There was only one employee assisting customers, and although he processed my return quickly, he rushed through it without weighing the package and left it unattended on the scale in plain view, given the value of the contents. I politely asked that it be placed under the counter with the other secured packages as part of standard process. Instead, the employee responded with visible irritation, delayed addressing my request for over 15 minutes and repeatedly ignored it while assisting other customers whose packages he immediately secured without issue, When I followed up, I was met with a rude remark rather than assistance. Notably, I was the only Asian in the store at the time which made the experience feel particularly uncomfortable and concerning. When I called UPS to file a complaint, they refused and said the only way to do that is to go to the physical store and speak to a manager. Do better, UPS.

While still on the phone, he opened the door, but only to let himself out, and casually told me, "We're closed for the day." There were still 50 minutes left before closing. I understand if he needed to take a call, but at the very least, acknowledge the customer. I waited about 2 minutes for him to finish, but ended up walking away because the phone conversation was laced with vulgar language and unprofessional behavior. I'll return another day to pick up my package, but this kind of treatment is unacceptable. A basic level of courtesy and respect goes a long way, and unfortunately, this store failed to show either.

Just moved back to the city and am now using them as my go to delivery spot for packages for our nonprofit for the homeless. It's under new management. But the staff here is still giving the same exceptional, friendly and helpful service that made me love this place. Danny, the owner, was amazing, especially seeing that we had 10 packages to pick up. They've remodeled the place too, making much easier to find what you need and take advantage of all the services they provide. So many of these mail box stores are not up to par. But 1HomeOffice is top notch and definitely a five star operation.

And the wait for my turn was reasonable. The staff here has always been professional and efficient in their service. I already had the shipping label attached for all packages, so it was a matter of turning in the package and getting the receipt with the tracking number. The shipping times are reasonable as well. I've had items shipped to me from home in California, and it took less than a week to receive them. The delivery folks also left the package in front of my apartment door, as opposed to the lobby or the front of the building (learn, FedEx!). For all shipping, I most definitely prefer UPS over other companies. Much like the stores in Los Angeles, this store has maintained a good image of UPS.

In the past when I lived in Washington Heights, the nearest UPS Access Point wasn't UPS and their hours were inconsistent - driving me nuts. It's fortunately different here with UPS's own place.
