It's hard to find good brunch spots in our neck of the woods. Dover is a 35 minute drive but this was worth it. What's Brunch with out some booze? Bloody Mary's & Mimosas were consumed and were tasty. Once I saw a picture of the seared tuna, I had to give it a try and it was a refreshing and delightful brunch dish. My other half enjoyed his "basic burger" and fries. Next go around at The Brick- I need to try the Avocado Tacos. I had my heart set on those but they don't have them on the brunch menu. Not complaining though because there are plenty of options on the brunch menu. The only reason I am giving 4 stars & not 5...the dry rub wings. They were delicious. Unfortunately, I think they came from a pigeon. They were so small (sorry forgot to get a picture). & when we got the check, they were $17.00. Came here after the other night after having not been in years, used to come see punk bands play upstairs, surprised by the revamped logo and menu, started off the night with the aztec iced coffee, which was great, and then ordered the 3 way roast beef which I was skeptical of being from Peabody smack dab in the middle of beef country. Regardless, the sandwich was great. My dining partner got the fried avocado tacos which looked good, and the lavender infused gin was great. Will return to try more things. They have a huge assortment of egg Benedict's but I ended up getting the Cali Benedict which basically consisted of what breakfast should consist of; bacon, avocado, tomato, cheddar and obviously the poached eggs. We went to Brick House for dinner. We sat at the bar. The service was great and the staff was very friendly. The drinks were really good. They serve some drinks in tiny buckets and have fruit infused vodka and tequila. The food was not very good. I got the hot chicken wrap - and it lacked flavor and was just ok. Came by recommendation from, a now questionable, friend. The space reeked of smoke and garbage. We stayed long enough to finish one drink and didn't even consider getting food. The crowed was grungy, as expected, but more than necessary for a restaurant in a cool town. There are many other places in town I would suggest trying. 08/15/21 - disgusting customer service. I was craving their blt. I have gone there multiple times (takeout). I ordered it again tonight for takeout and when I got home the blt completely changed. I called in and got the girl who I placed the order with. She told me that "usually people ordering here have the menu up". I told her that made sense but if I've gotten this time and time again why would I have it up. if something changed then you should let the customer know. She made me feel stupid and told me j should look at the menu. change is expected at any place but paying money for something and then trying to talk to a staff worker who makes you feel incompetent is really bad service. Came here for Sunday brunch with a big group. Menu looked promising and they had great options for drinks! I ordered the Big Ass Bloody which came topped with a bacon cheeseburger slider. The rest of the group opted for the mimosa pitchers. Unfortunately, we waited for our drinks for what felt like 20 minutes while we could see them readily prepared and sitting on top of the bar. The place wasn't nearly busy enough to excuse the service, wait staff seemed less than thrilled to be there and were walking around with nasty looks on their faces. I really want to love Brick House. I used to bring friends and family here - we had found a secret hole in the wall in Dover that could impress anyone you brought there. Unfortunately things have changed. Brick House has changed its seating so instead of the comfortable booths you're forced into seating where you're smushed into wooden benches that are both uncomfortable and unaccommodating. The food here used to be great, but has gone down hill over the last year. Prices have gone up and the portions and quality have gone down. We used to be here every Thursday for wing night - but the wings are so bad now we'd rather pay more down the street. The wings are small (and kind of slimy) and covered in so much butter/oil they're unappetizing. On our last visit we figured our wings were more suited for the trash than our stomachs. We'd come here Friday and Saturday, too... food changed from great, to good, to just alright, to bad. Why do I need to ask for a beer menu somewhere that has 20+ taps? Beer should be encouraged and shoved in my face. I ask for a beer menu, order a beer, and then the menu is taken away. Clearly I'm being told not to order a 2nd, right? I paid for a mug club membership last year, but barely any beers are eligible for it. But how would I even know which ones were if I'm not allowed a menu? Service here is slow, but if you've read any previous reviews that's what you expect. You'd want to come here, be mostly left alone, and enjoy a couple beers while waiting for your food. Slow service is fine if everything else makes up for it. Like I said, I want to love this place. I used to love it. I bought their mug. But management has driven it into the ground. If you're in Dover, walk past Brick House, acknowledge it for what it used to be, and go get a drink and some food somewhere else. There's a time and place where Brick House shines - 2016. While in Dover for work, I stumbled across this place. My coworkers had gone to UNOs for dinner, but I wanted to try out someplace local. When I saw they had burger specials on Monday nights, I headed right over. It did not disappoint! It was a rainy night, and hardly anyone was out, so there were only a few customers. I sat at the bar, and the bartender promptly brought over a menu. I ordered one of the drink specials and a burger. The food and drink were both served quickly, and with smiles. The TVs were on hockey playoffs, and they had my favorite wine on the menu. The burger was perfectly done, and the sweet potato fries were absolutely divine! The atmosphere was quiet, but friendly; I could see how it would get busy on a Friday or Saturday night! If I'm back in Dover, I will be sure to return, and recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty local establishment to try out! read more

Service was fantastic....biggest letdown was the menu and food. We used to be big fans of the menu...especially the brunch, and are here regularly. After not seeing any of our old favorites the other night, we found they recently partnered with another restaurant to provide food service just a couple weeks back. Though this pub has a good atmosphere for grabbing a drink with a group of friends, I wasn't very impressed with the service. It took over half an hour to get a hummus plate, and the waitress seemed to be annoyed by my asking about it. Though the plate was a good size, it wasn't yummy enough to make up for the unnecessarily long wait. Went to the Brickhouse to see a Death & Taxes show. It was a bit tough to find, but plenty of parking was available (metered, but free on the weekends and after 6pm). Very easy to get in, and got right upstairs. Cover was a little more than I would have liked for mostly local bands in a fairly small venue, at $9 per. The upstairs area was actually a good layout for a concert, and the acoustics were pretty good for a bar. The bartenders were quick and efficient, and the drinks weren't overpriced.
