolate, hazelnut, strawberry!), and the cranberry-apple crisp. Service was friendly, atmosphere homey and comfortable. Can't wait to go back! read more

My wife and son-in-law had the pizza and both thought it was delicious. I had a bowl of the seafood chowder and it was outstanding, loaded with shrimp, lobster and scallops. My daughter had the coconut chicken finger special and was equally as pleased. read more

AMAZING!! I am both celiac and allergic to shellfish. This often makes my options very limited. The owner was so kind and helped me navigate the menu. He was able to clarify all my questions. This has had the most options available to me than I have had in a very long time. I had quite the meal and still have enough for dinner tomorrow night. I started with the potato slats then got the pineapple stir fry. I cannot stress enough how delicious these were. Then I got the apple cranberry crisp to go. I saved that for later. Let me tell you to be able to order an appetizer and a desert was so exciting. I will certainly be going back for more :)Scott ordered off the regular menu and for someone who hates leftovers and never takes them, he was quick to grab his. We went to The Cabin to just " try " it! Best decision we could have made! What a quaint, rustic, great place! The food is absoulutely delicious! Their fried clams and scallops were as good or better than Lobster Pot or Lobster Hut..hands down! Their French fries are amazing. The owner came to our table and genuinely wanted to know if we were satisfied and offered free refills. It's very very clean and decorated nicely. I remember coming here when it first opened with my family, and it was ok, or atleast I was young enough not to notice how not worth the money and aggravation it is to eat here. A previous reviewer said that it is the kind of place that 'Local's go when they go out. For me and my friends and family its that place you go to maybe once a year when you want to stay local, but don't want to repeat the last three places you went to and almost immediately upon arrival you remember why its been a year since you've been there. The place is tiny and is always busy, which is fine, however the staff has never figured out how to handle the crowd. Service is SLOOOOOOWWWWWW, they need at least one more server on during busy shifts than they usually staff, and the wait on service and on the arrival of your food is ridiculous. The sandwiches and entree salads aren't terrible but I think that they are over priced for the quality and extremely casual atmosphere. The pizza is also gross. It's gross cheese that gloms together and every time I eat my stomach and I have a severe fight. Skip this place, try Harrys, The Central, or Hideaway for similarly styled food with out the aggravation of being stuffed in a wooden box and dealing with crappy service. read more

I went here for dinner with my husband and our two children. The owner came over and was very nice, explained the menu and specials. It wasn't after he left that I realized that he had the entire conversation with just my husband, he didn't even look at me or say anything to me at all. I didn't think much of it at first, except that it kept happening - all friggin night. Even the visits asking "how is everything?" Was with hubby only, with eye contact with him only. No interaction with me, even as I studied his face. He didn't even turn my direction at all. Never asked how my dinner was, if I needed anything, or if I needed another drink. He couldn't turn my direction or even look me in the eye! I started to wonder if it was because he was abiding by some old school code where speaking to another man's wife was discouraged, but no, he was carrying on conversations with women at other tables. Was it because I was the only Asian person in the room (hubby is white)? Being from LA I forget what racism is like sometimes, but it is not always in your face or a direct confrontation. Sometimes it is a cold silent shoulder, or a refusal to acknowledge or regard the other person. Sometimes it is turning willful blind eye with a conscious determination to avoid interacting with her, even as you have to serve her food. The other servers were friendly and acknowledged my presence at the table. But the owner is an unfortunate relic of a time long since past, and his behavior barely deserves a star. read more

This is our first time ordering since the recent change in ownership. We have always been long time patrons so we had to check it out....First let's start with the positives: We like that there is now an extensive gluten free menu.... The pizza is still really good (we got the Reuben this time)... and the steak tips are still tender and flavorful.... Now for the negatives: We feel that logs shouldn't be blue (drive by and you will understand)... we decided to try the "dessert pizza" after reading another fellow yelp review- let us clear the air on this one- it looks like something that a four year old could have made in their easy bake oven. It was way over-priced ($8 for a small piece of flattened dough with nutella spread on top). Next, the new onion rings do not live up to the original they used to serve- too much breading and not light and crispy like they used to be. Last thing, be careful about pricing; we were charged more for one of our dinners than what was advertised on their new website. Overall, we will order again but no dessert this time......Oh Todd how we miss you!!!! read more

My wife and I really enjoyed our meals last night. We started with an order of onion rings. The order was huge and perfectly battered and cooked. They were served with a chipotle dipping sauce that was so good. The container of sauce could've been a little bigger since the mound of rings was so big. Next I tried the clam chowder. It was very good. My wife got surf and turf which was steak tips with peppers, onions, and mushrooms served with fried scallop. She said it was delicious. I got baked seafood trio which was haddock, shrimp and scallops. I got it with lobster Newburgh sauce. I was so good. The scallops were so sweet and perfectly cooked. Some of the best scallops I've ever had. The meals both came with moist delicious corn bread. We both had two drinks with our meals. I had red Sangria and she had mojitos. Really good and not overpriced. Appetizers, meals and drinks were $88 before tip. Very reasonable for the experience, flavor and quality. This is now one of my favorites after my first time. I heard this was a good place to go for a gluten free menu so decided to check it out. It was the rudest experience. I guess they cater to locals only. I checked the web site before heading over. It does not say reservations are recommended but since it was New Year's Eve I called anyway to check the hours and ask if there was a long wait and was told there was not by the person who answered. She did not recommend making a reservation when I was on the phone so I assumed they did not take reservations. It was early before the usual dinner rush so I thought even though it was New Year's Eve the rush would be later. We took a ride over and got there around 5:15. When we got there we were treated by a friendly waitress who asked if we had a reservation. I bit my tongue about the phone call and just said no rather than say we called and told there was not a wait. Ok, we are 25 minutes away so maybe it changed radically in that time. She said John would seat us. I assume he is the owner or manager. We waited, John was busy. We watched while John attended to one thing and then another and then another. When he comes over to us he is frustrated or irritated or some mood other than pleasant and he rants about being too busy and is we don't have a reservation he is not going to be able to seat us and all he can suggest is if we want we can sit at the bar. Gee, Sorry if you are frazzled about being busy. Usually that is a good thing for a restaurant. You need to handle it better. Don't take your frazzle out on potential customers and don't make me wait to unleash your frazzle. read more
