First time here. They mostly only have cold brew and I'm not a fan of cold brew. Maybe I should have tried a frapp or cappuccino. Maybe next time. So I got an iced cold brew with caramel and white chocolate. It was so sweet and had a weird taste that it could be medicine. Didn't like it at all. A hidden gem on the corner... right next door to Jamba Juice. ***The best local Cold Brews in town!*** They finally have their liquor license and now serving Coffee Coctails, Signature Coctails and Beers from Grand Canyon Brewing & Distillery. The coffee was pretty good and the muffin great, a little dry, which was fine bc it paired well with my coffee. I usually find decent coffee places have pastries that pair well with coffees and teas. I liked how the menu was simple and straight forward. Sometimes you just want a plain good ole fashion coffee, not some fancy 1/2 shot double shot 2 pump sprinkle of pixi dust type of beverage lol. Paid somewhere near 10 dollars for the "Billy" which was billed to me as a "protein smoothie". What I got instead was some barely cold watery slop that felt and tasted more like someone tried to shake up a banana into some watered down milk. What is this? A joke? Was iced used? Protein powder? For 9 AM, it definitely gave a bar kind of vibe with the remixed pop/hip pop music and really beautiful, but cold baristas that you would expect from a bar/club on Mill or in Old Town. I tried a vanilla oat milk latte, but it did not live up to my expectations. Unfortunately, the espresso was really weak and bland, the entire drink almost only tasting of oat milk and there was not a hint of vanilla. One of the absolute best coffee shops in the area. The cold brew is made right here in house in the back room. You would be hard pressed to find a better cold brew. They offer their own local roast coffee beans. They carry breakfast bagels for a quick bite as well as baked goods. The music is upbeat and not too loud allowing you to have a conversation. The staff is very attentive. They have a TV usually showing sports and will change the channel if you ask. They have a back "game room" area with shuffleboard, connect 4, and giant Jenga. They have your typical drinks and some specials they offer as well. I ordered the Cinnamon toast crunch and a snicker. The cinnamon toast crunch was blended, I added a shot of espresso and this drink was absolutely amazing! It was like having breakfast and coffee all in one go. The snickers had the right amount of sweetness that didn't overpower the cold brew mix. Price point is great and our barista was warm, welcoming and informative. Tried something new today and picked this coffee shop because it was close to where we were running errands. It had good reviews and a yelp discount, so we were pretty hopeful. It was packed when we got in but they move fast ! The gal was friendly and welcomes us and shared the customer faves. And that's exactly what we got. A Mojito Cold Brew and a Mayan Mocha Cold Brew. We were expecting more unique flavors and stronger coffee taste in our but it was just ok. The Mojito cold brew is cold brew with mint and agave syrup. I asked to have milk added but wasn't asked how much so maybe she put in too much because it really diluted the coffee. I knew the agave would make it sweet and I think I could have ask for less of the syrup. However I hardly noticed any minty taste, and at the end of my drink I noticed the mint used looked days old because it was wilted and darkened, which would explain the lack of minty-ness. I went back to ask for more mint and the gal was super nice to accommodate. It made a huge difference in the drink with more mint! The other drink Mayan Mocha was super sweet and we thought it tasted like a liquid version of Costco's coffee slush and chocolate milk. The chocolate syrup was squeezed on the side of the cup. It wasn't horrible but just lacked character. We prob wouldn't go there again as we mostly just wanted to try something out of the ordinary, but it was a fun experience! The staff were very friendly and the place has an interesting concept with coffee and cocktails. There was also something going on in back room - podcasting - beer brewing - don't know for sure but that seems cool but since it's Covid times we were surprised by this ! read more
