Located in northeastern Pennsylvania, Mount Airy Casino Resort is a relaxing escape in the well known, majestic Pocono Mountains. Camping, hiking, skiing, all things nature and outdoor activities are the main attraction that makes this place popular. I came here for a birthday weekend celebration and I must be honest....I thought to myself ......who celebrates a big milestone bday in all places "The Poconos!? I mean when it comes to birthdays and vacations, my brain is often wired for tropical destinations, beachfront Vistas, or something more at an upbeat pace. But, I must admit. I was pleasantly surprised by my stay at the Mount Airy Casino resort. From the moment that we stepped through the doors, you are greeted with a welcoming hospitality and check-in crew that were very helpful with providing you things to do places to go and see. We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms and it was very accommodating, spacious with one of the most comfortable king sized beds. The hotel grounds were immaculate very clean. Nothing dated a sleazy about this place that's for sure. The food options, day pool lounge and casino..... were all an added plus++ that made this place even more worth it as well. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and I was made of a believer. I actallly had an amazing time filled with both fun and R&R....and found myself considering to stay over another night. If you're looking for a relaxing, more low key, five to celebrate special occasion or just for a quick getaway weekend..... you can't go wrong staying here. The only gripe I would say I had was with the in room snacks and wet bar.... You will be charged basically if you touch or even breathe on the items! lol. But all aside,, with the backdrop of a great outdoorsy feel and small town vibe and local eats/shopping.... You're in for a great stay and I would consider returning.....especially since this place is popular during the winter-snow season. read more

Wife and I came here for my 25th birthday, the experience was honestly mediocre. The Casino was nice, the guy at the bar though made snarky remarks about my wife and I ordering soda (we don't drink) saying things like "ma'am this is a bar" and proceeded to gossip to another bartender that we weren't drinking alcohol. The hotel it self was nice, room was clean and comfy. but the rule of not letting customers take the cart for our luggage is honestly wack. Pool was nice, little cold. Stayed here with my fiancé for his bday around January 4th. This resort was ok be aware there is no refrigerator or microwave in the rooms which sucks and we wasted alot of food not being able to store food or reheat the food back up. Parking is a mess and it's so far away from the resort in order to get a close parking spot u have to tip valet very well for them to let u park steps away from the hotel . Other than that the bathroom was nice and the bed was comfortable. Probably wouldn't pick this resort again read more

Unlike the many casinos popping up all over the country this is a legit casino with real games and real croupiers and real chips you can actually touch, feel and win. The action here is non stop for a Wednesday afternoon it gave a vibe of Saturday night. A lot of excitement also Several restaurants are available for dining anchored by Guy Fieri Mr. Pocono kitchen. The only drawback is SMOKING IS ALLOWED. So if you can't tolerate the smell pass this place by. Even the very small section for NON SMOKERS you still can smell it. As a former smoker I can tolerate a little puff but this place is ridiculous. With all the money they're making they could invest in a better air purifier and filtration system. I really wanted zero stars but...This establishment treats its customers like garbage. Friday dec 12th was one of my worst experiences ever. After our company spent tens of thousands of dollars for our annual holiday dinner, I was humiliated and treated like a dirty dog by the hands of a so called security woman.. After consuming 2 alcoholic beverages at their bar i was told i was "intoxicated" and to leave the premises with the threat of physical force and state police intervention. I will never return to this place ever ever again. This place owes me a apology at the very least and for the first time in my life i may consult an attorney to seek legal remedy for the defamation made on me in front of dozens of my colleagues. Me and a couple friends took and uber up here on Saturday night on memorial day weekend to have some fun and gamble, we came in very hungry and decided to try there little pizzeria which turned out to be horrible, The pizza is the most mediocre crap I've ever had these 2 poor kids making the pizza seemed very miserable, the multimillion dollar casino can only provide easy bake ovens to make their pizzas, nothing but 20 minute lines to get your crap food, the bar is unfortunately just as crap, 20 minutes between drinks is ridiculous, showed up sober as a butterfly left sober as a dog, all I tried to order was a beer and a shot and I can only have 1 at a time every 20 minutes? They have a little coffee shop and I got an iced coffee but when I went to pay, I was charged two dollars more than what was advertised. Labor Day Weekend! My BF and I came here for a relaxing weekend. Upon check in we requested a mini fridge for our room which was promptly brought up. The fridge is available for a $25 per day fee. While checking in I paid for the room (so I thought) and the fridge fee. Housekeeping stopped by daily, I must say they did a good job. Always replenishing toiletries, towels and coffee maker items. When we left the do not disturb sign on the door they were respectful of that as well. We dined at 4 out of the 5 eateries.... Guy Fieri's, The Buffet, Lucky 8 Noodles & Bistecca by IL Mulino (all will have their own review) with Lucky 8 Noodles being our fave. The night staff at Guy Fieri's needs a crash course in customer service. We utilized the pool on Labor Day which was very chill. Cabanas and day beds are available for rent with lounge chairs being first come first serve. They also have a pool menu with pool staff frequently circling to take orders and deliver food. The morning of check out I received a text message with instructions on how to check out via mobile. When I followed the link it stated I had a balance which was equivalent to the room rate already paid upon check in. So of course I skip the mobile check out and go to the front desk to check out because clearly something isn't right. Customer service at the front desk explained upon check in they put a hold on your CC for the room rate along with daily incidentals ($50 per day). Upon check out you actually pay for the room rate. Keep in mind depending on how long you stay the originally hold is still pending so essentially you're paying twice. That's what happened to me. The hold fell off a few days after check out. I think that process is absolutely absurd. The room rate should be charged and collected upon check in. read more

