Crooked company. I paid them 80 USD to ship a 6 oz item from Germany to New York. They will hold your package hostage until you pay them the tariffs, but that's not the issue. Issue being they charged me an additional $54.95 in "brokerage fee" on top of the $24.70 in illegal tariffs, as deemed by the Supreme Court last month. So, on a $180 item, these crooks stole $159.60 from my pocket. Where's consumer protection in this country? NEVER in my life again. read more

I insured a UPS art shipment, which arrived damaged. UPS approved my claim, issued a cheque and then sent it to the wrong person. Now they are refusing to reimburse me what I am owed. I paid $235.00 to build a sturdy crate for shipping. It would have been well-protected so it had to have been dropped from a considerable height during transit. It is fraudlent to sell a customer insurance, agree to pay it, make a mistake and pay the wrong customer and then refuse to pay the righful claim. I thought this UPS Store on 30 E 125th St NY NY 10029 would be my answer to my stolen packages, but I've actually lost more packages here than any where else. I lost my mind when worker Jennifer who's is not a manager or supervisor after all ,always looked down on me ( and everyone else ) signed for the same package this month then told it never arrived. The company replaced it last month but again?? I called the police on her and she on me . There was not much they could do to help me even though it showed she signed for it. And they definitely didnt help her as most the police know me from the neighborhood and that im not trouble. She took revenge on me by banning me from the store( even though we paid for our mailbox for 3 months.) She also refused to ever continue services there even though she has no authority. If you encounter workers on the rest of the team they are pretty awesome. Its too bad one person ruins the other workers hard efforts and great customer service. If you look at the reviews on google you'll see this establishments mostly filled to the brim with complaints about Jennifer. I DONT recommend going there as this worker has been there for years and will be the one to drive it out of bussiness. People she's always there arguing with customers. This location has a ridiculous policy that you can only ship express packages on Saturdays. What is the logic behind this rule? I went to return an amazon package which they were able to accept and to ship an additional package. I was told I would have to come back on a different day so that they could print a non express shipping label the next day. I am literally there with a package and trying to give them business but they refuse. I went to the USPS office 1 block away and happily used them to ship the package and didn't mind that it probably cost a couple of dollars more. read more

I often use this store location to return rent the runway dresses from the previous weekend because of it's convenience and proximity to my office. Every single Monday morning when I have tried to return my package to the front desk the store has not been open on time (I've rented at least 12 items in the last 12 months). The hours on a week day start at 8:30 am and there are some days in which the store opens at 8:45 am. The girl who opens has never once apologized for the delay. Terrible service and management. This morning, they hadn't opened until after 9:15 am. I had to walk to another location that apparently has an employee that can arrive on time. read more

