I was really looking forward to eating their burgers, after reading glowing reviews stating that they had "the best burgers in town". I absolutely love burgers and a place specifically devoted to burgers sounded like a sure thing. When I went in, the staff was very friendly and helpful. After looking over their selections, I settled on the Bison Burger and a side of fries, to go. After waiting a reasonable amount of time, my order was brought to me and I went home. When I got home and opened the container, I was met with a pretty flat burger and a very small amount of skinny, greasy fries. This wouldn't have been so disappointing, but as fries do not come with burgers and they cost $1.99 to add to your order, you'd expect a pretty decent amount of fries. My order was over $12.00 and for $2.00 less, I can get a nice, fat burger, a lot of fries, AND a drink at places like Chili's, Applebees, and Lone Star. The value and quantity had disappointed, so now it was all up to taste. "Come on taste!", my brain was screaming, "Help save this future Yelp review from eternal damnation!" And so I bit in and...sigh. This was one of the most disappointing burgers I have ever eaten. It was as if the flavor had seen my mouth coming and immediately vacated the premises. I looked down at the fries which were bathing in a sea of wetness, looking up at me and saying, "Try us! We won't let you down! We're delicious!" Never trust talking fries. That's what my grandmother had always said. But she was crazy and no one ever believed her. Well, I'm here to say, "I'm sorry for doubting you, mimmaw." I hope you're here with me in spirit, reading this review as I type it. But if you are, please leave in about thirty minutes from now, because I have to "take care of business." So to sum it up, the price was high and the quality and quantity were low, the burger had less taste than a Kardashian, and the fries were so greasy and underwhelming, they reminded me of that a hole boyfriend character in Coming To America. "Just let your Soul Glo!" If you're under 30, you probably won't get the reference. But I'm not reviewing Coming To America, I'm reviewing The Burger Grind. Hey, maybe I messed up and ordered the most tasteless burger they had to offer. Again, I hated that the food was this disappointing, because the staff is friendly and it has a nice atmosphere in there. Giants spools to sit on and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. The burgers here are amazing! My husband and I have a "burger Friday" ritual, so we stopped by while on the road. I had the A-1 burger, my husband had the breakfast burger on cheddar jalapeño bun. Was looking for a great burger and I found my new place. I got the the 1/2 lb blue bomber on reg bun with curly fries. The bun was awesomely fresh, the burger was cooked to perfection, the blue cheese crumble and bacon was the right amount. Only complaint is the burger was supposed to have been Cajun seasoning and it didn't. The curly fries were cooked perfect and were seasoned great and was a large portion. Nice atmosphere except the floors were filthy, no chance of slipping and falling in this place as your feet stick to the floor and it was the entire floor from the ordering counter to the drink bar ,dining area, and waiting area. Was in town on a business trip & drove past this neat place on my way to an appointment. Saw all the cars out front and decided to stop in and see what it was all about. I was glad I did. I love finding locally owned restaurants to give them business. This one did not disappoint. Their burgers are extremely flavorful and there are plenty of options to top them with. This place has been open for about a week or two so this rating is based on what is likely just some operational kinks that will be worked out as their staff becomes more comfortable and trained. I went in for take out and chose the A-1 burger (grilled onions, mushrooms and A-1) then you opt for any of the standard lettuce, tomato, pickle, etc. I missed that this burger didn't automatically come with cheese, so I was a little bummed I forgot that. I also got a small order of fried mushrooms and onion rings. The mushrooms were pretty good, but they didn't come with any type of dipping sauce which kind of surprised me. The onion rings were the standout in my order. They were very large, fresh and extremely tasty. The order size is huge and definitely shareable. I feel like this place has potential, but it missed the mark for us. My sister and I went here with our boyfriends yesterday, waited over thirty minutes for a to-go order of four burgers, and then got home only to realize there were several mistakes. I placed my order first: a Texan burger and Philly burger with one order of onion rings, a medium drink, and a small drink. They don't have any meal options that include a side and drink, so prepare to pay for each individual item. Our total was a little over $20. To pay that much, I expect a certain level of quality--which we didn't get. The cashier guy was funny and courteous, but then waiting so long ruined any good mood he put us in. My sister's burgers with two sides came out after about 20 minutes, and then my boyfriend and I watched for another 10-15 minutes as other later-placed orders continued to come out of the kitchen instead of ours. We finally got ours after I complained. It came out almost immediately, like it had just been sitting on a counter and forgotten about all that time. Once we got home, we started to see the mistakes. I'll start with mine: my Philly burger had nearly no "Philly" to it. It's supposed to have sautéed bell peppers, onions, and cream cheese. There was some, but a very small amount. Then underneath my patty I found old-looking tomato, pickles, lettuce and chopped onions that I didn't ask for. I'm almost certain that this burger belonged to someone else, and then had my minuscule toppings added to the top part once I complained so I'd at least have something. I scraped all that mess off and then ate the burger, which I could tell would have been great if made correctly! The onion rings, although soggy from the wait, would have been awesome if fresh. The sauce they come with was super good, kind of like a cross between Cane's sauce and Zaxby's Zestable sauce. My boyfriend's burger was also disappointing. His patty was burnt--charred black, as if cooked in a big hurry, and he also didn't have much of his specialty toppings either. We both agreed that the onion buns were the best part--which I doubt they made. My sister's sesame bun was hard, like microwaved-bread-hard. They gave her that one for some reason instead of the jalapeño bun that she paid more for. The toppings on hers, which was supposed to be a Missing Link burger, was mainly just wayyy too much cheese and sriracha. That was "all she could taste." Her curly fries would have been good if not soggy, kind of like Arby's curly fries. The sweet potato fries were okay, but not salted or seasoned in any way. She's going to post a review on here too. I would possibly eat here again to give them a second chance, but only if we dine in. I think their to-go system is majorly flawed, and they will lose customers if they don't fix it! The best thing was the onion rings and the sauce that comes with them. As for the burgers, my sister and I brought our boyfriends here and none of us were impressed. Maybe we came on a bad day, I would be willing to try this place once more. I ordered the "Missing Link" burger on jalapeño bun, but I received it on a sesame bun that was so hard/stale. It felt like it had been microwaved -- not toasted. The meat was unseasoned, so the flavor came entirely from the melted pepper jack and the sriracha sauce. I also felt that my patty was a bit over cooked, it wasn't a big juicy burger like I was anticipating. I ordered sweet potato fries, they would have been better if they were salted and served to me before they got soggy. The other fried were good, a lot like Arby's. I don't remember what everyone else got, but each of us had multiple complaints and over all let downs with the food we ordered. My sister and her boyfriend ordered before I did, yet I got my food first as well as many other people. When we asked about it, the food came out almost instantly like it had been sitting in the back. I always go thru the drive thru due to a severe illness I have. I have no problem with the person on the phone WHO TOOK MY ORDER CORRECTLY.
