This was my mail box home for 11 years when I first moved to NYC back in 1997. I moved to the burbs and gave up my box. Just moved back to the city and am now using them as my go to delivery spot for packages for our nonprofit for the homeless. It's under new management. But the staff here is still giving the same exceptional, friendly and helpful service that made me love this place. Danny, the owner, was amazing, especially seeing that we had 10 packages to pick up. They've remodeled the place too, making much easier to find what you need and take advantage of all the services they provide. So many of these mail box stores are not up to par. Mailed is still open during COVID-19 and to my eyes, they have taken some of the best steps in the neighborhood to protect themselves and their customers. They separated the inside of the store from the doorway with a table to leave packages on, and all the employees have been wearing masks and following social distancing guidelines well. Wish more places were taking this as seriously as they are and I'm as thankful as I've ever been that we have Mailed here in Chelsea. Previous review: Mailed is a shining example of everything a small business can do right to distinguish itself. I'm in there at least once a week dropping off packages and no matter who is behind the counter I'm greeted with a smile and exceptional service. I needed to ship a difficult to pack chair to an eBay customer so I walked around the corner and asked if they could help. I was greeted by the owner Gene who personally came the next day with a hand truck to my building to help me carry/repack and ship the chair. The shop has been completely renovated - now with proper packing space downstairs. I couldn't believe how secure/well packed the chair was, and in such a compact box - saving me a bunch $$$ on the shipping itself! These guys can do everything. First, in no way can the desk staff at 1HomeOffice be blamed for what happened to us here: the fault lies entirely with the owners/managers Gene Frisco and Daniel Balarezo: On Tuesday, 12/22/2021 my wife and I paid 1HomeOffice over $500.00 for a special gift for a family member to be delivered by 3-day UPS shipping to Scotland, tracked and signature required. This price included insurance on the item up to a value of $7000. Despite the owners/managers later claiming otherwise, we were NOT informed about the possibility of the package being held up for 'import fees' or 'customs dues', or of the potential delays as a result of the package contents being valued over $2500. I walked out of 1HomeOffice that morning confident that our package would be delivered safely and with no further expense or action on our part being required. The next morning I woke up to emails from UPS with several complicated forms that needed to be filled out before the delivery could proceed. I forwarded the forms to 1HomeOffice and later that morning met with Daniel Balarezo "Danny" who assured me that they would deal with the forms. At this time the possibility that further fees may be due before the delivery could be completed was introduced. I stated that had we been informed of this prior, we would not have attempted to ship the item. It was only due to very special circumstances that we decided to pay the $500 in the first place. When I returned home, I looked up the UPS tracking information and a notice had been posted to the page indicating that import fees were due: $2,044.42 I immediately notified 1HomeOffice and asked that the package be returned as we obviously couldn't pay those fees. 1HomeOffice notified me the next day once the package had been returned to them and I went to pick it up and receive the refund. . . That was when I was told that our $500 would NOT be refunded, that I had been informed from the outset of the possibility of further expense and that we were advised against insuring the package for more than $2500 by the desk staff. I was then also lied to about the package needing to be returned from the UK (it never made it further than Philadelphia according to the tracking record) and that 1HomeOffice had incurred fees for the parcel to be returned (which they didn't--I know because I spoke with a UPS agent about that exact possibility the day before). I was then escorted into the basement of 1HomeOffice to meet with "the boss", Gene Frisco, who told me that because of the way I "presented myself", I "should have known about the customs laws of the United Kingdom" and that as such, we were responsible and that our $500 would not be refunded. After several minutes of my suggesting that that was ridiculous, an offer of a return of $250 was made, which I balked at and was subsequently invited to leave. Which I was glad to do. It's not that my wife and I believe that the owners/managers of 1HomeOffice are systematically defrauding their customers; we take no joy in leaving reviews like this about small businesses. But to make us responsible financially, to blame us for what happened, and to lie about several points of fact in an attempt to justify not refunding the money which we paid in good faith is very bad form and not the way to earn a good and lasting relationship with the residents of Chelsea. Unfortunately we have no choice now but to pursue further recourse. It's a shame, because I don't think this happens a lot: I think 1HomeOffice should absorb the cost of what was clearly their mistake and that they should take the time to train their otherwise excellent staff better and not put them in the position of not being able to provide customers with the information they need to make informed decisions. DO NOT GO HERE!!! Extremely rude and sketchy customer service! I went to drop off a package and they were going to charge me $1 just to drop off when I already had a printed label. I said ok but the guy insisted that I didn't need to drop it off there if I didn't want to pay. Like excuse me? This isn't even fee charged by the courier. I asked if they can provide me with a drop off receipt so I can track my shipping and he said no. So what exactly are u charging me for? Trust me I was ready to donate my $1 but not with the nasty attitude he gave me and the feeling I had that he would compromise my package on purpose. BEWARE!!!!!! read more

