The food is SO good, and the staff makes you feel right at home. They're super friendly, cheerful, and welcoming! Kudos to Antonio, our guy, and Bento, the bartender! The Jumbo Crab Benedict is absolutely delicious, and the Sweet Potato Shishito Hash is so darn good! We'll definitely be coming back! According to Antonio, their Chilaquiles with Carnitas is something we must come back and try. So now we have another reason to return! Amazing food, amazing staff--but be warned: it's loud and packed! Still, totally pricey $86 breakfast for two but worth it!

I visited with a few friends (party of 5) on a Sunday morning at 10am and we only had to wait about 10-15 minutes for a table inside. The ambiance was very lively, and it was a great environment for us to hang and catch up. I ordered the chicken & waffles, which was quite good with fluffy waffles and juicy chicken. My husband got the breakfast burrito and while it looked amazing at first glance, it was severely lacking flavor and tasted like there was absolutely no salt...

It's tucked behind the buildings just off Saratoga's main strip. Trust Google Maps, head to the rear parking lot, and follow the sign through the alley to the restaurant. Dinner is prix fixe only -- $93 as of August 2026. We mentioned that we had plans afterward and just wanted a lighter dinner and some wine, and they were incredibly gracious about letting us split one prix fixe. Honestly, the portions still felt very generous, and we ended up spending about the same amount on wine anyway. The wine list is small but really thoughtfully curated, and they also allow you to bring your own bottle for a corkage fee. The standout for me was the Hokkaido scallop with crab and caramelized carrot. Genuinely one of the best dishes I've had in a long time. A couple of dishes were liberal with the finishing salt, but the flavors, seasoning, creativity, and technique were top tier. Everything is cooked to order by the chef, and it showed -- every course came out beautifully prepared and cooked to perfection. The whole place feels like a passion project. The chef has spent decades in the industry, including time in Shanghai and Hawaii, and it feels like he and his wife basically said, "This is what we do, this is the food we love -- let's make a place for it." And I love that. There are some rough edges that come with making the space work for them, but the things that actually matter -- food, service, organization, and cleanliness -- were excellent. Even the single restroom was very clean and well kept. It's a small, intimate space, so I definitely recommend making a reservation. That said, they seemed genuinely accommodating to everyone who came through and clearly care about making people feel welcome. More than anything, the restaurant just felt happy. Everyone around us was having a great time, people were ordering liberally from the wine list, and by the time we left around 7, it felt like a room full of people who understood exactly what this place is about. GOGA isn't trying to win you over with a bunch of empty promises and trendy decor. It's about really good food, wine, and hospitality from people who clearly care about what they're doing. I'd love to see the space evolve over time, but never at the expense of the food or the wonderfully unique experience they've created. We'll absolutely be back -- brunch is next.

