Service decent ambiance it's a buffet nothing fancy the food is where you're gonna be disappointed. So we came here for some time away and to celebrate my husbands birthday. After a 3 hour drive up to the resort we checked in took a nap and began our exploration. We walked around and decided to go to the buffet for a casual on property bite to eat. $63.58 later we were escorted to our table. Of course we didn't sit we went straight to the food. Keep in mind this is a Sunday afternoon. They had a salad bar that was fully stocked fresh and it was clean my husband enjoyed his, seafood which was nothing but cold spiced shrimp that was salty or plain shrimp decent two different sauces cocktail which is always good and safe a Cajun sauce that was decent, lemon, then the hot food. Cheese ravioli under cooked, turkey sausage, pork sausage, bacon those were good, over cooked scrambled eggs, waffles, French toast, sausage gravy, pancakes, eggs Benedict I wasn't impressed with from the way they looked so I didn't bother, steamed vegetables, roasted potatoes had to add seasoning to, but the seafood cakes were delicious. The carving station had herb roasted turkey it was good and prime rib gravy compote or anju onions and peppers or mushrooms for your topper. An omelette station and dessert station with sugar free options and chocolate only ice cream ( I asked for vanilla ice cream and was told their order wouldn't arrive until Wednesday). I waited a while because it was still brunch when we came and they were already in the process of switching over to dinner and we wanted to see what they would put out. The clams came and they looked over cooked so I didn't get those. The prime rib looked so nice I went for it that was perfect I topped it with the gravy and some mushrooms which made it even better a side of mashed potatoes went well. The cod was okay the pork chops looked dry the ribs were delicious my husband had some during their brunch so I guess that's a repeat item they serve. So for a quick on property bite I say this place was cool. Not gonna go back while we are still here not even for breakfast. Hopefully they get the seasoning and cook times right to make this a better meal option for people that are staying on property. read more

My experience was horrible from the start I went for lunch yesterday , my server Mary was extremely disrespectful and didn't know how to do her job. Apparently they have no juices at this restaurant anymore as well ,including orange juice and I had low blood sugar at the time and I never had a problem getting it before!!! This place is just getting cheaper and cheaper! when I spoke with the manager Karen who then gave her 100 excuses of her behavior including she had medical issues which had nothing to do with my service I received . She still didn't resolve any problems I had ,instead she talked about me with the server basically in my face and said I couldn't get a refund!!! So me and my family left , she is not qualified for this position, she's a joke , I would never come back ,which is unfortunate because I loved this casino. read more

Not bad for the price for two people 76 bucks if you don't have any comp points, the food is very good well-made the temperatures are kept up. First time visiting to The Buffet at Mount Airy and found it to be a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Being we where there on Wednesday, you got a 30% off discount (you need to sign up for the casino courtesy card at the front desk) which was fun! Dinner buffet is boring and bland. Not a lot of selection. Very few healthy items. The fish tastes funny almost always. The broccoli often tastes fishy. The pizza and pasta taste like school cafeteria food. The desserts are usually frozen and of low quality. I will say it is clean so that's nice. read more

