Half veggie and half meat
Lisa R.

This place was better than I excepted! Always drive by and never went in! Well we ordered a half and half veggie and the buck special my husband is a carnivore.. me I'll take the veggies. It was so cheesy and the crust was so delicious! Would definitely return and recommend. Also went back and brought my friends. Service is easy and food comes out fast.

Pepperoni pizza

Went here for lunch at least once a week once we found out about it. It's big open space inside that has a bar and plenty of tables. It can get a little loud at times with it being so open and having the bar with a game on. The menu isn't that big but everything on it was made well. The pizza was always a big slice that was thin and had a little bit of a crisp to it and had a good amount of toppings. Salads were a good size as well even for the small ones and always seemed to be fresh ingredients. Sandwiches were really good I recommend the meatball sandwich. Everyone that worked here were as friendly and we always enjoyed talking with them. Don't let the outside of the restaurant fool you as it looks like a big barn and we drove by several times and didn't realize it was such a great place.

Great pizza! Five stars for quality, texture and taste. (Ranchers Feast 12", original crust)

Amazing people, pizza and cocktails. I especially love coming in quick to grab a slice ! However, their hood system does not work. Plan on smelling like smoke. It's super Smokey in here !

Boy do we miss Buffalo Bump! First, other reviews have mentioned the overwhelming haze of smoke when you walk in the door. Obviously their ovens aren't ventilated properly or exhaust fans aren't working. Second, the CONSTANT LOUD BANGING is f'ing annoying. Came in for dinner and our receipt was time stamped 5:58 pm....we ordered an appetizer and a small pizza ($32!!!!!). At 6:26 pm when we still hadn't gotten our APPETIZER, I went to the register and asked what was going on. One of the very young kids behind the counter told me he would go check on it. He came back and said the appetizer was just getting ready to go in the oven. When I complained further, someone a little older than a 16-year-old came up and told me their pizza takes 25 minutes to cook (not that they tell you that when you order). I told her "it's been almost 30 MINUTES and we still didn't have our appetizer which hadn't even gone in the oven." We asked for a refund and left. What a shithole. Please, save your time and money and skip this dump. You'd get better service from Joe Biden

How could the new owner think this is ok ? We were mortified

Spacious couches and lounge areas mixed with bar seating and smaller high top tables makes this a great spot for groups big or small. Can't imagine any circumstance where a party wouldn't feel welcome here or appreciate the layout. Service was great - all the bartenders dress "on brand" and able to make suggestions while ensuring our drinks stayed as full as we wanted them too (but also totally good with us just being low key) Pro tip: They allegedly have the best grilled cheese and tomato soup in Bozeman, so guess I'll have to go back for that. One downside? They need to change their name! I can NEVER remember it and neither can my friends. Makes it less memorable in a spot that would otherwise be high on the list!

However, the most appealing one had strawberries in it, and they were out of them. They were also out of the tacos, which was a little surprising since we got there an hour after they opened. We ended up having the nachos and the oysters. The oysters were good. The nachos were OK. The drinks were also very underwhelming. My son had a Paloma and I have tasted way way better. The Devil's Toboggan EXCEEDED our expectations. We found this "randomly" and decided to go because of the prohibition vibes. The second you walk into the Toboggan, you step back in time. We were immediately greeted and sat at the bar. We ordered an old fashion and Huckleberry Lemon Drop (recommend both). Honestly, I don't think it matters what you order...it's going to be good. Let's talk about the customer service. A+ ladies and gents! We ended up having a great conversation with the bar back and other patrons which topped off the experience. P.S. if you like deviled eggs, get them. They are delicious, especially if they still have the ones with the sausage. #drool

The rooftop views alone are worth the visit -- mountains in every direction and such a great atmosphere, especially around sunset. There's also a free two-hour parking area directly across the street which made it super easy. We shared the bison burger and the peach bourbon wings, and both were excellent. The wings especially had the perfect mix of sweet and spicy. Drinks were also great. What really made the experience stand out though was the service. Our server was a 10th-generation Montanan (wish I remembered her name!) and she was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive the entire time. I usually don't haunt hotel bars but I had a F&B credit and I read really good reviews about this place, so we decided to come in and check it out. We sat at the bar and that was a great idea. The bartender was friendly and made us laugh a lot. She was also very good at her job and made us some excellent cocktails. We ordered from the cocktail menu, but she was ready to make whatever you wanted, except for a Captain and Mountain Dew because unfortunately they don't have Mountain Dew at the hotel. And don't worry, it wasn't me ordering that. Not that I'd shame anyone for their cocktail choices but the gentleman and lady next to us had some interesting combinations they wanted to order. We also ordered the carrot cake pops. Man those were good too. We contemplated coming in the next day for some more. We liked them that much. The ambiance of this rooftop bar is also fantastic. It's large and decorated really well but the piece de resistance was the outside and the views of Downtown Bozeman. The cozy fire pits and comfy seating were very appealing. I only wish we didn't stroll in from our hotel room and wore more clothes so we could have sat out there the whole time. Oh well, there's always next time.

