Are you kidding me? I said oh.... Where is that price? He said $2 per sheet and then mumbled off something to blow me off. I paid. And I said that's very expensive ... and he said go somewhere else. I asked kindly, do you not want this type of business (like small orders), because I was genuinely curious, and he kind of blew me off. Won't be going back. I honestly didn't even think about the price, but hours later, the absurdity of the situation compelled me to inform others. Also, this place is cash-only for anything under $10. I get it - this is a business, and there are cc fees. But in these times when good hygiene is absolutely essential, most businesses have switched to accepting exclusively credit cards. Anyways, my main point is that I feel foolish and duped, and I want to help others avoid feeling foolish and duped as well. I'm sure Global Copy is great for just standard prints but I wouldn't go here for portfolio prints. I first called over the phone where I gave a very accurate description of my project. I was first given the wrong price which I will say they made a cost adjustment so it wasn't so drastically different. I was then told they would use 70 lb paper for this type of print but when I picked it up was told they used 28lb. When I asked him the price difference he told me I wouldn't want the thicker paper. I've been creating portfolio prints for years and I would have never agreed to such thin paper. Lastly, the cut and staple placement on my saddle stitch binding was terrible. Clearly they need new blades for the cuts and the edges were rough and misaligned. Ultimately I was in a pinch with timing so I'm glad I could get something fast but I will not be returning here future portfolio prints. read more

I just had three different documents (a total of SIX pages) scanned, turned into pdf's and loaded on my flash drive. One had to be photocopied before it was scanned, but the rest of the pages (read: five) were scanned through the copier machine. All black and white, regular print pages. I went in print two pages from my gmail. I told the guy I wanted to send him a PDF so he could print. He set me down on a computer, not mentioning the $2 surcharge. I printed the 2 pages and he told me the price of $3.15. I was astonished and ask him why he didn't tell me about the computer surcharge. I use them for faxing and printing but as others have complained I bring my documents to be printed on a my own disc drive, so they just print it out. That is not overly pricey. Just don't use their computers if you don't want to pay the massive 2$. I love how people are whining like bitches about Global's pricing when a cup of coffee on the corner or at STarbucks is 4$ and up. No one complains about that. Do NOT go here. Ugh. I made the massive mistake of using this place for FedEx shipping because I didn't want to take a box down to FedEx store on 79th. Me thinks not. $40 for what should have been a $10 shipping (I ran the numbers on the FedEx online calculator). The guy next to me was being charged $9.50 for printing 15 pages - 45 c per page, then $2 minimum for computer time plus tax. And 2 of the guys spoke really bad English and were completely disorganized. Sucks that Manhattan rent is so high that they have to charge so high to reap a profit. On November 28, 2017 at around 7:20 PM I needed to drop off a package for FEDEX to pickup. I asked if he has clear tape because I wanted to secure the shipping label. This is what he said in front of another customer: "I WOULD HAVE TO CHARGE YOU $2.00" He wanted to charge me $2.00 for a piece of clear tape, not a roll of clear tape, but a piece of tape. He went on explaining as a business man he must charge for everything and I can go some where else. I look around the store and saw no signs informing customers "A piece of clear tape will cost you $2.00" I took my package some where else and they gladly secure the shipping label with no charge. I also filed a retail store complaint with the Department of Consumers Affairs. Global Copy - Horrible service, Arrogant. To Nathan F. of Global Copy My package was already sealed. There was no need to tell him I needed a pouch when it was clearly visible on the box that all I wanted to do was to put clear tape over the shipping label. I have brought numerous printing, binding and fedex shipping jobs to them for about a year now, and their work has been consistently excellent, fast and affordable. RIPOFF! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! USELESS EMPLOYEES! I called ahead of time to check if there would be a difference in price to email them the material vs. bring it in on a USB - either way was fine. When I arrived I was told to sit at a computer without any further directions. Two employees in the store and 1 other customer including myself. They charge per the minute to use the computers. I ended up going ahead and attempting to print, but their outdated version of Adobe would not let me open my documents. After getting my documents offline and printing (35 pages total) and waiting another 3 minutes to check out, my total bill came to $21 for 35 pages (black and white). I don't know what there is to complain about, I had to print a report out for my school, Went to 5 so called "Internet Cafes" none of which had a printer. Even when walking in and asking these "Internet Cafes" they were all rude and nasty. NOT GLOBAL COPY, very friendly staff, had me in and out withing 15 minutes - My report printed and bound, can't ask for better service. As for the price, very reasonable for Manhattan, you want cheaper? you need to move out of Manhattan and go to the outskirts of NY then MAYBE itll be cheaper, but will you get the same quality and speed, I BET NOT!!!!! read more

Trusted this shop with a prepaid UPS package that seems to have disappeared into thin air. UPS never received it, and the employees were unhelpful and defensive when I went back looking for it. They misrepresent themselves as an authorized UPS access point (which they are not), and the packages are left unattended within easy reach of the customers in line. Will never go back. read more

HIGHEST PRICES AROUND; UNWELCOMING ANNOYING EMPLOYEES; EMPLOYEES WHO CAN'T COMMUNICATE IN ENGLISH In this digital time, copy shops -- places that rely on paper usage -- should not be this unappreciative to its regular customers. First, I always like to use a credit card when I buy many services, including my copying and printing. I like to do this because of my personal finacial situation and none of that is the business of the Global Copy employees. But when I use it to pay, even though I always go along with their $10 credit card minimum, the same employee always give me a hard time about me using my card. If the store chooses to offer the option of using credit card, then employees cannot give you a problem. Last time, he even asked me why I use my credit card every time, which is highly personal and touchy to ask. Also, out of the three employees there, only the one white guy can speak enough English to communicate with me about their costs for Internet use. You think that if you spend your entire work days talking to customers about copy and print services, that you'd get good enough at English communication to at least explain it semi-eloquently and clearly. Their costs are very high even as if they dont realize that there are copy shops on every other block -- all with lower prices. They charge you extra if you come to print out a document and you need to access your email account to retreive the doc because you emailed it to yourself, they charge you for internet use. If this place was not so conveniently located near my home, I would happily stop giving them my business and find a cheaper copy shop. This copy shop acts all hauty taughty as if they think they are some famous copy shop throughout the city that everyone knows. read more

Came here to support a local business. I need to print from my usb drive that I use on my my Mac. I put the drive in the computer and kept hitting cancel I don't want to format and the machine must have formatted my drive anyways and wiped it. Terrible, insulting service. Both gentlemen in the store ordered me around, never said "please," and criticized my wife for saddling me with the errand I was on. I was ordered, coldly, to immediately ("Now!") move the project I was putting together, because one of the guys needed to use the counter gate. Again, no "please" or even a hint of respect. It occurred to me that I must be working for them. I hurriedly moved my stuff to a section of the counter that happened to have water on it, getting my copies wet in the process. There was more to this unfortunate exchange, but let me cut to the chase: I won't be going there again. I know we live in NYC, and the proprietors in the citywide bazaar of small businesses have a reputation for being curt and unhelpful.