Everything was good at the Friday dinner buffet. 1 star less, because of the meager " Thinly shaved" carving station meats. Carver needs to smile more and listen to requests of customers who ask that their piece not be shaved please! Felt that meat was rationed... Service at the table was efficient. Out of all of the choices at My Airy for meals, this is the one to avoid. Quality of food has continuously gone downhill and is more a food trough. Service is somewhat attentive and the area is kept clean. If it was more like it was when it opened, I would be giving it a few more stars. Just off the casino floor is the casino signature buffet. Wednesday's senior day 30% off a price of $23.99. 10% off if you have one of those casino cards. Our server Eric was EXCEPTIONAL I can't say enough about the service he gave us. Always had a smile and Never let our empty plates pile up. The food was excellent, today they had a Maryland/South Carolina favorite She-crab soup this soup had chunks of crab in it I thought the chunks were potatoes but it was crab and it was FANTASTIC. There is a variety of foods to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. R&B,and Pop are piped in as you enjoy the excellent cuisines. Also very clean environment food is in the warmers not counters, that because this casino does not allow children in ,NOT EVEN IF YOU're just going to the several restaurants. In other words Kid's Free Zone. I was disappointed once when my 15year old grandson couldn't eat here. So this is the casino rule. Had low expectations because of the negative reviews on here but this buffet was surprisingly very good. Some of the highlights include: prime rib au jus, pork filet with apricot sauce (very tender!), stone fired pizza, taco bar, dessert bar, salad bar, seafood (cocktail shrimp, cod, salmon filets), lots of thanksgiving themed food and many others. Everything was tasty and fresh. Price was reasonable for what you get. It was around $23 per person including unlimited fountain drinks/tea/coffee which is unheard of for buffets. They also offer a 30% discount for seniors on Wednesdays. The dessert bar was impressive with a variety of cakes, pies, cheesecakes, cream puffs, fruit tarts, tiramisu and a soft serve ice cream machine. There were plenty of toppings for the desserts and we saw a bunch of people putting soft serve ice cream on top of their cakes lol. The boston cream pie seemed to be very popular here but we didnt get to try it because we were too stuffed at this point. The service was attentive. The staff checked up on us if we had plates to clear and how we liked the food. The food at the buffet tables were always refilled quickly by the staff and they kept the bars clean. They even fixed the ice tea machine and soda machine very quickly when it ran out. Overall, a good experience and would go again if in the area. I'm convinced many of the negative reviews are probably from people who lost their money in the casino because this was definitely one of the better buffets I've had. read more

I love buffets because I get to select what I eat and don't and how much. I get to enjoy the meal and not feel rushed so someone else can be seated (table turnover) so the server can have the opportunity to get more tips. I also get to sample a variety of foods so I can better inform readers of my reviews. So here I go... The line getting in for lunch today was 19 minutes long to get to one of the two registers. It may normally be long just as it is at most buffets or it may be long because of the 30% senior discount on Wednesdays. Seating is comfortable but made uncomfortable for those of us who dislike having our eyes and respiratory tract burn from the scientically and justice system acknowledged poisoning cigarette smoke that is allowed in the casino. Or for those who don't like the cigarette smoke that stays on the body and clothes well after leaving the casino. (Smoke is unburned particles, thus clings). The casino seems to think just because they put a sign on a gaming machine or area that says no smoking at that location, that the smoke wafting through the casino will read the sign, stop short and not go beyond the smoking allowed portion of the casino. Nope, it doesn't work that way. My eyes and respiratory tract burned all the way through the smoking side of the casino, which we are required to walk through to get to the "non-smoking area" and restaurants. I found that if I sat in the farthest seating area from the casino floor, the smoke was still there but less. If you think how far and strong the smoke from wildfires in Canada travels and still carries most of the harmful particles, you can relate to how it travels indoors, too. There are no barriers or effective ventilation systems to suck the cigarette smoke out of the casino, especially the no smoking area, which is only separated by signs on the machines, no walls. The food is plentiful and very good. For example, the vegetable minestrone soup was made on premises with fresh vegetables. The chilled shrimp was just right. The baked cod was very good. The roasted cauliflower was very lightly seasoned with ranch seasoning and good. Salmon with teriyaki sauce was overlooked and very sweet tasting. Grilled chicken was also overcooked and therefore rubbery. Grilled vegetables were good, but like much of the otherwise healthy food here, oil was bountiful on it, making it an unwise choice for people looking to reduce heart or circulation risks. Sugar-free jello was good. The sugar-free cheese cake was "uninspiring," as my friend put it. No sugar-free flavoring is offered for coffee or tea, just sugar laden ones. Sugar substitutes (Splenda, etc.) are available. The carrot cake is phenomenal! It was very tasty and fresh tasting. The apple pie was also very good, with freshly made pie filling and dough/crust. The fresh fruit offerings were, well...fresh! Good assortment. There were many, many other items, including meat, pasta, pizza, cookies, pies, brownies, pudding, rolls, meats, and more. If you can tolerate the cigarette smoke, I do recommend this buffet for a good eating experience. You won't leave hungry or disappointed. read more