We found GOGA on Yelp and it seemed like it had just the right vibe (a laid-back atmosphere with the meticulous and intentional attention to detail that only a master chef can bring to a meal). I'll start out with the good. We were seated quickly (as the first reservation of the evening should) and they offered us a burger and fries option for our small children; this is nice since kids are often too picky to appreciate the mixture of flavors/textures on offer. My six-year-old had the burger and he reported that it was good (with one thumb up) but not great (two thumbs up); I think that if he had not removed the tomato and lettuce, it would have been better but he is a much tougher critic than me. On to the areas where improvement is needed. The chef's attitude toward small children is not inviting. For example, my son is small, 36". He does not put his feet on the chair because he wants to but because he needs to in order to prop himself up to a comfortable height. The chef yelled at him from the kitchen, "Tell the young man to put his feet down!" I get it, the chairs are upholstered in a leather material but a better approach would be to send the server over to communicate in a friendlier way, offer a booster, or to ask if he would be willing to remove his shoes if he needs to prop himself up in the chair. The next thing was the smoke. At one point before they decided to turn on the range hood the entire restaurant was filled with smoke that was pretty irritating and a bit alarming. They seemed to get it under control but the whole restaurant stayed musty at all times, it definitely needs more circulation. One idea would be to install a large folding door on the side of the restaurant next to the entry-way to create a sort of indoor/outdoor dining that makes use of the entry-ally way. It would also help to avoid the feeling of claustrophobia from being in such a small space. The prix fixe menu for the evening was a four-course meal at $95 that included the tuna sashimi salad, a lobster roll, American Wagyu, and raspberry tiramisu. The tuna salad was decent, very smooth, rich and well matched to the veggies and avocado. The lobster roll is where things started to fall apart. The bun was butter and overly salted and over-powered the meager bits of lobster that was included within. Last was the Wagyu (which we were highly anticipating due to having to wait 45 minutes after the lobster roll to arrive). Sadly, it was also over-salted, dry on the outside and chewy on the inside with a very gamey flavor (it was the worst steak I have had in a long time and definitely the worst Wagyu I have ever tasted). It was paired with a single spear of broccolini (extremely over-salted) and a large cut of heirloom tomato. Nothing about this pairing brought to mind Hawaii and its unique savory and sweet profiles but then again it just did not taste good. Last was the tiramisu. It was good, perhaps a bit heavy on the cream but overall good. The only other thing to note from this portion of the meal was that their only attempt at helping us celebrate our birthdays was a single heart-shaped candle which is nice but definitely minimal effort. As I was getting ready to sign the bill (around $400 total including a mimosa, three prix fixe, and a burger) the chef visited our table. I thought this was going to be a visit to ask how our meal was but instead he wanted to let us know that there were other guests waiting for our table... wait what?!? We arrived promptly at 5:30, they took 20 minutes to serve our salad, another 30 minutes to bring the lobster roll, 45 minutes to bring Wagyu, and 20 minutes to serve desert and somehow we are the ones holding things up?!? Frankly, I was too impressed by their total lack of self-awareness to get overly angry. Conceptually, I'm OK with the chef not adhering to the Hawaiian theme (regardless of the Hawaiian music playing throughout our visit) as long as they provide food quality that matches the fine dining price. Perhaps I visited on an off-night (since the menu is likely changing frequently) but for nearly $100 per person I expect better. Sadly, it looks like I'll still be waiting for a fine-dining approach to Hawaiian cuisine because GOGA just isn't it.

I think there's been maybe one or two instances where they were slammed and things got dicey. In the age of self pay kiosks with suggested tip buttons and blank faced drones for employees, Brew City Grill brings a dining experience from an era far superior to whatever *gestures wildly at everything* this is. One of these days I need to make the pilgrimage of Uncle John's Pancake House for breakfast/lunch, and Brew City for lunch/dinner. The cheese on top wasn't even melted, and the chicken had a rubbery texture and taste. Argh! Then came the mushroom burger. The sautéed mushrooms were cold and meat patty was dry, didn't feel the mushroom was freshly cooked at all. Lastly, the music they were playing was so sad and sorrowful. It didn't make the place feel lively or inviting at all. I came in hungry and was really looking forward to the food, so when it turned out to be this bad, it was especially disappointing. Great service, but unfortunately, the food just didn't live up to expectations.

