Nightcap at Redd's Piano Bar - fun spot!

We had a perfect birthday dinner for two tonight. Our server Noah was super attentive and professional. Our table near the fireplace gave us warm respite from the cold outside weather. We were promptly greeted with delicious warm bread, herby and tasting of Parmesan and with whole cloves of nutty roasted garlic tucked inside. We have come here multiple times, but never tried the sushi before tonight. I had The Godfather roll with poached lobster (!), pickled daikon radish, avocado, tuna, yellowtail, saffron aioli, tobiko, chives. Super luxurious! Husband had a spicy tuna roll which was on point. As it was his birthday - he didn't hold back from there. An order of blue point oysters for him as well as the mushroom soup en croute - positively loaded with morels, cremini and porcini. I always opt for a filet here, this time with mushroom crust and bordelaise sauce. And creamed spinach because their version is my fave (manchego cheese! ... but not too much!). Hubby can't pass up the miso glazed Chilean sea bass here. Nor the asparagus! We tried the key lime pie and it was under a veritable mountain of meringue! Amazing!! Many take out boxes required tonight!

We came here for a family dinner with 10 people and everything was perfect! Our server was kind and attentive and our food arrived perfectly. Yes, it's expensive, but it's expected being inside Kalahari. Service is a tad slow if you're coming during dinner rush, but we came at 5 and it was fine. Our server was especially kind to our children. Steaks were perfectly cooked, pork was juicy, and even the sides were great.

Phenomenal experience from start to finish! If you're looking for a nice and romantic dinning experience, that just happens to specialize in steaks, Double Cut Steak House is your place! Located on the grounds of the Kalahari Resort, Double Cut is a sleek and sexy restaurant that just oozes style and class. Decorated in dark colors and pops of bright red, the restaurant has a modern, yet classic appeal. To be honest, they should really enforce a dress code, because the people I saw that came in looked like they just rolled out of bed or the pool. We were asked if we had food allergies, which we do, so the chef came out to personally discuss options that didn't include nuts. I thought that was a genuinely kind action. He literally took time out of his busy schedule to insure that we wouldn't be consuming anything that could potentially make us sick. Class act! I ordered the NY Strip, Mushrooms and Garlic mashed potatoes. Delicious! The steak was tender and cooked perfectly! The mushrooms and potatoes were wonderful. Now on to the dessert, because that's really why we came. DC has an ice cream sundae cart that they prepare table side that includes any and all toppings to make the perfect ice cream sundae. I mean, who can leave a restaurant sad when you're eating an ice cream sundae! A wonderful dinner that was prepared and served by a wonderful staff! We're huge fans!

Made reservations just to be on the safe side but it wasn't needed. (Went on a Thursday at 7pm) Service was on point, she was attentive to our table and needs. Checked up on us frequently. She was engaging, friendly and polite. Food was so good, cooked perfectly. Everything had flavor and just the right amount. Came to the piano bar the night before and it was crazy packed inside. Everyone was laughing, singing, drinking and having an overall good time.

The restaurant was huge and right next to a resort that had an animal kingdom kind of vibe. The curb appeal could of used some signage and care, but we were able to find our way. When arriving we were greeted by the front desk host and asked if we wanted seating. We had originally found this restaurant at n an Instagram "48 hour in the Poconos" post. So we were looking forward to dining. We did make reservations; however, the restaurant was a bit empty as we went in the late March early April. When you first walk in, there is a pretty large bar which had patron sitting at it. There are several rooms in which you can have small guest parties. We were seated in a large dining room area towards the back. The lighting was very dim not my favorite, but the ambience was one of a high-end steakhouse. We were greeted by our server who was extremely nice and attentive. They also provided us with selections and specials for the evening. One of the menus for the drink list was ripped. We started off with a glass of wine and a amaretto sour. Then they brought out homemade bread that had garlic and other herbs in it. It was not my favorite, which is another reason why I gave it three stars. The garlic was a very overwhelming as a whole clove was found in the piece of bread that I bit into. We then ordered an appetizer and for our entrée we got lamb chops and duck. The duck was cooked well and the lamb chops were also cooked to perfection. Both the duck and the lamb chops lacked taste. However, their portion size were very large. At the steakhouse, all sides are à la carte. So be prepared to bring your funds to spend on items that you may want to have For the entire table. The server was very accommodating and was able to provide us with condiments that did not originally come on the menu. For that, we were very thankful and it flavored our meals. Yet, for the price in which we paid, I felt that the meat and broccoli should have been flavored appropriately. The portion sides of the à la carte side dishes were large enough for two people to eat and also have leftovers. The taste for the side dishes was way better than the meat selection. Their wine selection list was awesome and they give you whatever dessert you want as a slice if you're celebrating a birthday. If I were in the Poconos, I don't think I would revisit this steakhouse as they're probably others that provide much tastier food for a price that's not astronomical. Yet, it was a good night overall. Food we enjoyed: Brussel sprouts, braised beef tacos for appetizers, and baked potato.