It's a nice buffet. We had it after we did saddle boat in Poconos. It's worth for $24 per person. From all the soup they have, the best is the Turkey Corn Clam Chowder. The shrimp cocktails just fine. And the cajun shrimp didn't fit to our preference. But it's good. They also have salad with many options of dressing. For the Entrees, they have: Fried Chicken (so good), Pork Lion (too sweet), Mac&Cheese, Pesto Pasta, Steak, Salmon (nice), Pink Sauce Cod (really good). They also have Pizza & Calzone station. Roasted Turkey, Grilled Sausage Station. What about Desserts???? Tiramisu is the best!!!! And many others dessert you should try. And of course a cup of Chocolate ice cream. I have always had a love hate relationship with buffets. I always worry about how clean it will be or how long has food been sitting there and if it is being monitored by someone to make sure the food is being handled correctly. I also try not to go too late because you would literally be getting food that has been sitting there or food that they want to get rid of before they close. Mt Airy Casino buffet for the price really offers decent food. The environment itself is very clean and it is a very large space. When we got there we were seated right away and went right to the buffet stations. They had a carving station that offered sausage and ham which was not for me. The star for me was their salmon which I loaded up on because it just came out. Their fried cod fish plus their pot roast (so tender) was equally yummy. What I loved about it was that I was able to get the food just as they put it out. Their salad bar looked very good I watched them as they were setting it up. Their seafood and taco bar for me was a no go. I also passed on the pizza station only because you can eat that any where at anytime. They had a large dessert section that offered cakes, cookies, pies, plus more. I always navigate towards the soft ice cream machine if it is available because it is always delicious. 3-star rating - *** My wife and I have been going to Buffet every Wednesday since it has re-opened after the pandemic. It ALWAYS has been Fantastic. In the past month or so, there have been a lot of changes to food. There is no longer the salmon in lemon sauce, the Italian bar was replaced with salads, the roasted chicken breast is gone, the simple mashed potatoes are empty most of the time. The replacement foods are chicken thighs in a cover up gravy, the meats are in a gravy that taste like cardboard. We have heard quite a few people remarking about the down grade and quality of replacements. It is sad because we would praise the Buffet food to everyone, strangers and friends. We would eat then spend time in the casino. This is NO reflection on the servers they are FANTASTIC just plain good people. For us, returning to the Buffet is now on hold. read more

The cost is about 20 dollars a person. Food was good but not hot enough. They have good variety. They have to improve the cleanliness of the tables, floors and cups. Some of the cups looked like they were just rinsed and not washed. We went with friends and family and 3 of the families had the incorrect amount on the checks. This place could be a 5 star. This buffet is definitely one of the more high end buffet's I've been to- with a full selection including tacos, chicken, sausage, as well as desserts like cookies or cobbler. The seating area was big enough that at opening, despite there being a line to get in, there was no wait. We went straight to our seats, then straight to the buffet. The quality of the food is about what you'd expect from a buffet- not perfect, but good enough to keep you happy while still getting your money's worth. It's also impressive exactly how wide the menu is- there was general tsos chicken, tacos, pizza, salads, soups. There is something for just about anybody. The hardest part is having enough self control, because the food is actually that good. This has been one of my favorite buffet experiences, and would consider coming back to the casino just for the buffet at some point. read more

I have been here many times and never have I had such great server as Eric so polite, friendly, helpful sweet made our meal so pleasant. Place is so clean to soon as you see someone make a mess is cleaned within second. My one and only complaint not even a complaint would be more beef options without mushrooms. They were in rice so there was few I couldn't eat. I don't eat fish or chicken so if I cannot eat beef then I do salad, soup and appetizer. read more