this is about the UPS store on 43rd street and Lexington. The service I received there tonight was as bad as service could possibly be. I arrived around 7.30pm. there was only one guy on duty and he was nasty and rude beyond what I could possibly describe. I have never experienced anything even remotely close to this one. I did completely nothing to trigger such a behavior - I did not say anything nor did anything that could have possibly annoyed him. he was just unbelievably nasty. Wow! If I could give 10 stars I would. Store manager named Samisha Brimmage (goes by Sam) was one of the kindest people I've ever encountered. She was extremely knowledgeable about every product from printing to shipping to tracking and so on. I spent some time on the computer and throughout my time inside the UPS store I watched Sam maintain her cool when she had over 6 customers asking her different questions at the same time. She helped me with my return simply and quickly. I have had horrific experiences at FedEx but I've finally found my spot to print/ship. The location is perfect, right next to grand central. If you're in New York City this is the place to ship, print, etc. Sam thank you for being so kind. You brightened my morning and I'm sure many others left with a smile on their face! UPS - Worse Than Worst. So...I go to the Staples store nearby to send a letter using the account number I have. The Staples store said that they can't take the account number as payment, and I should I go to the UPS store to do that. I then went to this store. I walk in and tell the individual at the counter that I want to send a letter using the account number. He blathers to me that "all UPS stores are independently, operated franchises." This was apparently "UPS-speak" for "we don't take account numbers by payment either." I then asked him if I could print it out using one of their computers there at which point he told me that I could, but it was a minimum $3.00 charge to use the computer. When I asked him where exactly I could go to pay with the UPS account number? 43rd and 11th Avenue...nearly 10 blocks away, clear across to the west side of town. So, let's review: they don't take UPS account numbers at a UPS store; they want to charge me, at a minimum, to print out a label so that I can also pay them to ship the item. Any time I have sent something via FedEx, they ALWAYS let me just put my account number on the slip. Why anyone would utilize UPS is beyond me. This company epitomizes poor customer service. The WORST service I've received in the city. I'm still shocked about it. The manger (or so he says.. his name was Joe Amador, anyway) was SO RUDE. He refused to put my shipment in a box (that I paid for!) and said he "will do it later", tossed my shipment to the side like it was garbage (and excuse me, it's not), didn't give me any receipt or indication that my package is even going to be shipped and treated me like i'm a hassle and not a paying costumer. And the quote of the day - when I asked him what is his problem and why wouldn't he just treat me like a normal customer who want to ship something, he said that I have "confidence issues" and I need to work on it. This location was the only help I had at all!!! Chuck did way more than he did. Supervisors I have talked to: Chris, Ronald, Travis, Joseph Did any of the things they said happen would happen? No Did they give u def dates of when things would happen or be delivered? Did they happen? Yes and no How many hours on the phone have u been on the phone with customer service? Over 7 hours For what I went thought with domestic, international, calling canada, talking to supervisors just to get a package returned, and they all said something different, then I got pretty much "schooled " by a surpervisor about how I don't know how things worked, rude, angry, know it all, no listening skills, after 8 hours during my work week to get a package returned (back to this location location) on the phone, now corporate has sent it to my address, so pretty much I have WASTED a entire day of my life with this "business" and finally when I was promised everything was fine and they still have completely F***** up. And Now I gotta either spend more money to change the address to what it was suppose to be, or spend more time on the phone with people who cannot make happen what they say will happen. This location was a huge help and supporter of my problems and they were on my side about of ridiculous this business is runned. They hate this business as much as I do now, which should tell u UPS is Crock. Will never use their SERVICE AGAIN! I can't complain about the staff as they were courteous but what is the point of going to the UPS store if they can't print their own shipping labels? I have receiving a label in my email and based on the tracking I supposed they would have been able in a matter of seconds to print out the label and get my (heavy) package out of the way. Instead they referred my to the computer station ($3 fee) and then they would also have been a $2,5 fee for affixing the label to the box. What kind of company wouldnt print their own labels? There was a time that the service at UPS stood out as better than the public option. No more--please consider this place worse than USPS. They make you jump through hoops and fill out a form to mail a single pre-addressed letter, then ignore what you fill out and ask you if you want to use the information stored in the computer. Then you sign a page-long "terms and conditions" document disclaiming liability--and endure attitude from the guys behind the counter. I am extremely disappointed by the service I have received from this particular UPS store. To be clear -- it was established that the item was damaged due to the way it was packed at the store. What makes the matter worse is that the item had to be shipped from Portland back to New York (this took another week); and, at this point, the item is being shipped back to Portland so that the damage can be repaired. I have been dealing with this since 19th of September !!!!! We have been told to provide the store with the invoice, but it's hard to believe that any of it can be resolved considering the amount of inconvenience that has been caused. STORE REPEATEDLY DOESN'T OPEN ON TIME! Got there just before 8:30AM (opening is 8:30AM). I waited until 9AM and still not open! Made me late to work AND I still haven't sent out the package. If it was one time I'd be understanding, but this was the 3rd time in 2 weeks. Terrible way to operate a business. No more - There's other locations that I'll visit, though the truth is it's a poor reflection of UPS as a whole and I'll be bringing more of my business to the competition. By the way - this location is less than a block away from USPS and at least they keep their posted hours. I went to the UPS store as I needed a notary. I waited for 25 minutes as there is only one notary person. At first I was told that she was on the phone. Then I was told she was in the bathroom and was asked if I wanted to wait or go to a Chase Bank up the block. I decided to wait. After 25 minutes, I asked the employees was the lady out of the bathroom as yet, and was told that she was either in the bathroom or in the back doing something else. At no time did any of the 2 employees at the front area checked in the back to see if the notary person was available. After 25 minutes, I decided to leave. I will not return. I had an awesome experience with this store! Sad to see the other reviews, but, maybe things have changed in the past year since the others are dated. I went here with a prepaid return slip for an online purchase but the company had sent me an invalid return order slip and these guys were great in helping me out. They explained the situation, told me exactly what to do and even offered to keep my big package in the store until I got a replacement slip from the online vendor. Glenn was awesome, and gave me a business card with all their info and his name in case I had any questions. I will use this store next time I need to send something out on my own. read more