Over rated. I was really craving a good steakhouse meal, for those who know..know. For apps we got the calamari and the bread. Both was very mid and Ive definitely had better especially with the price point. I did order the hibiscus martini that was super delicious and prob the only thing i enjoyed on the menu. My husband ordered the smoked old fashioned. If youre waiting for a wow factor ...there isnt one. Just the price. My husband got the Ny strip, i got the lamb chops and we shared the creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. The lamb chops were one of the worst ive ever had. It didnt even taste like ANYTHING. Seriously. I dont even know how to explain it but do not order! The steak well..it was just steak. The mashed potatoes were yum and the creamed spinach too but this meal was over all disappointing esp after dishing close to $300 for this. Will not return

Very big swanky place to eat at the water park. There weren't many tables filled at 6:30 on a Friday. We did make a reservation. Other reviews mentioned the long wait for food but we didn't wait longer than I would have expected to, drinks came out in 10 min food like 20-30 min. What actually annoyed me was the crayon scribbles on the adult menu. Clearly a kid got to a couple of menus and they should have replaced those pages. It takes you out of the fancy experience to have a dirty menu with crayon scribbles on it. The waitress brought out two bread loaves for us with chive butter. I asked for olive oil because the bread was a bit dry. Tasted better in olive oil to me than with the butter. We got hanging bacon. 4 strips for $19. It tasted like regular bacon, slightly sweeter. Calamari app was very salty. I liked the garlic sauce that came with it though. I got the marshmallow cocktail for $17. Sweet, creamy and delicious. I got two and it got me happy drunk. The marshmallows on it as garnish were cold even though they were torched. I got the Caesar salad for my entree with grilled chicken. $15 + $7 for chicken which Is probably the most affordable and biggest portion item you can get here. Lots of crispy Romain lettuce, anchovies and a perfectly cooked soft boiled egg. The dressing on it was light and the chicken had a strong but delicious grilled flavor. I loved it! My husband had a burger, he got it well done and it was dry though he liked it. Also it was very salty. The burger did not come with fries and the waitress brought them over for us but then charged us $7 for them. It was my nephews birthday and he wanted the filet, he got the adult size and finished most of it and really liked it. It was very plain though to me. He put a lot of salt on it because of that. Other nephews got the lobster Mac and cheese, it was very big and he couldn't finish it all. I didn't see much lobster in there though. Other family members got rib eye and sea bass and they liked it a lot. The bourbon glazed mushroom side was big but tasted like earth, no bourbon or other flavor to them. Our waitress knew we had a birthday and at the end brought over a slice of cheesecake complimentary which was really nice. The bill was $500 for a family of 6 The prices are too expensive but all in all we had a great experience and enjoyed our food.

We started with the calamari which was perfectly cooked, seasoned and breaded. There were breaded veggies mixed into it which were perfectly cooked! Kids filet minon was delish, but it was tiny-my son devoured it! Should have opted to get him a larger meal. My hubby enjoyed his steak and baked potatoes on the side. I was excited to try the beet salad with prosciutto, goat cheese and arugula and was highly disappointed! Unfortunately I didn't take a photo but it included a large bed of arugula with a sprinkle of cheese, tiny bits of beet and barely visible bits of prosciutto. The highlight of the night, however, was the ice cream station!! They bring your ice over to your table with a wheeled table including a plethora of toppings!! It was a dream!!! Our kids LOVED every minute of it!! Totally with the experience! Toppings amongst toppings amongst.... Good service, nice ambience, good quality food-will know what to opt for next time we visit.

Located in the depths of the kalihari resort, this steakhouse is pretty good! Awesome service, and good food. The hanging bacon is awesome. You also get this loaf of bread that is addictive. The prime rib sandwich was delicious as was the burger. Ribeye steak was cook correctly and very tasty. The loaded baked potato is a meal in itself. French onion soup is a staple and was tasty. After eating head into the piano bar for fun. Live piano music and fun.

this place is NICE. It's a high end restaurant with high end fancy food. The complimentary bread - it is wrong if i say it's the best thing there? It was so delicious we asked for more. So so so good. I got the shrimp tempura as an appetizer- it's not the kind of shrimp tempura you would expect but I loved it. The tuna tartare was good but not my favorite in the whole world. I had higher expectations. The server was amazing and he was perfectly attentive and kind

I think we caught them on an off night. Service was really spotty and detached and the oyster appetizer was sent back because it had an odd medicine taste. That was the first time I ever sent anything back in a restaurant--I usually lie and say it was good but just don't eat it, however these oysters tasted, smelled and looked spoiled. The server took them off the bill but never apologized or offered an alternative--she never even told us they would be taken off, in fact she never spoke about it once. Strange. The entrees were surprisingly good. The pistachio pesto pasta (the only pasta on the menu) was a delicious vegetarian alternative considering that this is primarily a steak/sushi restaurant. The filet was good but could have been a little larger for the price and it needed some type of demi-sauce. Sides were just meh which was disappointing for an upscale steak house. The dining area is elegant, modern, woody and dark. Roomy and quiet for a steak house. A nice place to go to impress a date or important client. Not really kid friendly which is strange because it is located in a children's amusement park??

