We need more places like this in Converse. Everything was delicious and we will definitely be back! We got a parking spot, but it would definitely be difficult to park close during peak hours. Our waitress gave us a few suggestions for places to park across the street in case we come during a busy time. :) read more

The Brunch Spot - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Converse, Texas

This used to be another breakfast spot, and saw that a new business had moved in and decided to try it out. Decor is minimal but works well and the staff are super friendly and welcome you in when you come in. Coffee is strong and good! My daughter and I shared the chicken and waffle. Yes the wings were small but were loaded with flavor and juicy! The waffle was also delicious! Bacon was crispy. Nicholas was our server and was polite and kept my daughter's water glass full. Price wise it wasn't horrible either-29.23 for two coffees, chicken with waffle and one side of bacon. Definitely a quiet spot with good food to try out read more

Don't you dare die without stopping by this restaurant. This place offers a casual and relaxing atmosphere. The staff was polite and attentive. In these polarizing environments, we saw people from different backgrounds at ease and enjoying good food and each other's company. This business has a bright future and endless possibilities. They have set a high bar for their contemporaries. Keep showcasing African American Excellence. Did I mention the food is second to none? read more

Food was great! And to add on, the butter pecan coffee was absolutely tasty. Their service was excellent as we were tended to very often not having to flag down or try to get someone to help. I ordered their French toast plate and everything from the eggs to the syrup was tasty. I will be returning soon to get a mimosa and maybe more tasty biscuits read more

This place is an absolute vibe! And of course the food is amazing! My wife is a snob when it comes to her espressos and lattes but she was quite impressed and loves their lattes. The service is also on point. As soon as you walk in the staff greets and welcomes you warmly. If they are running around (because this place is always busy not matter day of week) they always at least acknowledge your entrance and attempts to get you seated as soon as possible. And the food! Insanely good with beautiful presentation! We need to remember to grab some pics next time we are in lol :) read more

Start from the last bite. Sadly we ordered a biscuit to share and received a Pillsbury Grands Butter biscuit...I kid you not. $5 dollars for a canned biscuit...I was definitely not happy about that. The brisket skillet was what I ordered and wasn't too happy with the potatoes. The brisket was meh but when it's not freshly smoked you can tell. Ordered my eggs over easy and when I cut into the yolk, they were cooked hard basically as they didn't run and ooze over the brisket. Had pico de gallo but that was probably not needed as it wasn't recognizable as it brought nothing to the plate. My wife had scrambled eggs and bacon with an unforgettable waffle. Unforgettable because we will remember why the place wasn't very good at all. Not sure we will ever try it again but if invited by friends or family, will maybe return. read more

Superb service and exceptional food! This is my go-to place for chicken and waffles. The atmosphere is very relaxing.

Food and service were great. It's a typical breakfast/brunch spot. Latte was on point. My daughter ordered the waffle plate and all was good. I had the shrimp and grits with the special sauce and it was good. Overall a 3/5 only because there was nothing in that stood out; which isn't bad. Vibe is good, friendly staff and food was as expected. read more

Very good but bad parking lot its very small for how popular the restaurant has been.

Had a few moments to spare and decided to check them out... I got the dine and donate meal; two eggs, one pancake, one sausage , one bacon, one ham slice with a side of 2pc chicken with an orange juice. Orange juice was goooood. Chicken seasoned really well. Really crunch. Pancake was 10/10!!! Idk what they put in the batter but it was amazing. Nice spot. No long wait, at the time I went. Prices was decent OH, I got the dine and donate bc I thought it was great that they donate 20% to charity. Hopefully that's what they're doing. Customer service was amazing also. The young ladies spoke before I even go in the door good, as with everyone after me. My sever checks on me an appropriate amount of times. I appreciate you all. See you soon! read more

The Brunch Spot is really good! I loved my French toast and eggs. They have a bakery next to them which has cookies, muffins and all sorts of goodies! I like what they did with the place too. There's a bar where they have fresh flowers against the front wall. They have a decent sized space for dining in or you can carry out. Everyone is friendly and they have great service. read more

The Brunch Spot - Brunch bowl and mimosa and some nice scenery. - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Converse, Texas

