Beer and Pacifico

The bar is popping. There are a lot of people here, but I ordered a hotdog because you know as an individual would after they're drinking for a little bit, they need some sustenance. This hotdog showed up. It is cold as fuck and I don't know what to do about it the beer is good. The shots are good. The ladies are fucking hot as fuck other than the one whale like standing like 3 feet in front of me but like don't worry about that shit you know.

Really cool interior with great vibes. One of the bartenders was kinda rude and dismissive but I got my drink nonetheless. Lots of seating available

Came in for a couple drinks the atmosphere is very plain and it's basically a large open bar with no decor or vibe. The drinks were good the only downside was that the vent above us was dropping and falling on me . The bar tender was friendly and helpful.

Eddie our bartender was absolutely the best we've ever had at a bar! He was so thoughtful and attentive to me and my girl friends. I used to come to the Brig years ago and after 4 years, I returned with close friends. He exceeded our expectations of hospitality and we will be coming back again! Thank you, Eddie for such a wonderful evening.

Came here on a Sunday after brunch to enjoy some cocktails and play some pool. Bartender was super nice and made really strong drinks. I actually indulged in a hotdog which I never do and it was delicious. And yes, I ate a hotdog after brunch. Played some pool just had a grand old time.

I honestly can't say enough great things about The Brig in Venice! For several months now, my run club, Run Happy Los Angeles, has been gathering here every Tuesday at 6pm, and it's become the highlight of my week. The atmosphere is perfect for post-run fun, and the staff couldn't be friendlier. We love hanging out, enjoying drinks, and sharing some snacks together. The recent addition of hot dogs has been a neat treat. As someone who doesn't drink much, I've been really impressed with their mocktails - they're delicious and always hit the spot! If you're looking for a welcoming spot with a great vibe and amazing people, The Brig is the place to be. Highly recommend! There is live music on Tuesdays as well as other nights and there are always people around the pool table, too. Thank you, The Brig, for being our home!!!

This place is ok for a spot to grab beers in Venice. I've only come here with a large group of people and only during the weekdays at night. The bonus here is the large outdoor seating area with picnic tables. They do not serve food here. The beer selection is good but not great and the same with the customer service. Each time I've gone there's been some live music and people enjoying a game at the pool table.

The locals brought me here and it did not disappoint. The inside was a fun experience with loud music and a modern atmosphere. The bar had lots of places to stand and a pool table. However, we sat outside because there were lots of picnic tables and heat lamps to keep you warm! Not to mention the many food trucks around (even though we ordered pizza)! It's a great place to go and dance or hangout with friends and catch up! I got several margaritas and each one was better than the last! Highly recommend for a night out in Venice area!

Let's keep yelp Real!!! I've been here during the day and in the evening, its a good time once you get your drinks. Real rating would be 4.2/5 because I would come back with more people. Kind of a 70'sish vibe which I dig. Its a spacious bar with options to sit inside and outside, standing or sitting which I appreciate because it gets crowded. You should expect to spend some money here because its in Venice on Abbot Kinney...wish it wasn't that way, but hey. My gripe about the Brig is the service; its either slow or a little unfriendly. That being said I have not had a bad cocktail here and they have a great selection of spirits or beer.

Jimmy A.

Three stars seems a travesty! Great bar at the end of Abbot Kinney and a welcome respite from shopping /cavorting. Great selection of tropical themed drinks, expertly prepared. The interior is mid century modern meets modern dive bar...very clean. The staff is very LA cool...friendly enough but very adept at their trade. Drinks are really fantastic. We had the bourbon punch which was great as were the martinis. Decent wine list and selection of beers...many in a can. Pool table was popping and the outdoor area was very hospitable. Loved the music and sports on the televisions. Great bourbon selection .

Nice bar in Abbot Kinney, solid DJ and warm atmosphere with a huge dance floor; definitely the best place to hang out in the area!

