I have never been to this particular five guys before, but I was pleasantly surprised I was able to call and make a phone order. I don't have a five guys app, nor do I know if they even have one, but it was nice to speak to a live person And make a phone call order as I was on my way there. The gentleman on the phone said I could order the burgers ahead of time, but he would not make the fries until I was there in person which I really appreciated so the fries weren't soggy or too greasy. As I walked in the restaurant was almost empty, but there was a line of five people in front of me, so I was very happy. I was able to make a Phone order ahead of time and just stand in line to pay for my order. After I paid for my order, I was able to pick up my french fries along with the burgers in about a five minute wait time. I really like how open this area/lobby area is for seating, but I'd rather eat outside personally. And they don't have much of an outside seating area. Wow. Five guys used to be my go to burger spot. As a chain this place continues to drop in quantity, quality, service, and value. I didn't notice shrinkflation hit five guys until this last visit. Both burgers fit well inside the radius of the bun. I get that the company jacked up the price of the burgers to keep up with costs, but when I actually get less food too it becomes a deal breaker for continued patronage. As an additional insult the burger had ingredients on there that I asked not be (tomatoes). On the plus side the fries were good. read more

I suppose Five Guys has it's devoted fans, just as In-N-Out does...I just have three general observations: 1.) All orders are packaged in a paper bag to go, whether you want to eat there or not. 2.) The "regular" order of fries is enough to feed 3 people. 3.) The burgers are too moist/soggy for my taste...you really need to stuff it into your face before it falls apart in your hand. I usually don't choose Five Guys unless I'm starving...between the peanuts, burger and ample fries, you'll leave stuffed. Just stopped into my local five guys. I had my dog with me who is in fact a service animal. One of the workers there RUDELY asked me if my dog was a service animal when I said yes he asked me for proof and identification for my dog. Someone needs to train this person that it is illegal to ask that. "According to the ADA, employees at a business "are not allowed to request any documentation" for a service dog. The American Disability Act (ADA) prohibits both public and private businesses from discriminating against people with disabilities". Businesses are only allowed to ask two questions: Whether the owner is disabled, and what tasks the dog is trained to perform. businesses are not allowed to ask for proof or certification for a service animal. As much as I love five guys I will now no longer visit this or any 5 guys establishment. If you have a service animal think twice about bringing them here. Disappointing to say the least! Definitely good burgers and fries, staff is young but attentive. The restaurant is a tad sloppy but maybe they're just running behind. Kinda pricey but that is becoming the norm. I would recommend the ketchup in a small separate container considering how many other things are being touched. Okay, okay, let's talk burgers. I really do understand the hype around a Five Guys burger. I ordered a double cheeseburger with the works and bacon, along with fries and a shake. Okay fries... there's nothing to talk about here. The fries absolutely suck a$$. If you enjoy the fries, then you are completely entitled to walk around being wrong. They suck. They are soggy, gross, over seasoned and far too many. That's one of the reasons they are getting only 4 stars here. Save yourself the depression and eat a raw potato instead. The burger was great. Honestly one of the best fast food burgers out there, but the price reflects this. (Come on Five Guys, I shouldn't have to contribute to my crippling amount of credit card debt to eat a fast food burger). The burgers are smashed as God intended and the seasoning is on point. Order all the toppings because the produce is great and makes every bite that much juicier. The patties are the highlight as they should be, but the bun is always destroyed. It seriously looks like they took the wrapped up burger as a f**king hacky sack for ten minutes before they put it in the bag. 7.3/10 The milkshakes are okay, but I'm not going to say bad until I try the banana. I hope they are being treated well because they deserve good management. They all acknowledge you when you walk in even if they are slammed. The Five Guys standard burger comes with 2 patty's, little burger comes with 1 patty. Each patty must be a quarter pound cooked well done. I felt into a food coma after eating the standard burger. I recommend getting the little burger. All toppings are included in the price. The frys is freshly cut. Because it is cut thicker, it doesn't come out crispy, but still very good. The large frys can feed 4 people. They are generous on the portion. While your waiting for your food, help yourself to some complimentary roasted peanuts. There very good. If your looking for a hardy meal, the Five Guys burger will fill you up. The flat pricing for any topping on the burger is great. read more

