There are 8 comfortable stools at the bar and there are several lounge tables with chairs to match. The bar is a part of the hotel lobby and is void of any privacy partition. It's a great place to track guest movements because you have a perfect vantage point of the lobby elevators. Prices are average for the area. It's nice not having to pay $9 for a Chivas Regal on the rocks. And it's a decent place for a nightcap if you're already staying at the Hilton (or hope to stay in it...wink wink). After the club it's the hotel party...

The bar is 15 yards away from the hotel door and registration desk, with nothing in between. Who wants to see tired travelers hauling luggage? Put up a curtain or something. Crowd: Dismal. At 7:30, we were 2 of 4 people there. I can't imagine this place attracting much besides hotel guests. Food: Only appetizers. We got the white bean hummus, which was good, but not great. The sliders at another table looked very tasty. Value: Appetizers are $6. Drinks are cheap during happy hour (4-7), but expensive otherwise. Service: Excellent. They charged the wrong price for my beer, but they took it off completely when we mentioned the mistake. Miscellaneous: They have live music on Wednesdays, and the guy doing acoustic covers was actually quite talented. (No tip jar... Jack needs a manager.) They have a martini flight, so you can try 3 different martinis for $8 during HH. Verdict: I'd go back on a Wednesday to hear Jack and try the sliders, but let's just say this place isn't making it into my rotation.

The chicken parmesan was completely overcooked and dry with mushy bread crumb coating. The pizza crust was like cardboard. You are able to order food from the Crust Simply Italian restaurant menu and it gets served to you. We ordered the Spicy Garlic Knots and the Calabrian chili it comes with on the side was perfection for that kick spicy food lovers look for. The Margherita pizza tasted fresh, warm, crispy and I would order again. We came in on a Friday night (9pm), we were greeted and sat in a booth for four right away. It was busy, lively, loud, super dark and filled with eye catching artwork/photos. The only part I did not enjoy in my experience was our server. Our server provided us with subpar service because she would not let me finish my statement, would leave me mid-sentence, would forget to check in our table, once I paid she left quickly and didn't give me a chance to request my receipt on her handheld card reader. I would return for the drinks, food and hope the service from the server would improve.

Nestled in historic downtown Chandler, in the narrow sliver of Boston Street, the speak-easy themed cocktail bar and restaurant is located inside the former home of the Chandler Arizonan, the city's original hometown newspaper since 1912. With exposed brick walls and rich wood finishes, the historic site provides an upscale, contemporary urban and industrial-chic setting. After easily finding parking in walking distance from the entrance, we arrived shortly before midnight of the 7th. They were closing soon, but we had enough time to order a round of craftly-made cocktails and beers to down quickly. It helps when your friend knows the bartender. Enter smiley face emoji here. THE BRICKYARD DOWNTOWN is credited for the first place that I ever tried a CLOVER CLUB, a pink, frothy cocktail with fruity, citrusy, velvety qualities. I was instantly tickled pink, literally, by the nostalgic feel of the elegant concoction, topped with artfully designed egg white foam and served in a vintage-style champagne glass. What a beauty of a drink with a touch of class and sophistication! Almost made me want to throw on a flapper dress and dance the Charleston...until I realized the need to balance from the powerful punch in the serious drink. Fancy, stiff cocktails served at THE BRICKYARD DOWNTWON fo shizz. No complaints about that here! It's been a while since I visited Arizona. Maybe it's time to return. If/when I do, I will mos def drop by THE BRICKYARD DOWNTOWN again!

Wow when I ask for recommendations she had a list with details. I had a hibiscus basil lemonade it was perfect not too sweet. We had a Bbq shrimp wraps on a bed of slaw. It was very good. I had king power chicken w veggies it was really good fresh crunchy veggies. It wasn't spicy just full of flavor. My husband had a French Fip with fries. He loved the horseradish sauce and said it was a very tasty sandwich. He would definitely get it again. The fries were great . We will be back. Highly recommend all fresh food made there. Great service, fun Christmas decorations and clean !

I'm writing this review in the hope that it helps both the restaurant and future guests. We used to…read morecome to Thirsty Lion often when it first opened near us, but over time our visits became less frequent. Some of that was changing tastes, some boredom with the menu and atmosphere, and some inconsistency in service. We still stop in a few times a year to mix things up because the cocktails are usually very good. Tonight started with a 20-25 minute wait for a table, so we grabbed seats at the bar. Right away, there was a strong odor that came and went throughout the time we were sitting there. The best way I can describe it was a mix of manure and bleach. It was unpleasant enough that it distracted from the experience. I'm not sure what the source was, but it definitely seemed like something behind the bar needed attention. We ordered two cocktails and two appetizers. The Grapefruit Basil Martini and Strawberry Mezcal Margarita were both excellent--fresh, flavorful, and well balanced. Unfortunately, our appetizers still hadn't arrived by the time our table was ready about 30 minutes later, so they were brought to us after we were seated. The Spicy Shrimp Ceviche was pretty good overall, though a little sweeter than I prefer. The grilled artichokes, however, were a major disappointment. They appeared dry and overaged, and seemed like they had been cut in half and placed directly on the grill without being properly steamed first. The leaves were tough and hard to eat, even toward the center where they should be tender. The heart was crunchy like a raw carrot. If you know artichokes, you know this preparation missed the mark completely. Once seated, we ordered another round of drinks. They were out of strawberry purée, so I switched to a Blood Orange Margarita with mezcal instead of tequila and Tajín on the rim. Honestly, it may have been even better than the first drink. My wife ordered the Cucumber Rosemary Gin & Tonic, which was also refreshing and delicious. Later, I ordered the same blood orange margarita again, but was brought something closer to the strawberry version with blood orange substituted. Still good, just not what I ordered. Our server, Carissa, was friendly and kind, but she seemed stretched thin with too many tables. Overall, the night was average. For me, first impressions matter, and the odor at the bar set the tone in a negative way from the start. It didn't ruin the evening, but it felt like one disappointment led to another. That said, I still recommend Thirsty Lion for their cocktails, and the food is usually solid. I'm sharing this because I think with a little more attention to details--cleanliness, consistency, and kitchen execution--it could be a much better experience.
