New .. efficient & nice !!! They have a steady flow of customers but keep moving ... minimum time to wait

This review was truly the savior of the day for me, so even though it's late, better late than never. My son's birthday party was on January 18th, and if it weren't for this UPS location--and specifically Eyad--I don't know how I would've pulled everything together. The day before my son's party, I was already stressed beyond belief. I had created all of these custom items for his birthday--signs for the party, tags for the kids' goodie bags, tags for adult goodie bags, and even a little wearable necklace for him. Everything was designed, sized perfectly, high-resolution, and ready to go... or so I thought. FedEx put me through absolute hell. Back and forth, telling me the resolution was horrible, the sizing was wrong, that it couldn't be printed, then changing the story again. It became a full-on mess, and at that point I was panicking because this was the day before the party. The theme was Demon Slayer, I had put so much time and care into creating everything, and the thought of not having these pieces was really upsetting. So I went with my first instinct and went to UPS. Eyad sat down with me, pulled everything up, looked through each file, resized things perfectly, and immediately reassured me that everything looked great. He told me the resolution was fine, helped me choose the right paper, and printed everything beautifully. The paper was shiny, the colors were bright, and everything came out exactly how I envisioned it. He even made multiple copies without hesitation. What really stood out was how calm and confident he was. No attitude, no confusion, no unnecessary back-and-forth. Just, "Sure, I can do that. What size do you want? How many do you need?" And then he did it. After being told by FedEx that it couldn't be done, walking into UPS and having someone just handle it with ease was such a relief. I could literally feel my stress melting away. I really wanted to give Eyad his flowers because he absolutely saved my day. And honestly, UPS always comes through for me. Whether I need color prints, black and white, or just general help, their customer service is consistently on point. They pay attention, they know what they're talking about, and they're willing to work with you instead of making you feel like a burden. That day especially meant a lot. I walked in stressed, overwhelmed, and worried, and walked out feeling confident, relieved, and ready for my son's party. Everything came out perfect, and I'm so grateful. If you need printing done--especially last minute--and want to deal with people who actually care and know their stuff, UPS is it. And if Eyad is there, you're in very good hands. read more

I don't expect great service at a UPS store, but this store is just terrible and has rude workers. There's also a huge hole in the ground when you first walk in (they covered it with a doormat), so watch your step. I recently went through a big surgery so I was feeling weak, but still had packages to drop off. The store only had 2 people in line (one lady with a dog and a man). There was huge wind outside blowing me away, so I wanted to stand inside and wait. Once I got in, dog lady says: you know you can wait outside? The UPS worker follows with: it's 30 degrees outside (it's July). Dog lady says: oh really? I didn't know that. And they proceed to laugh together. There was plenty of space inside, so I don't understand why they feel it's appropriate to bully me into waiting outside. I don't expect anyone else to know what I was going through physically, but that was just uncalled for. The UPS worker should not be making fun of a client for simply standing in the store. UPS Store at 1636 Third Avenue is very convenient to my apartment and other businesses I frequent. The employee was ready to assist me as soon as I arrived. He was very knowledgeable. The place is clean with a copy machine and some mailing supplies. Sometimes it is required by the business that I use UPS to mail my return package. If so this is a good location for me. If you don't pay attention you might walk past for years until you need UPS! read more

Horrible customer service. I brought in a return for Amazon neatly packaged in a box having paid a return fee of $6.99 to Amazon for the return. The employee in the store told me he had to charge me to tape the box, which only required a single piece of tape across the top of the box. He said this charge was required by Amazon. I left with my box, which I will tape on my own. I find it appalling that this employee chose not to use his discretion and spend the 30 seconds and small piece of tape required to tape the top of the box without insisting that I pay extra, regardless of the "Amazon policy" . When I politely asked the cashier, Pedro G., to speak louder because I could not hear him, he said "I don't need to speak louder I have a lot of bass in my voice" and insisted that I was listening to music (I was not). Perhaps I am hard of hearing, but I find that response kind of absurd. read more

I would leave a negative review instead of one star if I could. I got to the store as they were closing and the asshole employee wouldn't let me pick up my package. Which would have taken him potentially 60 seconds but decided he didn't want to. It was petty as fuck so I am doing the same. Way to be a horrible person for no reason. read more

I come to this ups because it's close, but I really wish I didn't have too. There is one employee that has the biggest chip on his shoulder and makes you feel so on edge when in there! He is condescending and flat and lazy! He didn't want to look through the packages and told me I must have picked it up already, when I fact it was there just behind many others! The clerk is enjoying taking his sweet time with another incompetent client, laughing and wasting everyone's time while there is literally a line of 7 people waiting. Yes, UPS can be a bit pricey, but this small little location is quick with a nice staff. Had to mail some boxes out of state to family and it got the job done. I do realize that the neighborhood post office is across the street but always has long lines and the employees look like they want to kill you when you ask them for any help. Paying for the convenience and a friendlier experience is worth it to me. read more