First time trying this place. I got a bacon cheeseburger bowl. It was okay. Nothing to wow about. My bf got a traditional cheeseburger. We got both kind of fries and 2 drinks. For $35 for two people, just seems a little underwhelming. I'd much rather go across the road to the other burger place with truffle mushrooms burgers. Solid 3 for a decent burger. But there's other options for the same or cheaper price that taste the same if not much better. Also this place let some dude in without a mask, they're still doing self serving soda and while I was there waiting for my food the kid who is supposed to be wiping everything down after people touch it, wasn't. I love this Five Guys! Came in for an early dinner with the parents and the dude that took our order was really nice. I got the Vegetable Sandwich with comes with green peppers, mushrooms, lettuce, tomato & grilled onions. I added cheese and mayo..so bomb. If I MUST be a stickler, the cheese could've been melted a bit more. But nonetheless it was soooo delicious. One thing I always remember about 5guys is that they are extremely generous with their fries. A small is already a pretty cool amount, but the large is a feast for 3. We like the burgers, and have no complaints about their flavor, quality, or the fries, but this location has messed up our pick-up order so many times I just can't recommend them anymore. We're on our fifth order in the past 8 orders that is just plain wrong. I'm writing this because once again we gave them another chance, brought home a bag of burgers from this Five Guys, opened them up, and realized it's all wrong even though the receipt shows the correct order. Yes, there are the five physical burgers, but none of them are what we ordered. We order them on the Five Guys app so we're just checking off boxes, not like we have to tell someone over the phone so maybe there's a communication problem. We never have a complicated order either. Literally our order is a couple cheeseburgers with no toppings and a few with all the toppings. But yet they still mess this up and seem to throw toppings on willy-nilly to each burger. Toppings all mixed up, single patties instead of double, bacon instead of no bacon, some inexplicably without cheese. Some loaded up with pickles and others with no mushrooms but a TON of mayo. Like come on here. We're not asking for two burgers with only 1 pickle and triple cheese served on only half of one lettuce wrap, with unsalted fries and a milkshake with no cream but extra sprinkles. Our orders are super basic but they still can't manage it. It's a disaster. This location used to be perfect, without a problem, for years. Now it's almost always wrong. Your only option is to take out and peel open these messy burgers inside the shop to make sure you have what you ordered - getting your fingers all messed up as your root through your family's food trying to make sure it's correct . Or you can go home and get angry and decide if it's worth driving all the way back and re-park and wait and wait just to get the order right. Okkkaaaayyy Five Guys!! I've been to other locations but I drove out to San Jose to hang with my friend who had already ate so I needed something quick. I don't eat hamburgers but LOVE BLT's. Before ordering, I first asked if my bacon could be re-cooked since I only eat bacon that is extremely crispy, almost burnt. I was told my request could be granted. I have to first say I was impressed that there were like 4 workers and it was after 9pm. I commented this was cool since closing is not left up to just 2 people who may also be trying to serve customers. The restaurant was not crowded as again it was after 9p. I unfortunately did not get any names of the staff but I will say my BLT was DELISH!! I asked that my bun be grilled with mayo which was done, bacon, mayo, cheese, raw onions, pickles and mushrooms - YEEEESSS! This sandwich was so good and I can say the young gentleman did not rush to make it as I stood watching. I truly felt like he made this sandwich as if he was going to eat it. Again I didn't get names but the staff seemed to gel well together and although there weren't really many customers in the restaurant, everyone seemed to be occupied and it didn't appear that anyone was standing around while there was work to be done. I had to attach a picture because I was so very pleased with this sandwich because I've gone to other Five Guy locations who refuse to cook my bacon to my specifications so Thank you. All 3 of our burgers were cold even though we waited 10 minutes for our order (was not crowded at all). Cheese wasn't melted all the way through, the patties were not hot and tasted like cardboard. Thee are a lot of burger places now that feature heavy duty, custom or semi-custom burgers. There are chains, like in In and Out, Smashburger, the Burger Bar, etc. OK, maybe In and Out shouldn't be classed in the same bracket :-). There are "gourmet" single store places of all sorts. For my money, though, the best combo of great burger, super fries, availability, consistency and net value is Five Guys. I find that the "little" burger is big enough for me, and the small fries are plenty for my wife and I. Combined with a drink and the legendary peanuts in the shell, and I'm a happy guy. I can't make a habit if this fat and carb fest, so it tends to be an infrequent treat for me. The burger can be ordered with a vast array of condiments. The meat patty itself is really beefy and has just enough non-beef ingredients to hold it together. It tastes great. The bun is an actual burger bun and not some brioche or other non-burger covering. Don't get me wrong, I like brioche- but I like my burger totally "old-school". The fries are cut from fresh potatoes on premises. Deep fried and nicely seasoned. I don't care for string fries, so these medium cut fries really work for me. Oh, did I mention I like to get the full dietary sin dosage when I come here, so I like the salt and seasoning they add too. Service is friendly and efficient for what it is - a burger joint. My only complaint is that this location at Westgate West shopping center has relatively poor climate control. It's always uncomfortably cold for me both summer and winter. Cold in the summer and colder in winter. Maybe it's on purpose so we'll all eat faster and turn over the table? ;-) Anyways, other than the lack of beer, Five Guys is my burger place! read more

