Incredible hamburgers! Homemade hamburgers that will melt in ya mouth! Good place to make a quick stop and get a burger!!!

Hadn't been here for a while, but found my way back a couple times just recently. The Big Ol Boy burger is awesome! Cheese, jalapenos, mushrooms, and big ol patty. Very tasty. Onion rings are solid and good. Fries are good too. Another visit I tried the Philly Cheesesteak, that was amazing! Had a nice spicy kick to it from jalapenos. The cheese and meat and grilled onions and jalapenos melded together wonderfully. The ciabatta bun it was on was very tasty and had a nice crunch where the greasy goodness hadn't fully permeated. All in all still a solid choice in Conroe! Great to be able to come to a place for years and years and it remain great, if not greater! read more

I have had many Philly cheesesteaks. I am a chef and have I never before enjoyed such an amazing cheese steak. This is and forever will be the most amazing cheese steak I've ever had in Texas. Good greasy gut bomb burger. Fries were perfect. The banana shake had real bananas in it. We got an excellent butterscotch malt. The staff is super friendly. Another reviewer said the location was sketchy. It's less than a quarter mile from the courthouse. Not really sketchy just small town. read more

This is one of the best fuckin burger joints in town. It may not have the 5 star look but it has the 5 star feel and service. I haven't had the luxury of trying all the weekly specials because it's so hard to not order the burgers when they are so top notch. The service is fast enough and super friendly. This place would of got a 5 star except that whatever mayonnaise they use is disgusting. I ordered my burger with mayonnaise and was saddened with the taste. The burger was perfect until that sweet taste ruined the burger. It tasted more like Miracle Whip and everyone knows that isn't mayonnaise. I would go back if they use a different mayonnaise/Miracle Whip. read more

This place is a hole. But the food is great. I had the buffelo chicken sandwich with fries and a drink. The portions are out of control. U get a big sandwich and larger fries w a mammoth drink. I didn't try the shakes but the way others were ordering them I suspect they are as good as the food. read more

A hole in the wall. My son loved his burger. There are many items to choose from. A friend ordered a value menu which includes a large burger, fries and gigantic drink for only $8. The fried mushroom and gyros I ordered are tasty but I had better. I still gave it 5 stars because the service is fast, the food is pretty good and the price is the best. read more

I have lived in Conroe almost 10 years and have stopped here quite a few times hoping it will be a better experience. While they do serve a home-cooked, old fashioned burger, the patty lacks any kind of seasoning or flavor. The fries are decent, but not the best I've had. The prices are great for all the food you get. As mush as I love hole in the wall places that cook good meals, this place just isn't one of them. I like this place. Nondescript, unprepossessing looking. My favorite thing here is the Chicken Lewie, a grilled chicken sandwich featuring melted cheese, grilled onions and jalapeno flavored ciabatta bread. I like the shakes, too. The people have always been nice to me, and there is a pleasing ethnic mix to the clientele. The secret to getting the best out of this place is to get something unusual here, not just the regular burger and fries. They have a really wide menu- get a weird flavor of shake and one of the ciabatta sandwiches some genius came up with. Not where I go for a non-chain burger- there it's MacKenzie's. read more

Small little burger joint with with great food and very reasonable prices.

Went today to try their lunch special. Pork chops, mashed potatoes and green beans. Delicious! Had to take half home they give you so much! Usually have their breakfast tacos in the morning with the most Delicious hash brown potatoes. An amazing hole in the wall! This place is really good and a great value. I had a large cheeseburger large fries and large drink for $8.05. Burger was big and fresh with plenty of toppings. More than 2 Pickles. The burger patty large enough to cover the Jumbo Hamburger bun and it was serve hot and tasty. The Fries were very hot, the way they should be served. Love the food. It's was fast and convenient. People were nice and the owner was visible. I saw him running food out to customers. If you need a quick hot tasty burger in Conroe this is the place. read more

If I wanted whataburger I would go to whataburger. I didn't want to spend my $17.00 at a dirty shackwhen I could have gone to a nice clean whataburger and had the same thing but could have replaced it with a decent burger. The service was awful, the worker was having a personal conversation on a cell phone when bringing the food to the table. Around fifteen minutes later my stomach began to hurt, I have a strong stomach but even my stomach could not handle the horrendous excuse of beef they were using. This is a little place with a walk up window and a little dining room that holds around thirty people, maximum. This business has been around since 1981 as long as I can remember growing up in Conroe. I have been wanting to try Burger Boy for a while now, but the front presentation leaves a little to be desired and my wife does not like trying questionable looking places. This restaurant reminds me of one my relatives had in Louisiana, giving a familiar feel done with a budget. It was clean and nothing to make me object to eating. I stand there to take in the menu and the girls behind the counter was eager to take my order. There were two people sitting in the restaurant, eating. The menu is pretty expansive spanning from burgers, chili, fish, chicken, seafood, burritos, buffalo wings, pork chops, gyros, BLT, Frito pie, and a more expansive menu on breakfast (served from 6:15 to 10:45 am). My first reaction is - what to order. I decided to go with the giant burger with mustard, to go. After consuming the burger, I have come to the conclusion that it was mediocre at best. There was absolutely no "Wow" factor. (Wow factor is the little great taste that makes you say "Wow, this is good". Something was lacking in the taste of the meat, while the other ingredients were tasty and brought out good flavor. I would not bring my family to this place unless I was driving all night and very hungry. The food is edible but not a culinary experience that I will go out of my way to go through again. Things I would do better: Cut down the menu and be great at one thing, burgers and fries. Provide chicken as an alternative to burgers. Improve appearance on outside. read more

I wanted a nice, juicy burger. I was NOT disappointed at all. The place doesn't have any frills. Just the best burger I've had in a long while. Hand formed, not frozen. And the fries were crispy and hot. I had my burger with swiss cheese, mushrooms and grilled onions, tomatoes and mayo. Delicious! They have a pretty good selection. The raspberry sweet tea was awesome. The place isn't very big, but it was very clean. Friendly workers brought our food in less than 10 minutes.