We dropped by to the casino during our trip to poconos . Nice location and lots of parking outside . We didn't say in their rooms but the hotel (from outside) looked good / big.. Casino itself was average . Only few tables were being used . Wanted to play roulette and there were only 2 TABLES to play !! 15$ minimum was ok . Service was pathetic.. u get a drink every 30-40 mins and most of the times you wouldn't find her to order .. hope they can improve on their service . Parking is ok. this resort could be great, but it has some major flaws...the place wreaks of cigarette smoke in the casino...there is no non-smoking area for people trying to avoid lung cancer...the slots are some of the tightest I have ever seen...the food selections are meh and the spa, was fully booked just for a day pass, I had a very slow drain in the sink...the casino has a depessing feel to it and attracts a lot of unkempt people and seniors gambling away their social security checks...all in all a must miss...much better options in Atlantic City! And let me say one more thing to the geniuses that are running this operation...making the slots unwinnable costs you in the long run...mount airy is closer than AC to where I live in New York and I probably would have made many more trips here if you controlled the blood letting...but now, this is a one and done! read more

I visited the resort formerly known as "Beautiful Mount Airy Lodge," (sing it with me if you remember 90's NYC radio)! We were there for a corporate event with about 50 people. The facility was clean and nicely renovated. Rooms appeared fresh and newly updated. Once inside, there is no need to leave, as they have everything you could want in the facility. Since it was a corporate event, I only ate catered meals in the ball room areas. The food was not wonderful, and this was the only drawback. Dinner one night was buffet style. The meat was dry, and the sides didn't have very good flavor. This was a common complaint from other people in my party, as well. It rained extremely hard while we were there, so I didn't play golf, however, some of the people in my group played in the thunderstorm and said it was a good course. Would go back, but want to try the actual restaurants next time to see if non-catered cuisine is better. read more

Buffet is terrible and it's dirty in casino you can't get a drink for over an hour and they take forever to bring your drink order if you can even find a drink person. Drinks are very weak. The restaurants are also terrible except for lucky 8 which is great and it's so cold in casino. The slots never take your players card and never pay out you win maybe every 10 visits. We used to love going here and bringing up friends but no more. Besides changing the slot machines so often the cards barely work and when we go to get our comp room, it's never available. We spent so much money there, but not recorded because of their card readers not working. It's a shame, but I hear it more often that people are taking the ride to the other casinos due to all this change. As for the food, not good at all. The buffet is terrible with no flavor. Worst casino I've ever been to. Have went on and off for about five years. Never pays out NEVER. Not on poker or the slots. Horrible drink service guaranteed every time. The property is beautiful and up to date with an amazing staff at check-in as well with the Valet service. The rooms are gorgeous, clean, and comfortable - and the hotel is quiet. My only issue is a small one: The housekeeping staff is thorough, efficient, and excellent. However, at 10:00 AM they were extremely loud while talking in the hall. Like many at such a property, I'm a night owl and had only been sleeping for a few hours. All the housekeepers had to do was enter a room they had cleaned and speak there. In addition, even with a "Do Not Disturb" tag on my door, a housekeeper knocked at 10:20 AM. I had not checked out yet and still had some time left. Since I was checking out on a Monday morning, there should not have been a major rush to turn rooms around. I look forward to staying here again because it's a great escape in the Poconos. read more