I always forget about this place, until I need to mail something and then I remember how fabulous it is, because I actually enjoy the process! Danny and his team are one of the few surviving small businesses left in Chelsea and they make sending anything, a total breeze. You can just walk in and say, I want to send this here and that there, and they will quickly find the right packaging (often for free, if it's a simple - who does that?!) and tell you the options, since they use all major carriers. I went to this shipping facility on January 2021. I never had to send back a package through DHL before. I had ordered something from a different country (GB) and had to return it. The people at 1HomeOffice were so helpful. When I gave the counter person the package he told me that the paperwork on the package is such that the package would just sit at the store without being picked up. The return label was missing certain information. It seemed that the counter person was about to just hand the package back to me and tell me that I have to call the company and/or communicate through email with them until they send me the right shipping documents. But then the counterperson just said that he will try to do something so that I need not take the package back home and have to go through a lot of waiting and dead-end communicating with the company. So what I had to do was try and access my email through my cell phone. (The store staff had to tell me the password for the WiFi in the store) The overseas company had already sent certain attachments by email but I had not downloaded and printed the most-needed ones . After I accessed that email on my cell phone, I was to forward the document to !HomeOffice's email so that the store personnel can receive it on their computer and print it out. It took a while for me to access my email but I managed to eventually forward the company email to 1HomeOffice. The store workers printed the paper out and then the package would have the right papers so as to be picked up. I asked how much it would cost for the printing of the paper. The counter person told me that i can forget the cost of the printout. I told him that I rather pay and it could not be more than maybe three dollars. So The counter person told me it is $.150 for the printout (or that is what I now best recall of the price) and I paid it and that was that. The package was sent back to Great Britain and I eventually got my refund for the returned merchandise. I was very happy with the service at 1HomeOffice. I was glad I did not have to take the package home and figure out what to do about it myself. The staff took a good deal of time to have the package properly prepared to be picked up. read more

The people who work here are so nice. The store has been in Chelsea for as long as i can remember. They're packaging is expensive, but they've helped me out in a few binds when I've had irregular shaped packages that need to be shipped. They take the extra time to make sure you're getting what you need. I also find it great that they take packing materials here and recycle them. For example, I got a bunch of packing peanuts in a package and brought them here so that they could reuse them. read more

Love these guys! For the six years my wife and I lived in NYC, we used Mailed Inc. as our primary PMB. No matter how much mail we got, packages large or small, they can handle it. Plus, dammit they're just great people, super friendly and helpful. We moved back to LA and I actually miss them a little! My mailbox guys! (I know, I think it's a bit weird, too.) Do they have 24-hour access? No they do not, but they were close to home and open 7 days a week, so it was rarely an issue. Check 'em out! read more

Amazing!!! I've used them for years and find Paulette, Tommy and the rest of the team to be completely trustworthy and dependable. I love that it is a one-stop shop for shipping, faxing, photocopying, receiving mail, etc. I can even get lottery tickets there. Some years I have had a mailbox with them and other times have just used their services as needed, and in all cases have been extremely pleased. They always carefully pack and ship my boxes so they arrive safety and they take care of the shipments I receive so I can travel without worry. Extremely efficient service and friendly staff make this Chelsea business an attractive location for out-of-towners, frequent travelers, or clients who do not want to rent a traditional post office box to get a permanent mailing address. While the costs of renting a box is extremely costly (over $800 for two year agreement) the turnaround time and professionalism when dealing with your parcels and forwarding mail to another address is top notch.