I had to write and say something about a very special employee named Tanvir who helped me in an incredible time of need. He went above and beyond to assist in preparing for an important event. Printing was seamless, I was able to use their computer in a panic, and there was never a delay in delivering any request. Additionally, he stayed past his shift to assist in assembling programs and did so with 0 questions asked. This is truly an employee who goes above and beyond to ensure that customer satisfaction is of the highest priority. In an incredibly personally stressful situation-I am so glad that I was able to work with him. To be entirely honest, he saved my butt. Tasks were done efficiently without question, and he handled other business in the meantime without disrupting my experience or the experience of other customers. He's a rockstar, and I couldn't be more grateful. Id' like to thank him again. And again, and AGAIN. This is a fantastic place to work with, and I'm so fortunate to work close by such a wonderful facility. TL;DR: Fantastic facility in a small package, incredibly helpful employees, feeling very lucky to have had compassion in that moment. I think someone needs a raise! ;) read more

The employees at this UPS store are dishonest and dismissive. On my THIRD attempt to be refunded for a lost package, I was A) told to be patient as it would take 4-5 more weeks to process thE claim (vastly contradictory to UPS's policy, listed on their website as taking 8-10 business days), and B) PROMISED a follow-up call from the manager 2 days later. You can imagine my lack of surprise as my phone never rang. Confronting the staff the next day, management was equally dismissive, casually apologizing without making eye contact. It was only by my OWN phone call to UPS corporate that I was able to uncover that my missing package's investigation had been prematurely closed. They reopened the investigation at MY request. Had I waited for the staff at this pit to do anything about it, I'd be waiting until the block had been bought and the UPS store'd been burned down before I heard any whisper of a refund. These guys are a joke, and their practice is just this side of criminal. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS. read more

I concur with other recent reviews. I used to use the UPS Store on Lexington in the 80s, but that closed. I recently went to this UPS Store for an Amazon Return. The service was brusque, and somehow my Amazon return never showed up with the UPS tracking number I was given. ALWAYS KEEP YOUR SHIPPING RECEIPT AFTER THEY ACCEPT YOUR PACKAGE. After 4 calls to Amazon customer service, I received a refund, but my package never showed up in any system. I will try another UPS Store for my Amazon Returns in the future. Prior to going to this location, which I found on YELP, I read the reveiws. I really couldn't understand how a UPS store could be all that Bad. So, it was closer than the others, and I went. Surprise! As the associate was taking care of my needs I kept wondering when I was going to get this 0 service. Of course I never did. I went back two days later because I had more stuff to ship and once again, I was greeted as soon as I entered, I was assisted , and was still wondering when this deplorable service was going to occur. For packages and drop off this business is fine. For printing, notary or anything else they are a complete rip off. There is a FedEx copy center near by of you need printing. These guys computer doesn't work, they charge you anyway and they refuse to refund you for services not received. They will charge you $2 for a color print. Complete fraud. Buyer beware. read more

I have shipped here three times, my roommate and my girlfriend have also had identical experiences. First I thought it was really expensive. Second I checked the prices online, and the guy quoted me twice the price. When challenged he said it was "online pricing only for UPS accounts." Third, I walked in with the print out in hand showing the price quotes and he still maintained that 2x the price was the lowest he could do. Every single time he quoted (and I stupidly paid twice) the UPS Select 3 Day Service price instead of Ground (which I requested) even when they would both arrive on the same date. Don't even bother with this location if you want anything above 0 customer service. I went racing to get there before they closed and arrived right at 4pm but the sales guy let me in and was casually talking to some other customers. I was relieved because he seemed in no rush to close down the store. After I patiently waited for the other customers to leave, the sales person then tells me that he is now closed even though the front door was still unlocked and he allowed me to sit there waiting for the other people to leave. Tiny little place, but they get the job done. Usual 3rd party UPS shipping rates, which is to say, they charge more than the UPS place itself, but then again, where is that? It's across from the Post Office so your shipping needs can be taken care of in one trip if you need it that way. read more

This store is a scam. I picked up a package that was redirected here because of a lost delivery previously. The package was delivered here and 1 hour later I picked it up. Hemal charged me $15 just to pick up this package, using a fee called "Virtual Doorman," which is not a verifiable UPS service. I had a feeling I was getting scammed in the moment, but they wouldn't give me my package otherwise. He told me "look, it has the fee on the box" when I questioned it, but someone had literally just written "$15" in Sharpie on the label, probably 2 seconds prior to me coming in. I will not be returning here and I suggest that others read the reviews and heed the warnings (especially about fraudulent fees and Hemal, in particular). I plan to report this store to UPS as well, though thus far I have not been able to get through to them. Hope you all enjoy your $15. read more