We finished with the peach sorbet, which was fine, nothing amazing, but hit the spot. The service was super, Johnny on the spot, attentive throughout. Definitely appreciated that. Place has a nice vibe. It's casual and pleasant. We sat on the patio, though the inside has more aura. Found free meter parking but you can valet. One thing worth mentioning is the automatic 20% fee added to the bill. The restaurant makes it clear that this is not a gratuity or tip, but rather a fee used to fund operations. Our total for two came to $179.09, with no alcohol but we did have two bottles of water. And with the new sales tax rate + this 20% fee it all just feels overpriced. Something to be aware of before dining. Otherwise, a good experience and definitely a place I'd return to.

The Lincoln House | (Utility Room) - 9/10…read more Hidden in the back of the Lincoln house the utility room is a quaint get away from downtown covina. The speakeasy is unique and even serves full menu of great food! Aesthetic & Ambiance: 9.5/10 - it was very prohibition themed and the menus being price/luggage tags was very fun. Came on a saturday night at 6:30 reservation and it was very quiet with us being the only table most of the evening. The outside restaurant has live bands which can be a little loud. Service: 100/10 - Markley was the bartender and the only one who operates the speakeasy, she's not only the best bartender Ive had custom drinks from, but she also makes each individual product herself. She explained every part of the drinks and ingredients, and even offered to make any kind of drink we'd want if there was nothing on her menu. Drinks: 10/10 - if you like cocktail bars this is it...EVERY drink was a unique in flavor and handcrafted by Markley from steep to serve. house-infused liquors and tinctures- ONE OF A KIND BAR Food: 8.5/10 - all around great some dishes better than others Bread & Butter - 9/10 great toasted sourdough with a garlic butter and the butter was perfect salty-addition. Calamari - 7/10 a little too breaded for my liking with the rings and tentacles being a little dry. Deviled eggs: 7.5/10 interesting they were fried, but had great flavor all over Mongolian Beef: 8/10 very good flavor, and rice was tasty, but the sauce was a little salty. Cajun chicken pasta: 9.5/10 chicken was tender, pasta was cooked perfectly, sauce was delicious, and the sausage was a great addition. I'd easily drive an hour from LA again to come here!

Dim lighting, a touch of rustic, and just enough polish to set the tone without overdoing it. But I was glad I came to this place. Love the atmosphere. It was energetic, a bit loud, and has a cooled retro night bar with neon signs. The alcohol display behind the bar was a spectacular view/design. It's high, making it looking pretty against the dim backdrop. We ordered four dishes, Dan Dan Mian, sichuan eggplant, chili wonton, and duck bao. The Dan Dan was unique. I didn't expect it to be spicy like all the other ones I've tried. But it was amazing! All of them were! Reservations are strongly recommended since it gets filled up pretty easily. Lastly, I want to give our waiter, Peter, a huge shoutout for being so attentive and engaging. He was on top of it! Great energy and very friendly.

The…read morerestaurant does not have a parking lot but metered parking in the front that ends at 8pm during weekdays. The restaurant was pretty empty on that Tuesday night. There must have been 3-4 parties. That night the hostess divided diners and bar patrons between the "two rooms" (the restaurant has a bar in the middle that divided the room.) We let the hostess know that we were a party of two and she seated us between two large groups in the "other" room. It was weird seating to say the least. Our table was at the curve or the booth seating and was too close to another seated party. You needed to squeeze in to get to the booth seat and my +1 volunteered to scoot in a tight pathway. Because we were between the two groups, it was extremely loud. The restaurants aesthetic is really hip. I don't remember the space at the entrance, but the room that we were in had an eye catching mural and the booth area that we were seated in made a face (with the wall being a pair of eyes and the two long booth seats meeting to make a nose.) Unfortunately, lighting was very low and I could barely see the dishes for the second half of the meal. Food was tasty. We ordered the XO fatty noodle (no bean sprouts), orange chicken and Sichuan eggplant. Everything came out hot once they were ready. I had to hold back from eating all of the orange chicken. The XO noodles, not sure if it was because we customized the dish, was too salty though.. Staff were calm to expressionless. Person who came for the bill was wiping our table while we were packing our leftovers. I didn't appreciate how they stayed with us when we were paying on their handheld machine. Overall, I enjoyed the food, but did not have the best dine in experiences.

To round out the entrees, the pastas (pappardelle and linguini with clams) were perfectly al dente. Lastly, the tiramisu was out of this world.