Honorable mention for the Here Kitty Kitty tequila drink & Prairie Pot-Pie which just melted with each bite. I can't say enough good things about 1864. Additionally, our server Torren was wonderful. We gave them another shot last night and waited 15 minutes to even get approached for a drink, and no one came over. So we left and went to Stockman's (excellent!) 1864 is great venue that is entirely wasted.

At a near century old establishment serving steaks the whole time is a hard thing to do. There are lots of restaurants that pivot and change and use burgers to get by, but steaks the whole time is a work that needs to be celebrated. Sure Texas is known for their cattle production and Nebraska for their grain grown to feed cattle, but the beef here, is grass grown, local that could have walked here and there is something to be said about that. That's more than dance with who brung you, but rather eat em where they lay. Apparently this used to be a Butcher Shop / Bank, interesting combo before 1937. Family owned and operated for generations. I came here 3 times while I was passing thru they do alot of things well. The BYO burger upgraded to Bison is a rarity and a must. The Fried Chicken sandwich is hearty and balanced with the horseradish, tomato, pickles. It doesn't even need cheese. Rocky Mountain oysters and tender with just enough chew. The breaded cheese curds hold up well to dipping sauces which most normal curds dont. Rocker sauce is good, but never figured out what was in it. Tangy, sweet. Loved the Wedge salad, the ranch was outstanding. Prime rib after 5pm, upgrade your sides to loaded baked potato and a wedge side salad, it's worth it. The 10 oz is more like 12 and the 16 oz is more like 18. Great crust and seasoning, zesty horseradish. Wall to wall pink, tender, juicy. No sauces here like au poive or a bernaise. Save room for dessert their carrot cake is moist, soft and sweet. the peanut butter pie is a downhome classic and the oreos, my god. Service is great, prices are good for the area. Ambiance is excellent. It's a great representation of what an area can do without trying to be like someone else. It's especially nice when some other local steakhouses are no longer around. The ambiance definitely had a country western theme. We ordered Rocky Mountain oysters as an appetizer. I've had them in numerous other places and I thought these were the most "Stringy" or "tough" kind of like there were strings of meat that didn't want to let go... so it wasn't incredibly mouth pleasing but I know it's probably more the bulls fault than the restaurants fault! prime rib I had was cooked very well and the au jus had good flavor is probably the reason for the 4th star. They did forget my mushrooms though so it keeps it at a 4 star for me. We will be back though to try it again. The bar next door has a large dance floor with the live music so that is nice.

I have rarely seen a menu where I wanted to order 1 of each but believe me this one brought my accent out. Out of the gate, very quick seating, excellent service! Started with Brussels Sprouts with God's favorite flavoring bacon, with Parmesan, with...sit it down Alabama white sauce. Now, I met Alabama white where it was invented, I love it, and this combination will make Brussels sprouts famous. But, I had to try the hush puppies. Now, real southerners know a good hush puppy is the holy grail of delicious. I'm telling you, these remind me of sitting next to the 'Hooch. Fluffy, crispy, dark...I'm gonna grab another one before this review ends. I chose the fried catfish, Mac & Cheese with creamed corn. Now, I tried to stop eating the cornbread crust and came close to success. The fish was perfection. There are fish coming here to rise above their station! The sides were uniquely and magically delicious but I have to talk about my husband's food. He had brisket, ribs, Cole slaw and smoked green beans. I've never seen this man not clean his plate, but everything was so generous his full meter got pegged. Tons went home, everything was so elevated the Cole slaw, everything. I think the white bread was special (it was hella) fresh. Now, here's a fact, all tables are high or picnic style. I love the idea for a group, but I would have appreciated a back. At a table that my legs wouldn't fall asleep at. If that's a deal breaker for you, order it to go. Pardon me while I wipe the drool off. Enjoy, this place is beyond good!
