The same owner and cook from the beginning a few years ago!! My wife and I love this place. We've been here a few times and has not disappointed us. This particular time we were craving brisket and it melted in our mouths. We shared the Full 1 lb brisket meal. Added Cole slaw, side salad and 1/2 skillet cornbread!! The establishment is an old house turned tavern. Nicely decorated and lots of TV to take care of the sports needs you have. You can also sit outside when it's nice out.

One evening I made a special trip down Riverside to visit. I really enjoyed this stop and will have to make a special trip again in the future. For starters, their smoked & stuffed jalapeños are delightful ($10)! Sausage, cream cheese, and cheddar are all inside, wrapped with bacon and smoked. They come served with house BBQ sauce on the side, but you may not even need it. The smoke flavor is really there on the bacon and mixes well with the creamy filling. For dinner, the naan street tacos are a solid choice. Pulled pork, peach BBQ, source cream, pickled onion, and green onion are packed inside of garlic naan and served taco style ($16). This is served with a very large side of mac and cheese. It is quite a filling meal! The tacos were great and the naan holds up really well to the juices and sauces, as compared to a soft corn shell.

We found 2 seats at the bar, and a young lady wearing a bucket hat waited on us. I asked if the kitchen was still open (it was around 11 pm on Sat.) and she said yes. I ordered the fish & chips, with a bottle of Kentucky Bourbon Ale. Boyf ordered a pour of bourbon, and a burger. My entree look fine but was missing the cole slaw. I asked for it, and there was some confusion whether is came with or not. The other bartender may have been new, but bucket hat girl it did and I got a pretty large side of it. Everything tasted good, and I wouldn't hesitate to come back if in the area again.

There are a few gals who know how to serve, but not sure they all know to work together like a team. The manager is trying hard to fill in the gaps, and is so helpful. She got our drinks after about 10 min of us sitting at a table. The ambience is loud, crazy and overstimulating. The music alternated between a TV music video station, the jukebox and a live band with 2 of them competing at times. I liked the band and appreciated the music. I wish they would turn off the jukebox. There is A LOT going on with Keno, 10+ TVs that I could see, beer posters and ads everywhere. Tables low tops, high tops, bar chatter, cold breezes from the outside door with freezing temps, and just seems like a place that echos every sound. I can tune it all out, but some may not. Is it a sports bar, gambling bar, local watering hole, dive bar restaurant, outdoor lovely lounge with cool fire pit, or live music stop? Yup all of them!

They have daily food and drink specials, so make sure to check the board when you walk in. I have enjoyed their sandwiches, fish tacos, and salads over the years. Today's review is on the pulled pork BBQ sandwich. Mine came loaded with pork and tangy bbq sauce with some coleslaw on the bun. My side was the APG house salad which is not only very tasty, but a beautiful work of food art! The accompanying vinaigrette dressing is a perfect pairing, tangy flavor that partners well with the feta, sunflower seeds and craisens in the salad. Service is always excellent. Great spot to dine in the warmer weather, as they have a nice private patio on the side of the building.

We decided to go to Stadium instead, and overall, we were pretty impressed. The staff were all very friendly, the food was very good, and the atmosphere was quintessential sports bar. Their food menu isn't huge but does have a nice variety of sports bar pub grub. Their libations menu is big and they have a big draft beer selection. We started with an order of crispy hicken tenders w/Chipotle ranch sauce. The tenders were very juicy and nicely seasoned. They didn't need the chipotle ranch sauce but the sauce made them even better. After that, I went with the mushroom and Swiss burger with tater tots. My boss decided to have the same along with a bowl of overloaded potato soup. My burger was super tasty but I thought my tots could've been seasoned a little better. My boss thought the same of the tots but enjoyed everything else. Overall, great experience, and I could see going back again.