The hotel is beautiful and the amenities are nice, BUT if you are planning to go swimming in the indoor pool, prepare to be uncomfortably cold. I was disappointed that the pool was not warmer. Also, there are hard working valet's at the hotel, however, there was one that was noticeably unhappy, talking under his breath, tearing out of the unloading area very fast with peoples cars. It was just obvious, he was not happy doing what he was doing. Several people who were there looked at each other and said "Wow!" Service, EXCEPT the Peruvian Valet woman, was HORRENDOUS!!! BEFORE check-in, we called and SPECIFICALLY asked, "Is there smoking ON the premises?" Their answer, "No." Upon our arrival, smoking ON the premises. Requested a "regular" refrigerator, they stated, "We will waive the $26 fee, as a courtesy." We kept waiting, waiting and waiting and calling and calling and calling for the arrival of the mini fridge, over an hour and close to midnight....STILL NO FRIDGE. After REPEATED calls, the front desk argued and lied again about their waiver and said, "we won't do it" versus what they initially stated. This type of arrogant, disingenuous, rude behavior is appalling and has never happened, not even at less prestigious accommodations. On the strength of customer service, they should have HONORED their initial word to us. Even IF and that's a BIG "IF", there was a simple misunderstanding, they should have and could have easily "comped" their mistake. We will NEVER, EVER stay here again. ONLY because we were supporting our 85+ yo aunts were we here in the first place! NEVER EVER AGAIN! I decided to return to the Pocono to get what I thought would be a peaceful relaxing yet good time for old sake the rooms have no refrigerators no is no microwave in the facility for its residence customers to utilize so in other words, don't bring any food with you don't buy any food from inside or outside because you won't be able to store it and you won't be able to heat it up this is egregious. We stayed here for two nights. The first night we ate at Guy Fiero's restaurant which is located inside the casino. We both ordered the Reuben with french fries. The pastrami was rancid and it didn't appear to have any sauerkraut or dressing. It was the worst Reuban that I ever tasted. Our server removed both sandwiches from our ticket. She was awesome. She was personable and very attentive. I was so looking forward to eating at Guy's because for years I have watched his shows and I figured it would be a great experience. Not at all and never again! The second night we ate at the buffet. Nothing spectacular about a buffet. It appeared that they didn't have enough busboys to clear the tables because dishes were stacked up on a lot of the tables. One busboy running around trying to make sense of his job duties. The rooms were nice and clean. Very friendly housekeeping staff. Beware of the corners of the beds because we both whacked our knees on the corners at the foot of the bed a few times and it was painful. I would highly recommend a more rounded edge on those beds because I'm sure we weren't the only victims. The casino was nice with a wide variety of slot machines and tables. Also, take notice that an additional 35.00 will be included on your hotel bill for miscellaneous. This would be for the valet service, the concierge, and the use of the Keurig coffee maker in your room. This was not explained when checking in which would have been nice. I used the valet service only 1 night of my stay and never touched the coffee maker in the room. Front desk staff should be more transparent when checking in a customer. read more

A beautiful property, well-maintained and spotlessly clean. Incredible staff, welcoming, and happy to do whatever they can to enhance your stay. Excellent rooms, quiet, and well appointed. The Keurig coffee makers in each room are a nice touch. Valet parking and bellman made arrival quick and painless. Kudos to Angela at the front desk, Sonny the bellman, and the entire spa staff. Wonderful indoor/outdoor pool. The casino is, as all such casinos are, too loud and noisy. All of the restaurants are off the casino floor and Il Bistecca Mulino was our favorite (separate review). The only restaurant open at breakfast with Guy Fieri's, which was fine, but way too loud for that hour in the morning! Overall, expensive but well worth it. YOLO, right? read more

Disappointed, & surprised at lack of concern for guests. Upon checkin the computers were down. I understand that happens from time to time. They said "We'll call you when we can check you in". We sat for over an hour. Finally I called a hotel manager. They offer no comp's for the inconvenience. Nothing. I was told that the computers should be up shortly. (What's "shortly")????????? Bathroom had soap (or something) on the door & floor. Even in the small mom & pop hotels they've said "we're sorry for the inconvenience and here's a drink on us". Not a fan any longer. Went on a sisters' trip early March. The staff was so polite and I loved the decor. We didn't get to eat but we did enjoy cocktail by the indoor pool. I believe the pool was heated but it was still too cold for us to get in. The casino area is definitely way too Smokey for us but the other areas had a great hotel smell. You couldn't really smell the smoke from the rooms. Their alcohol and wine list is very limited. read more