It is a great place for bar crawlers and party goers, but in the day where we ran into a Sharks game, a $25 parking fee is an unavoidable loss. Eos & Nyx is big and pretty, it's hard to miss. The huge glass walls, green plants inside that reminds you of RH Roof are pleasant. The bars are beautiful, the tables are set elegantly. We were seated upstairs, the only thing I wish was a restroom upstairs, but the bar there was beautiful and we had less traffic, which was nice. I also like that each of the restroom stall has its own sink and paper towels. All they missed is a mirror, which was covered in the public areas of the restroom. Service was good. Upon checking in, we were warmly greeted by the hosts and the farewell was also proper. Brian took good care of us; introducing the menu, refilling water, small talks, clearing dirty dishes and replacing them before the next entree, everything is a check mark done right. I also got a card signed by the team to wish a happy birthday. Through and through, they presented the birthday wish warm and well. As for food, I like the options on the menu. Plenty of sharable choices, big plates for pasta, meat, pizza and also lots of drink choices. Even 0 proof has some fancy options. We ordered Hamachi Crudo, Leafy Things (Spinach / endive / strawberry / halloumi / pecans), and Scallops (Hokkaido scallops / legumes / wasabi / turnip / gremolata) from Sharable. Then we followed Brian's recommendation and picked Rigatoni (Short rib ragu / pecorino romano / peas / carrot) and N.Y. Strip 12 Oz (Celeriac espuma / black garlic / bone marrow reduction) for entrees. We wrapped it up with a Tahini & Caramel ice cream for dessert. The Hamachi Crudo tasted fresh and it has avocado mesh but a tad too much lemon juice for me. The Leafy Things was huge, but I think they replaced the spinach with cabbage and it was a tad too bitter. The chunky grilled halloumi cheese was a hit for the kid. The Scallops were pan-fried well, I didn't like the tangerine wedges in the dish and the wasabi was a bit too subtle. Our favorite was the Rigatoni, good balance of short ribs, el dente pasta and the right portion to share. We were disappointed at the NY Strip. It was sliced out for us, which was convenient, but I tasted some soft bones on the outskirt and the kid complained it was burned; maybe the charcoal flavor was too strong. What I didn't like the most was the unevenness of the sauce. Some bites we had a strong spicy kick while some bites were mild. This made the sweet potato puree tasted excellent. The ice cream was ok, nothing to write home about, in comparison, I prefer vanilla more as the tahini and caramel were too grounded and lacking that distinct piercing hard to forget aroma. In between dishes they brought in refreshments to cleanse our palates. I like the cucumber water, but both were pretty good. We also ordered a glass of Syrah which was good, blended well with the food and a glass of Mount Vesuvius (Santa teresa 1796 rum / passionfruit / pineapple / coconut / strawberry). The Mount Vesuvius tasted very sweet, just like pina colada. All and all, we enjoyed the night and left with an overstuffed stomach. I would do a girls night here as well, which is what the ambiance calls for.

The crab was very fresh and each crostini had a large portion of crab on top. The Brussels sprouts were very crispy and very umami with the cheese and bacon combination mixed in. The empanada was honestly a showstopper. I don't know how to describe it other than you have to try it. Both pastas were good but I prefer the mushroom one over the short rib ragu. The halibut was also good, and the basil sauce made it even better. I was already super impressed with everything but I think the stars were the 2 desserts. The Dubai cheesecake was an Italian style cheesecake, so it was a lot lighter than I was expecting (which was welcomed) and captured the essence of Dubai chocolate without being too overwhelming. The Lira in Wonderland was also SO good. It had a crown of cotton candy and was a mix of biscoff cookies, dehydrated red velvet cake (don't knock it till you try it), butterscotch sauce, and strawberries. I thought some dishes were great; the wagyu burger was decadent. Other dishes were not that special. The scallops didn't taste too fresh (likely frozen) and combining them with hummus didn't quite work. The side of bread was practically insulting. $5 for stale table bread was a surprise. Dishes arrived very late; we were nearly forgotten when we tried to order, and then after ordering, we waited 40 minutes between appetizers and the main course. Not because they were cooking it; they just forgot we were there and when they brought out the dishes, the scallops were no longer just-cooked, and the burger had been sitting for a bit. No apology, just an acknowledgment it was late, and no discount (not even on the stale bread). They offered us wine, we said we didn't drink, and they just moved on. I debated a lot about how to review this. It's my personal experience that was disappointing, and I'm glad some reviews are very upbeat. But there's a handful of reviews noting frustrating delays... and that needs to be worked on.
