They have plenty of seating, some upholstered furniture and we saw a few Friday morning telecommuters working on their laptops and sipping their coffees. Our order was a Chai Latte and a Cold Brew - each was $5. The pours were very large, and I swear that my cold brew was the very best I've ever had. I love coffee, drinking it hot or cold, and what I had here is in my all-time Top Five Percent. It was that good. I had a sip of my wife's Chai Latte and thought it was excellent as well. What really impressed me were the flavors of both drinks- not overpowering, but strong enough to appreciate them. The Coffee Guy has it all - specialty coffees, matcha, chai, espresso drinks, and pastries and sweet treats to pair with your coffee cup. We couldn't resist grabbing a few on our way out, and we took home a box with a Spinach croissant, iced blueberry scone, and a cruffin (croissant/muffin hybrid). The pumpkin cold foam is amazing, I want to put it on everything. It also comes topped with an adorable meringue pumpkin and cute and inspiring quote written on the side. Parking is on the street around the corner, since the street the shop is on is closed to cars and open to pedestrians only, which adds to the charm of the area. You order at the counter, get a number, and they bring your food right to your table. When you're finished, you clear your own dishes to the bin, which keeps the place tidy. I also noticed the staff going around regularly wiping tables and keeping everything clean and welcoming. Overall, Bloom Bake Shop has a great vibe, tasty food, and friendly service. I was told it was a large coffee split into two. Never again will I purchase one of these duo cups. The coffee itself is very good, but the pricing should be altered a little bit. We also got mini macarrones, which I thought would be better than a tasted! They were stale!! They taste it absolutely horrible and there was no flavor. No differentiation between the chocolate, coffee, or the lemon. It all tasted by straight sugar and cardboard. Since I normally like to try local coffee shops, I fired up Yelp and found Rebel Dog Coffee nearby. This shop is located right on Main St and can be seen from the road, but parking is around the back via Ensign St. The inside of this shop is large, with a giant coffee bar and a number of different tables throughout. The floors look like clear-coated concrete and the ceiling is painted black with exposed ductwork. After looking over the menu on this morning, I went with a large hot latte. It was only after I ordered that I saw their specials as well as local favorites on chalkboards along the wall. After only a couple of minutes, I had my coffee and was quickly on my way. As for the coffee itself, it was solid. You could definitely taste the deep and strong coffee flavor, and the milk played a nice supporting role where you knew it was there but it wasn't covering up the coffee. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I thought that the coffee was good and the service was quick, and I would like to try some of those local favorites.