A visit to The Brunch Spot starts with the parking lot -- and that's actually a good sign. We were fortunate to find a space, but the steady flow and short wait for parking tells you right away the food inside is worth it. The meal began with a cappuccino that immediately set the tone. It was bold, rich, and topped with a thick, hearty foam. Honestly, the coffee alone could make this place a destination stop for breakfast lovers. Our server, Nicholas, was exceptional. He read the table right away and could tell we were first-time visitors. Instead of just taking an order, he guided us through three popular breakfast choices that first-timers often enjoy. His recommendations were thoughtful and clearly came from knowing the menu well. We ultimately chose the steak breakfast with a house biscuit, grits, and two over-easy eggs. Nicholas spoke highly of the chef's preparation of the steaks -- emphasizing their tenderness, flavor, and generous size -- and his enthusiasm proved absolutely correct when the plate arrived. The steak was tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The house biscuit was hearty and fresh, the grits creamy and well seasoned, and the eggs exactly as ordered. From the food and atmosphere to the order accuracy and attentive service throughout the meal, everything was handled with care and professionalism. For the communities of Live Oak and Converse, this place is truly a hidden corner gem that deserves the attention it's getting. We'll definitely be back. read more

The food was great! Great service, the owner came and treated every table. Only thing to note: the wait for parking is not so great.

Have you ever went to a restaurant and you are smiling and happy during you whole experience? That is what I had this Sunday. I I joked a great brunch at the Brunch Spot. My family (of 3) & I stopped by today on a whim. We actually attempted to go elsewhere, but decided to head back towards our area & remembered we wanted to try The Brunch Spot. We're so glad we did! The wait for 1200 on a Sunday was reasonable and their tracking system was sufficient. The menu had enough options for everyone, in my opinion. We were seated & was able to order rather quickly. Tabby stopped by to welcome us which was very nice of her; apparently they just celebrated their 1 year anniversary. Better (us) late than never, right? The food took about 20 minutes to come out, but again ... Sunday afternoon. Everything was fresh & hot and tasted great. It's a small space with tight parking, but they're making it work. Long story short: We'll be back. I hope The Brunch Spot remains a staple in the community for a long time to come. Blessings. read more

Great food and service provided by Nicholas. We had the chicken and waffles. The chicken was delicious and fried perfectly. This is truly a family restaurant. Especially if you have an elderly family member. It is easy to enter the parking lot. Handicap spots are available under shade trees. Quick walk to the front door. Smooth sidewalks... no cracks or tripping hazards. Tables close to the front door. Restrooms are clean and large. Lots of natural light. Staff is friendly, helpful, and patient. Food is really good. I highly recommend the Avacado Toast, eggs benedict, and hot chocolate (made with milk, not water. yum!) Also... decore is super cute. Location to take a selfie. Sunny walls. Best part...WOMAN OWNED business! Come out and show support! Blessings on your business. Happy holidays and happy new year. read more

I visited on a Sunday after church (11:00 am). The place was packed so I was expecting a wait and really good food. Sadly, I got the wait but really bland food. I was by myself so they sat me at a window bar seat and left me alone for 20 minutes. No one acknowledged me at all. Ni water, nothing. Just when I was about to get up and leave, a waiter came and asked if I had ordered yet? I ordered a coffee and the chicken & waffles plate. The coffee came right away. The food was another 15 minutes. The chicken was okay, rather greasy. The waffle was bland like they forgot the salt in the batter. I saw the waiter twice, when he brought my coffee and my order. Never refilled either. He did rush me out though by bringing my check before I was done. I won't be returning. read more

Everything about this spot was perfect! Food and the service were great. Would definitely go again!

I recently dined at the Brunch Spot and can take it or leave it. The best part of my experience wS the service. I ordered the chicken and waffles plate. The chicken was pretty good but the waffle was standard in size and taste. The ambience is real laid back with music. It was easy to relax there. The place is small and there is not a lot of parking. read more

I'm sorry I missed the opportunity to post a picture of my plate, but I promise you, that says a lot! I ordered the Pancake Plate and it was beyond delicious! They're bigger than the average size & they have a little something extra that gives them a reason to crave more! The picture captured is a friend's plate. As soon as we sat down, we were greeted & seated. After ordering it was only about 15 minutes or so before we received our food...on a Saturday...during Brunch PrimeTime! I absolutely love the presentation of the food! The food is prepared on black plates & gives off an elegant look for glamorous pictures! They also have a Take Out side that is completely separate from the dine-in experience. I will definitely be back! read more