Came in almost 10 minutes after my order was supposed to be done so I wouldn't have to wait- waited for 10 minutes for the kid to fry up 2 small fries while there was plenty of hot fries to be served. Asked if they waited for the customer to arrive to make the fries on a pickup order, they said yes. This works well in theory, not so much when you time it so you won't have to waste time waiting, or arrive early just to stare while the cooked burgers have been sitting and would have been fine to eat when I arrived, but are now nice and cold. Everyone there was a teen boy I felt like I was in home room again waiting for my food, which is fine, but when I'm too tired to cook and I'm coming here for convenience sake to get out and get home quick, it's not fun for me to have 1 more test to be gracious and patient at the end of a long day. P.s. watched the kid dump a ton of salt onto the fries like he was making Sandcastle's. How he manages to over cook fries which have a timer on them and then make them all totally inedible by over-salting them, is another reminder that I need to make food at home and avoid this 5 guys gone downhill. read more

I loooooovveee some 5 guys. But this place is ridiculous. My wife placed an order online recently, 2 burgers, 2 hot dogs, fries and a shake. (I didn't know she ordered a shake).. when I went to pick up the order, I waited a couple minutes, grabbed my food and went to my car. I then checked in the bag to make sure the sandwiches and hot dogs were there, only to realize they were missing a sandwich. No big deal, so I went back inside and let them know. They took my receipt from me and I waited a few more minutes for them to realize the other sandwich was in a bag, separate from my order where they keep all of the ordered food behind the counter. They gave me my other sandwich but not my receipt. I then left the restaurant with all of my food, no receipt and no shake. When I got home, my wife asked "where is my shake?" Moral of the story, if your s/o places an order online, make sure to check your receipt and make sure ALL of the items are with your order. As these guys certainly won't do it for you. read more

Five Guys is a favorite burger splurge for me & I after a stressful debate last night, I treated myself ;) I came into this location for the first time today. There were two guys working and they were both awesome. Immediately dropped their task to come to the register the moment I came in. Took my order efficiently and made it perfectly. Super polite. Wanted to give that shoutout to these two employees during high stress times. You were great. Thank you so much. Totally hit the spot! [p.s. Best burger joint I've ever had. Yes, Five Guys is better than In-N-Out, Carl's Jr. , McDonald's, Red Robin, etc, etc Their fries are so good, and they're always giving you extra.