Stumbled across this restaurant and stopped by for a few glasses of wine during my stay at khalahari. 2 nights in a row. Who says you can't be solo dolo? I used to mind that, but now that I'm older... a girl needs her drink and doesn't care bout being solo anymore. The bartender Jeffrey was very funny & nice. That's all I remember about the bar on the nights I came solo. Anyway, the ambiance is super romantic. Dim lights . Smooth music. Definitely stop by for a date night. Onto the food. Had dinner here on my bday night. The hanging maple wood bacon - omg, it's a must try. It was so delicious. It came literally hanging (see below photo) and the toast it came with. It was A1. I don't really eat carbs, and I ate 2 slices of the toast. So that really says a lot. Oh, the poached scallops appetizer was fantastic. Scallops cooked to perfection. It's not undercooked or rubbery overcooked. My sirloin steak w crabmeat was ok. My asparagus was def overcooked - mushy. Bleh. They have happy hour on Wednesdays from 5p-7p half off their specialty drinks. I'll be back the next time I'm in town though.

From the moment we made our reservation, the staff went above and beyond to make our evening special, asking if it was a special occasion and greeting us with a personalized note on our table and flutes of champagne upon being seated. The ambience was perfection, cozy yet spacious, with a warm fireplace, perfect lighting, and comfortable seating that made us feel relaxed and pampered. Our server, CJ, was absolutely top-notch, attentive without being intrusive, and added so much to our experience. We were treated to complimentary potato wedges as a taster, and I had the best Moscow Mule I've had in over a year--setting the perfect tone for the evening. We started with the bacon mac and cheese, perfectly savory and indulgent. For our main courses, my husband enjoyed a New York Strip, and I had the crabcake with fries. I also ordered the maple sriracha Brussels sprouts with bacon, which were out of this world. The portion sizes were generous, making it easy to take home leftovers for a second helping the next day. Dessert was the bread pudding with caramel butter topping, a decadent finish that left us completely satisfied, and the dark chocolate sea salt frogs that came with our bill were such a thoughtful, personalized touch; little details like that make memories. As parents of three, nights out are rare, and indulgence like this is even rarer. This was truly a night to remember. Even as a local for 19 years, I'm embarrassed it took us this long to visit, but I can now say with confidence...we will be back. Bravo to the entire kitchen staff and CJ for making our anniversary unforgettable. If you're looking for a restaurant that goes above and beyond, this is it!

As an out of towner who has access to amazing cuisine options in my area this restaurant gets three stars and that's being nice. When you walk in it's like a motel entrance. Literally it has all the tourist pamphlets lining the entrance to the hostess stand which doubles as the front desk of the hotel. It's not welcoming and feels cheap. To get to the restaurant you walk down a narrow long bar area where plenty of locals (I'm assuming) were enjoying happy hour. Loud and unwelcoming imho. We were seated in a two top which is super close to another two top. When I requested a booth in leu of the table (every booth was empty) the hostess said they were all reserved. Noting during our entire dining experience there were empty booths. Felt a little shady. Server was very sweet and great personality but unfortunately was not very fast. Every time she finally came back to the table she was apologizing for taking so long. She had other tables but wasn't in the weeds that we could see (in my youth I worked both as a server and hostess). The homemade bread we were looking forward to wasn't fresh and it was lacking taste as was the dipping oil. Adding salt and pepper helped the oil dip. Even though we were both hungry we didn't eat all the bread. That's a problem. We ordered clams as an appetizer. Again, tasteless needed salt, no flavor otherwise. For dinner, I ordered a seafood trio with Brussel sprouts. My husband ordered a fillet cooked, medium with a baked potato. The crabcake lacked flavor had way too much filling tasted like it came from Cisco. After a second bite, I would not eat anymore. The shrimp was ho hum and the lobster not that great either. My husband's steak was very bland no flavor in the meat even though it was cooked to temperature with a slight char on the outside. Because of the slow service and lack of flavor in the food we just wanted to check and get out of there as quickly as possible. What a bust for over $200.

We got to watch people do little jumps, wipe out, and careen down the hill, which was more fun than watching the football games on the wall. Location is very casual. Prices are comparable with New York City, which is an unpleasant surprise for many.
