Cool atmosphere with the WWII pics n mini planes. We came on a busy Sunday. Tight parking around the back or across the street. The restaurant is small so the line was literally out the door. Wait was about 20 minutes and it was summer so not bad. Service was kinda rushed so be prepared to know what you want. We had the corn beef hash and Capt crunch french toast with bacon. Food was just ok. I was expecting a little more from the french toast as its talked about quite a bit. Just wasn't favorable enough to me. My sweetie was ok with the hash but added lots of salt n pepper and hot sauce. Employees seemed like they have worked there for quite awhile and brought the bill quickly. Didn't take the leftovers because I didn't think it would travel well. It was worth it to see the decor. Not sure I would return. Pay at the counter

Generally speaking, not a bad spot for breakfast. Service was fast and very friendly and the ambiance was very cool, there are photo ops everywhere, they've really embraced the theme. Pancakes, eggs, sausage and hash browns all lacked much to be desired and came out a bit cold but the signature Captain crunch French toast, totally held its own. It wouldn't be my first choice for breakfast in the future but until you've had the crunch, you can keep this on your list!

The food was amazing, the portions were big, and the staff was attentive. I had to wait in line to get in but it was worth it! The decorations were fitting for the name, military decor and airplanes all around.

Tried the famous "Bomber's" in Ypsi this past weekend. I go by the idea of getting what restaurants are known for, so I knew I was getting the Captain Crunch French Toast. I thought it was really good! I did want the cereal to shine a bit more, but it can be hard when there is syrup and whipped cream involved. My friends decided to stray off the beaten path and were disappointed with the hash browns and potatoes in their meals. If they fried those up a bit more, I think their meals would've been delish too! Our server was incredibly nice and attentive and we were sat pretty fast, which I heard is unusual. The decor is all war-related, which is no surprise when you know the name is called "Bomber".

At the recommendation of several locals we tried The Bomber and happy we did. Place was a small local dinner, showing respect to the women during WW2 and its military service. It was clean, busy and staff friendly. I had the Bomber Omelet and the wife had pancakes. Both were fantastic and filling and priced within reason. I'm not local but I recommend the place myself now.

I had been living in Ann Arbor for about 10 years before my husband realized I'd never been to the Bomber in Ypsi. He was shocked and we immediately made a plan to go on a Saturday afternoon. I prepared by looking at the photos on Yelp and decided that I was going to go big for my first visit and went with the Sunrise Biscuit, a biscuit layered with sausage patties, two eggs, American cheese, and topped with country gravy. My husband went even more over the top with the Bomber Omelet, a combination of four eggs plus ham, sausage, bacon, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, and several slices of American cheese. Potatoes for both of us and an order of french toast to split for good measure. It was all so good! Nothing fancy but perfect the comfort food. Plus cheap and the portion sizes were absolutely wild. And the servers were just incredibly friendly. We got there right before close and they were still so welcoming and warm. The interior is also fun to look at, as it's basically an homage to the Willow Run bomber plant that operated in town during WW2. You'll find tons of memorabilia all over including newspaper clippings, photos, model planes, military uniforms, etc. My husband is a big airplane nerd and he loves taking it all in! I can tell you it won't be another decade before we return!

I love diners. There's always something on the menu for everyone and the decor often harkens back to a time when life was simple. The theme of this particular establishment appears to be aviation (hence the name). I was immediately feeling good about my decision to eat here. Since I was craving fried fish I decided on the fish and chips, which happened to be that day's lunch special. My server was very attentive and brought all my items in a timely fashion. As far as food is concerned I was satisfied overall. The fried cod was good/average with the tarter sauce being a little disappointing. I think the one thing I didn't care too much for was the very runny coleslaw. It tasted fine, but just soggy and obviously needed a plate underneath to catch the excess. Aside from that I'm sure the restaurant has other great menu items I would like to come back and try later.

Bring your appetite! Met my cousin here while we were in Ann Arbor for a hockey tournament. Everything was delicious! Service was excellent, and the atmosphere was awesome. Lots of military memorabilia. Highly recommend, but make sure you bring an appetite for whatever you order!

This Sunday, my mom invited myself and my siblings to join her for brunch. The ambience was amazing - with lovely natural lighting and gorgeous table settings. The menu makes every dish seem mouthwatering and delicious. When the plates came out, they were gorgeous and the food looked so inviting. Unfortunately, the taste was completely lacking. If you're going to charge the prices they're charging, the flavor should be amazing in every single bite. We sampled four different dishes, and none blew me away. Some, were even borderline "bad." Here's a rundown: mushroom pizza - the description makes it seem like it will be cheesy and full of flavor, but it was very one note duck confit pizza - had three pieces of duck on it and was otherwise covered in hot peppers lemon blueberry pancake - more of a skillet cake - sauce was the best part, otherwise dry on the bottom Raclette burger - $30 which is almost comparable in price to a burger I had at The Four Seasons in Maui. That burger, was worth every penny. This one had absolutely no flavor. The meat tasted like mush - definitely lacked seasoning, and there was not a speck of cheese to be found. If you're going to call a burger a raclette, it should be oozing with cheese. grilled Romaine salad - leaves were bitter and the dressing again, looked delicious, but had no flavor. The flavors did not compliment each other at all - with the pickled grapes, taking away from the dish and contrasting very starkly against the rotten tasting lettuce Brown sugar oat milk latte - really the only thing that delivered both on looks and on flavor. Sadly, not high on my list of places to return. It kind of made me think of Vegas: lots of pomp and glam which momentarily distracts you into thinking you're having the best time of your life. But in retrospect, not very fulfilling.

This place is a nice size, they have an outside patio area for the nice days. Our waitress was super nice and on point with service. Ordered the 9oz Tropical Mimosa and it came in tall glass and was very good. I ordered the Jerk Wings, they were good but the sauce was more of a habanero spice that was too spicy for me. I also had a side of the collard greens that were a little too sweet for my liking and I tried a cup of the Gumbo that was very good and flavorful. My daughter got the shrimp and grits they were amazing, she also had a waffle and it was good. The waitress gave us two beignets for free since it was our first time. My daughter said they were good. There was a long line of customers, but the wait was tolerable, barely 10 minutes. The restaurant is much larger and brighter; the large windows allow in more light. Service was quick, allowing more customers to be served. My rule for dining out is to select dishes I don't make well at home due to a lack of skill or ingredients. So here, it meant a lobster omelette and pancakes. Yes, I'm a failure with pancakes, despite the numerous, numerous times I've attempted them. One, I rarely keep milk at home, and two, my pancakes tend to burn. Sigh. The pancakes here are fluffy and delicious. I even liked the fake, thick pancake syrup served here. The omelette was savory and well-prepared. My friend had the baked French Toast, which looked appetizing and dessert-like. Service was quick and responsive.

From the written menu, I thought this was going to be butterfly pea powder, cinnamon, almond milk, maple syrup, coconut whipped cream. However, when ordering the Blue Whale drink on the self serve order kiosk, it's described as "Blue Majik" spirulina/energy boosting botanicals (carbonated). The drink I got fit the latter's description. Would suggest updating the board :). I did get a little jittery afterwards, but unsure if that was from the "energy boosting" botanicals or from a coffee I had a couple hours earlier. (Or combo - I do tend to be more sensitive to caffeine, and assuming this drink was caffeine free.) Free WiFi and seating/outlets to do a bit of work here.