Don't let the negative reviews steer you away, as it appears that the hotel management is very attentive to the needs of hotel guests and has taken YELP recommendations seriously. The hotel is very clean and has great ventilation--smoking was not noticeable to me. The casino is of decent size, though I wish more card tables were open, especially Pai-Gow. The dealers were very personable, professional and funny--it's a nice change from the Las Vegas dealers that I'm used to. Dinner at Bistecca was top notch--intimate, cozy, with stellar service and a great menu. Last but not least, our suite located on the 5th floor had everything you could ever ask for, stunning views, comfortable bed (lots of pillows), and a dream master bath. I have very mixed feelings about this place, but I think 3 stars is what makes sense at least for my experience. The positives are that it's a great looking property. Really beautiful inside and out, especially with the golf course as you come into it. The building is really nice inside as well and gets you that rustic vibe feel. Also, the minimums are pretty low overall compared to most in Atlantic City. The bad is everything inside. The food at guy fieris (see that review) was lackluster. The service was not all too friendly from the dealers, to cashier, to the cocktail server. I ordered a drink while playing, and after about an hour, she finally comes by to tell me that "they still have not made my drink" and even after she comes by again, another hour later, she didn't even bother coming to our table. Overall, if you're looking for a great looking property with decent casino minimums, this is not a terrible spot. read more

I really love this casino. I come here to play craps all the time and the dealers are a pleasure to hang out and gamble with. They call all the players by name like they know you and they're funny and cool and really make it enjoyable to be there. The casino also has great craps rules with a $5 table which is impossible to find anywhere and 10 times odds. I hope this review gets back to the dealers. read more

I'll get this out of the way first, this is not a cheap place to stay.  Wife and I came here for a trip to the Poconos and we had a good time.  Room was nice and accessible, we had the King ADA room and it was large and spacious.  Bathroom was a good size so she could navigate around without issues and the roll-in shower has a built in bench for easy showering. Never heard the people around us or above us so the walls seem reasonably soundproof, however we did hear everyone walking through the hallways which I wasn't a fan of.  Bed was nice and comfy and I slept surprisingly well for being in a hotel. One thing I absolutely could not stand though was the parking.  There is no easy parking for the hotel, they want you to only use the valet which due to us having my wife's van which has been modified to help her drive we didn't feel comfortable using the valet who wouldn't be familiar with her controls, so we ended up parking on the casino side and walking all the way around the facility.  Would be really nice to at least offer some handicap parking on the hotel side if nothing else! Place was kept pretty clean and had no issues with the staff we dealt with.  Overall we enjoyed our stay, just wish the prices were more reasonable and they took hotel parking into consideration when they built the place. read more

I absolutely love coming up to here to do my mini getaways for the weekends. It's not far to drive, but it's also an oasis. Plenty of different options to eat at, and it's always a great time. Room is always very clean and up to standard. The beds are great, no squeaking. Lol. But they're so soft and they give you 6 pillows. The shower is nice, the only thing I would suggest is a brighter light in the toilet room. And the valet, is top notch. read more

This was the first time my wife and I visited the Casino and we stayed at the Lodge. We are not gamblers but we thought it would be fun to try our luck at the slot machines (we did and it was really fun, pretty much breaking even but what a rush when the machine lit up if we won that round!). I read some of the negative reviews from last year, mostly centering around the heavy smell of cigarette smoke. We are both non-smokers and we are sensitive to cigarette smoke, but honestly, it wasn't bad at all. Perhaps they improved their air filtration system, but we were in the non-smoking section of the Casino and we hardly smelled anything. The restaurants in the Casino are for the most part reasonably priced with the exception of the one really, REALLY expensive one, which we avoided. We really liked the Lucky 8 Noodle & Sushi Bar and ate there twice. The Guy Fieri place was also reasonable. Our room was very clean and large, and the Lodge itself where the rooms are is all non-smoking - no smell of stale smoke at all. My wife loved the spa, had a facial, pedicure and massage - again prices were competitive. (They tack on a 20% tip automatically.). The pool area was large and clean - no smoking there. If you go sign up for the Rewards Card (it's free) and you can get discounts on any spa treatment and other bennies. We will be going there again, especially mid-week when the room rates are much lower than on the weekend, which makes sense. read more

I can never say enough about Mt. Airy & what the property has to offer! I have been a guest previously, but I was married there on May 11th, 2024 & the service was nothing less than AMAZING! My husband & I selected the Elite Buffet Package for our guests. The food was delectable & top shelf spirits, great wines & a good selection of beers were served. The service was consistently stellar during our 2-day stay, with friendly & energetic staff, including Nicole McGlynn, the event coordinator who worked with us. She was calm, reassuring, professional, patient, attentive, friendly & organized. Loved her!!! Thank you all for a magical stay! Our honeymoon suite was included in the package for 2 nights & it was clean, spacious & romantic to say the least! Even did a little gambling the night of the wedding & my husband won!
